Got a phone call 3 mins before my reservation confirming. When we arrived we asked for an outside table and we were quickly accommodated. Unfortunately, due to us having a 945 pm reservation their specials ran out :( I had the shrimp and grits which per the reviews was amazing… I was not disappointed.

Went there in a Wednesday night with four friends to celebrate a birthday. Saw the reviews on here… that’s how we decided. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The wine list is ridiculous! Lots and lots of wine for $ 200 a bottle. And none that any of us had heard of. Waiter was very condescending when we asked to taste one and acted like we all just fell off the back of a turnip truck and were SO uncultured! I think every restaurant should have a few decent bottles in the $ 30 to $ 50 price range! Describing the wine and the food he was so pretentious! Let me just say that the five of us have eaten at many good restaurants around the world and are NOT stupid or unexperienced. Another reviewer mentioned skipping this place and going to Hennins! I agree wholeheartedly.

Good lunch spot by the Chattanooga aquarium. We had a large party and we sat right away. They had a big selection and great beer on tap. Dozen raw oysters were good but could have been cleaned better. Steak and eggs with pork belly hash was amazing. Best brunch dish I ever had. Little pricey but good food and experience overall.

This is the second time I’ve eaten here and the food is very good. I got a slow braised beef brisket and it was delicious. Service also very good and the inside ambiance very nice. My meal was $ 28 which I felt was a fair price for the quality of the food. I would love to see a meat, cheese, bread appetizer on the menu. You can get all these items but they are separate on the appetizer small plates.

Some of these negative reviews are so funny/dumb. I’ve eaten at Easy prob 10+ times and it has been fantastic, in all respects, every single time. I’ve not had another place in Chatt that is on par food quality wise. I split my time between Chatt and downtown Toronto and have eaten in many of TO’s upscale restaurants. Using that as a comparison, Easy is absolutely a top tier place and worth the $. I can’t speak on their oysters though.

Hummmm. Where do I start. Love the décor in this place. Large inside dining area and a front patio. A bit on the loud side. A few tables with little kids with parents that didn’t care to teach them discipline. Menu seemed very limited for main dishes. No daily specials. Thursday nights they offer oysters for .50 cents each. Maybe for that price your on your own to clean them? Never had oysters before with dirt and grim all over outside and inside. They were served warmer that room temperature? I ordered 6 and they were served with a giant thing of cocktail sauce and a tiny, tiny lemon piece… with enough lemon juice(half of a squeeze) for one oyster:(my husband say that’s what you get for 50cents a piece? Service was adequate. I expected so much more. Even a smile from the server would have been nice. My husband had the chicken and he ate it all. My son had steak and fries and he seemed to enjoyed it. I had a salad and French onion soup and both were average. Dessert the three of us shared the crème puffs and a crème brûlée. Both tasted good.

Wanted to enjoy this place. Really and truly wanted to enjoy… but ICK! The interior was beautiful but LOUD. One group of women came in and it sounded like a middle school on early release day. Could not hear my husband seated next to me over the cacophony of grown women who never learned what an indoor voice is! :( We were at the bar enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail(him) and some dates with bacon and balsamic(me) and had to basically beg for service. Sat there several minutes before being acknowledged by anyone as the servers all gathered at the other end of the bar sampling red wine. When we were finally addressed it was very flat, no engagement or seeming glad to have us there. The place was almost completely empty at 6 on a Saturday, so that should have been a clue to us. In any event— One of the servers opened a bottle of champagne and the cork flew within just a few feet of my husband’s face and landed on the bar and when the person came to get it, no apology or asking if we were okay. Just schoolgirl giggling and talking back to the other servers at the other end, which we found terribly rude and lacking any care whatsoever! We waited and waited and waited for our bill and finally left cash and headed out. Truly disappointed and will NOT be returning. Go two blocks down to Aquarium, make a left and then a quick right onto Chestnut and go to Hennen’s and you can thank me later!

