So the comments about hours… I agree. We went at 1PM on Sunday and they told us they decided to close early so sorry and have a nice day. Disappointed.

I really like eating at the fork and pie bar. There is really something for everyone. It’s a unique restaurant and it’s nice to see restaurants branching out from burgers and chicken. I really like the apple pie!

Went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were the only customers, which was weird to me because the food was so good! Had coffee, French toast and the egg scramble, and we will definitely come back the next time we’re in Chattanooga to try the pies for which fork and pie is famous.

This place is legit. You would think a pie couldn’t fill you up, but it does! And it’s good! Service is great and it’s a cool spot to hang out at! I recommend this place to anyone and I plan to go back when I am in town.

Tennessee Health Department Inspection — 70 out of 100 with many critical health violations. WRCB-TV’s Restaurant Report Card I won’t be eating there again and I will be telling those I know not to take chances with F&P. Such conditions for food preparation and service are completely unacceptable. I wasn’t impressed or satisfied the first and only time I ate there as it seemed the pot pies were glorified Banquet-style frozen food. With these hazardous health code violations I never be back. If management doesn’t care enough to not endanger customers with sanitation issues, why take a chance for mediocre food?

Saturday mornings are the best time to go– less crowded and easier access to free street parking. Today, I chose the daily quiche special, which was Bacon, Cheddar, and Onion. The onion was sautéed nicely as to not create a crunchy consistency. I appreciate that the crust was phyllo, rather than a pre-cooked shell. If you’ve read any of my other reviews, you know that sweet tea is a big deal for me. I am happy to report that Fork and Pie brewed it strong, dark, and just the right amount of sugar. It seems Southern sweet tea making is a dying art. I chose the mini Blueberry pie for dessert, with whipped cream, which was not out of a can or tub. Everything here is homemade daily. I plan to return soon.

I don’t really understand all the bad reviews, this place is fantastic. The shepherd’s pie, especially. Went here back in September, I think. If I remember correctly, I had macaroni and cheese with my pie and it lives up to the reviews. We came in when it was fairly empty. But, overall the food was good. Now, we just went back recently and things had improved greatly. The shepherd’s pie was delicious, with chunks of red potato on top, and rosemary inside. The macaroni was still good. I really love this place, and Chattanooga in general. I will definitely be going back!

Definetly a unique place to go since most everything is in pie form. The Tuscan chicken pie was fantastic and you really cant go wrong with a tiny apple pie! Must try atleast once!

Everything could’ve used more salt but who am I to judge? I hardly cook with salt either. bacon cheddar onion quiche was good, but nothing spectacular. You only get a slice for $ 9 and I think it’s a bit pricey considering you can go to La Madeleine and get a tastier quiche for less. Mashed potatoes were so cold by the time I finished my quiche and had so many herbs/cream that I thought I’d ordered a potato salad. The macaroni and cheese was baked, a bit too dry for me, and tasteless. The cheese didn’t trickle all the way to the bottom, which means sometimes I ate just the macaroni without cheese. It’s homemade though right? I needed a knife to cut the cheese because it’d hardened too much. Obviously cream cheese isn’t used, the best ingredient to make your Mac and cheese have a smoother, creamier texture. The blueberry pie was delicious. I just wished it’d been warmer(cold at the bottom), especially when served with ice cream!

I strolled in this little place with my father to much curiosity. In the beginning of hearing of this place, I thought mmmmm pie. Apple? Cherry? Peach? Sort of come to find out, after searching online for their menu I discovered this place doubles as a lunch/dinner spot. So back to present, we entered to dig in and sat at the bar, for The Fork and Pie is busy at lunch. Learned the specials and they have two size portions, so for lunch I went for the lunch portion… right? It sounded small but you get a side also, so I got the quiche o’ the day(bacon gouda) and baked Mac n cheese and my father ordered the chicken pot pie and dill mashed potatoes. Mine was great! Great flavor and flaky crust. The Mac n cheese was awesome, but my fathers pot pie was fantastic. The«gravy» was hearty and perfect ingredients, also the dill mashed potatoes were amazingly tasteful. I will be back with my wife and recommend this spot to everyone. Sadly we were too full to have dessert… and I do mean sadly. I will add when I do get to enjoy those gems.

Came here for a delicious, thousand-calorie meal. I had the Chicken Pot Pie with a side of «avocado salad»(an uninteresting way of saying guacamole– good try guys). Both were delicious and very filling. My friend ordered the BBQ and cornbread pie which was a little watery at the end, but otherwise flavorful. The macaroni and cheese was EXCELLENT. Fork & Pie Bar exemplifies Chattanooga’s transformation into a hipster town. But I didn’t hate.

Went for a friends bday and they ordered all full size pies. I have read bad reviews of the smaller pies. I come from a long line of pie makers so I wAs skeptical. but they were all very good! I loved the sheppards pie and the Mexican was also very good. Also had the spinach artichoke dip and hummus. Both were great! I will go back!