I read a lot of comments about this place being pretentious and you definitely get that vibe when you walk in. However, our hostess was very nice who set us and our waiter was excellent as well. We were coming from out of town so we did bring our kids, they love the food. Yes they do have a kids menu here believe it or not. My husband walked in and he accidentally broke a small plate with the diaper bag as he was going to take it off. The chef came out moments later to give us the side-eye. He stared at us angrily and then went back into the kitchen. That was our only real negative experience. I think my husband was nervous because I read some of the reviews before we got there. Sometimes when people are so uptight it does make it harder to be in their establishment and therefore you make mistakes. We of course Apologized but it definitely felt awkward after being stared down. The gnocchi was absolutely amazing. The steak was just OK it’s two pieces of steak and it was ordered mid rare and came out medium. The veggies on the steak were much better than the actual steak. You definitely will not be full after eating your entrée. The portion sizes are pretty small. But the food is very tasty.

Swanky and fun, but a tad pretentious. Wine list and drinks are ok, but too many Pinot Noirs and not enough other red wine variety by the glass. Oysters were fantastic. Alligator tail was the most interesting dish(and very good), the creamed mustard on the steak tartare was fantastic with the egg — both of these dishes overtook the pork belly in umami. Ended with the lemon custard and the pecan bread pudding — which were both lethally good! Overall, bill split 3 ways was $ 75 each, including tip.

This restaurant is cute, charming and a lovely upscale alternative to the more casual places that surround it in Downtown Chattanooga. While we didn’t sample a wide variety of items from the menu, the food we did try was absolutely exceptional. We had a crawfish and seafood dip as an appetizer, which was creamy, warm and yummy. But the best part of the meal was the entrée. We both ordered the same thing, the strip steak, and it was delicious! The steak was perfectly cooked and served with decadent beets and morel mushrooms and it was set atop some luscious and velvety grits. It was so good. If I am ever back in Chattanooga, I will definitely be back.

To start, I love the bar at Easy Bistro and the cocktails here are some of the best in town. If you’re looking for a nice craft cocktail bar, look no further. You won’t be disappointed. Just wish the bar stayed open later in the evening. Being impressed with the bar, I thought I would feel the same for the restaurant, but it fell flat very quickly. I came in for brunch on a busy weekend, and the waitress our group had was unfriendly and the food itself was only average at best. For the prices at Easy Bistro, I expect higher quality. I found that the waitress was not accommodating to my dietary needs– not sure if this was laziness on her part or a reflection on the restaurant as a whole. Come for the drinks.

Easy Bistro is in the revamped Coca Cola bottling plant in Chattanooga. It’s inventive menu and attentive service raise it to one of the top spots in town, and if it was transplanted to a large city, would likely excel there too. I had the mushroom risotto and it was absolutely exceptional. Rich flavors and a very generous portion made this a definite must-have. My friends had the GrandMere chicken and the Steak and Frites. The steak was tender and delicious. Had I been able to have the steak with the risotto(without stealing my friend’s dinner), I would have died and gone to heaven. Add in a great selection from the bar and beautiful desserts and you have a top-notch spot I’ll return to the next time I’m in Chattanooga.

This place is fantastic! They have an extensive drink selection, including the ever elusive Pappy Van Winkle, as well as an extensive beer and wine menu and delicious cocktails. We were here for brunch and there wasn’t anything we ordered that wasn’t delicious. The egg white omelette was light but rich, the eggs Benedict had the best hollandaise sauce we have ever tried, and I will never be able to stop dreaming about the cinnamon rolls!

A casual sophistication. Can’t find better words for it. Food was something like 4.25 stars, space was 5, service was 5+. Would definitely come back next time we’re in town. Ask John Allen(manager, sometimes server) for pairing recommendations. Great fresh oysters. Cauliflower in brown butter and citrus was incredible. Lobster ceviche was light and well balanced, not overly special but well executed. Bbq razor clams on apple and buttermilk had the greatest flavor and preparation, but the clams themselves contributed primarily texture – not clam flavor. Highlight was the lamb. Perfectly medium rare and that balance of lamb flavor without being overly gamey. Roast vegetables and cauliflower mousse were great complements but get a bite of lamb by itself. Great dining experience, worthy of mention along the better restaurants in bigger cities(we are from Atlanta and this place stands up against the best casual fine dining in town).

I have to say, that last night I had one of the best dinners I’ve ever had. Service was impeccable, and the décor is elegant. The menu is varied and very creative and I found the wine list excellent. It is pricey, but we had a wonderful dinner there.

Picked up take out for a night in with my hubby. We got drinks and an appetizer while we waited for our food. The drinks were good and the bartender was pretty knowledgable about what drinks we should order based off our tastes. When we got our food home, it wasn’t very much food(which was ok since we had appetizers. Would be kind of annoying if it was all we ordered to share.) However it was delicious! Not entirely sure we would come back here if we lived in Chattanooga, but I’m not mad we ate here!

Great experience and tasty food. This Parisian style Art Deco restaurant was a perfect choice. Incredible location right next to the waterfront(a block away) and dog friendly for outside seating. The bloody Mary’s were incredible as well as the Capri salad, oysters and spiced nuts. Highly recommend!

A premium price creates premium expectations, but delivery was lacking. We had reservations for a party of six and we were seated on time, but on bar chairs at a high table instead of at a standard-height table. I would have appreciated if they’d ask about our preference. To add insult to injury the chairs were missing glides at the end of one or more legs, so their instability was acerbated by their height. I was going to swap with the unoccupied chairs at the neighboring empty table, but each of them also had the wobbly defect. The restaurant is also teetotaler unfriendly and did not have a fountain offering, and we all had to settle for tea. Service was prompt and friendly, and we started with the House-Made Bread Assortment of foccacia, sourdough(infused with hot peppers), pretzel, benne seed cracker, and challah bread with olive tapenade and Dijon mustard. We found the mustard too pungent and strong, and I wish there had been more selection for toppings. But on the upside the tapenade and the breads were excellent and represents the best value of all the appetizers. We also had the toasted flatbread with Crawfish & Artichoke Dip. The dip was full of flavor and the crawfish were fresh and of excellent quality and the proper purging prep was easily visible. I had a couple of small plates, with the Shrimp & Grits being my favorite and I wish had been offered as an entrée. I was also disappointed that the Orrechiette Seafood Pasta was missing from the menu after seeing it mentioned in so many reviews and photos. With a constantly changing menu it would be nice for a few of the more favorite items to serve as anchors so that customers aren’t forced to choose from the lesser of several evils. Speaking of which, my other small plate was Roasted Spanish Octopus with chorizo crepinette, eggplant purée, squid ink chicken skin, ambrosia corn, and floral garnish. The charr was a bit overdone on a few pieces and each of the accoutrement was a contrast rather than complimentary. Except for the squid ink chicken skin, whose contrast was purely visible, and had the consistency of a black flavorless chip of bark. My wife had the Local Half Chicken(Poussin), which she found nice but unexceptional. It came with gigantic spears of grilled asparagus that were too tough to eat. The pioppini mushrooms, however, were excellent. It also came with whipped potato, spring herbs, and natural jus. The entrees of our other guests fared much better. They had about a dozen of the Sauteed PEI Mussels with fries substituted for the grilled crostini; the Steak Frites with herb butter; the Slow-Braised Beef Brisket with green beans and with fries substituted for the whipped potato; and the Sauteed Steelhead Trout with wild rice purloo and chanterelles pressed into a cylinder and topped with a single braised leaf of savoy cabbage and a garnish of pattypan squash and a seasoning of Ranier cherries and black truffle jus. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was upscale. The harsh modern surfaces made for a noisy environment and made conversation difficult. While some of the food was quite good, it did not match its pricing and no aspect of this business compensated for that gap. Given the parking inconvenience I would not be tempted to return or to try other menu offerings.

I have been coming here for years and am NEVER disappointed. Honestly I feel so lucky to have a quality place to wine&dine here in Chattanooga! The menu changes often so there is always something new and delicious to try. The bar is my favorite place to be. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and very well-trained. THEDRINKS: Best drinks in town! If you can think of it they can make it! Love their mixologists. It’s a fun atmosphere with quality drinks that are well worth the visit! THEFOOD: The food is a quality that you would not expect from a smaller city like Chattanooga. I often remind my significant other that this chef is in charge of making me my last meal one day(: I pride myself on being a bit of a «foodie» with a well trained palate and this chef makes my palate do backflips with joy! OVERALL: Whether you are from the area or out of town you need to try this place out. It’s a great downtown Chattanooga atmosphere with a high quality of food and drinks. It’s nice to have a place nearby that truly takes pride in their work and wants the customer to have an excellent dining experience.