Let me preface this review by saying I was really looking forward to trying Fork & Pie Bar. As a Southerner, and lover of all things pie, I was thrilled at the prospect of enjoying a slice with a nice glass of wine. Our plan was to have dinner at Market Street, then dessert at Fork & Pie Bar. The opening & closing times listed state they’re open until«late night» on weekends. Apparently(on a Saturday night in January when downtown Chattanooga doesn’t have a lot of foot traffic due to the wintry weather) «late night» means 10 p.m. After dinner, we strolled down a few blocks to Pie Bar. Upon entering, we were told they were closed. Seriously? There were people sitting at the counter! Then the surly servers sitting behind the bar informed us we could get pie to go. Hmm…how about y’all get off your stools and heat up some dessert? Apologies to the staff for being impolite… but I’m still pissed that I couldn’t get a warm slice of pie! It had snowed that morning, so I have to imagine there hadn’t been a ton of business, however I couldn’t believe the staff wouldn’t show us a little Southern hospitality when we ventured out in the cold for the potential of warm, delicious pie. So word of advice, if you’re going to Fork & Pie Bar«late night» be prepared for this joint to be closed.

Came here for dinner and had a great experience. We started with the hummus and it was done very well and seasoned without being overpowering. My wife had the spinach and orzo which was hearty and well balanced. I had the special(Cuban) and while it was a bit dry the flavor was authentic. We finished the meal with a peppermint cheesecake. This was by far one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. We are planning on returning soon.

First off, this is NOT a good place for big groups, as our group of 8 found out quickly enough. Thankfully the staff were super helpful and apologetic. We were finally seated at a big enough table when it became available probably 20 – 25 mins later. Another thing that they need to work on is the ventilation in the place… we walked in to a cloud of smoke and reeked of the place after we were done with our meal. I got the chicken pot pie and mac & cheese b/c I am a sucker for both. The flavor of the pot pie was good, albeit a bit more herb-y than usual. The only thing we didn’t like about it was that it was very soupy and the pieces of chicken were huge. The crust was lovely though. The mac & cheese was like your g’ma’s yummy home-baked version so we all approved. We decided to get the mini pie sampler and got the chocolate, pecan, and lemon pies. By the time we got it our ice cream was half melted… but hey, I’m pretty sure it was Breyer’s ice cream, which is only THE best ice cream. But back to the subject at hand. The mini pies were yummy. My personal favorites were the lemon and chocolate. The pecan pie was good too, but I’m not a huge fan of pecan pie to begin with. They serve the smaller portion unless you ask specifically for the dinner portion. The smaller portion was surprisingly filling. The reason I gave it a 3 was b/c of aforementioned problems(waiting, ventilation, soupy pot pie, melted ice cream), BUT it wasn’t a bad experience and the food was still pretty good. It’s not a place I would be begging to go back to, but I wouldn’t mind going again if someone wanted to go.

One word for this place: yum. This is the ultimate in delicious comfort food for me. I always get the spinach orzo pie with fresh fruit on the side(I’m a creature of habit, what can I say). It’s the perfect amount of food for lunch, but the sweet pies are to die for if you’re feeling indulgent. Make sure to get the real whipped cream!

Fork and Pie Bar is fantastic! I can’t wait to go back again. I had a wonderful time and wonderful food. I had Shepard’s pie with macaroni and cheese. Both were good. Like another reviewer mentioned, you may have to salt your food yourself. I know it’s not the norm, but I like to salt my own food. I shared a mini lemon chess pie with my wife. It was delicious and I’m not a fan of lemon desserts. They have whole pies, personal pies, and mini pies. The mini pie is tiny about 2 inches.

sigh. I really, really, really want to love this place. It’s pretty much everything I love: cute pies and a bar. What more could I ask for? Oh, seasoned food. That’s what I could ask for. I rarely, if ever, use salt out in a restaurant. Boyfriend and I had to use so much salt for our tasteless pies it was sad. I went with the spinach & orzo pie which was described beautifully. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t measure up to the description. So sad. Boyfriend go the vegetable pot pie and… yep, you guessed it. Tasteless. Double sad. I did have a dessert pie: blueberry. So good. The best thing we ate that night. I’m sad but I haven’t given up on it yet. I think i’ll definitely go back to try something else. Everyone deserves a second chance… right?

I know there are always some squeaky wheels to oil when a restaurant first opens, but 2 months into their opening season and Fork & Pie appears to be at the near top of its game. Hubalove and I went for a weekday lunch and it was just delightful. Not overly crowded at noon but the tables were mostly full of professionals on lunch break. Let’s get at the pies, shall we? For savory, I thought the spinach orzo was original and tasty. Probably needed some more«glue» to keep the orzo packed in, but the flavors were nice. The dill potato side was first rate. No complaints from Hub on the shepherd’s pie and the avocado salad side. The sweet pies actually rendered me speechless. So eye-rollingly good. Chocolate chess. Do not even think of leaving without trying. Warm molten chocolate filling? Do not get it twisted. You want this. And the pecan pie was excellent, causing me to wonder what all those other pecan pies in life were that I had tried. The atmosphere was casual for lunch, just seat yourself, and that made it a pleasurable and leisurely lunch. The waitress that served us did seem exceedingly eager to clear our plates… like…the second we were looking as though we were finished with a dish. But more attention is better than less in this case I think. I just moved from Boston so I found the price points very reasonable for everything. I cannot wait to bring out of town guests to try this place. I need another excuse to stick a fork in it.

Just opened! You must give it a try. We just had dessert pies, but they were amazing. I had apple and my friend had chocolate chess. both were great.
