Came across the Rice Box when we went to the Asian Market. Best find ever! Derek was our waiter. Funny, friendly and very helpful. The salad with the ginger dressing was wonderful. Won ton and hot and sour soup was so good! The broth was a nice clear broth loaded with flavor. I had the three roll sushi lunch special and had some of the General Tso’s lunch. The sushi was amazing. Very fresh and firm fish and vegetables. The General Tso’s was perfect! Nice spice level and crispy without a ton of coating on it. Our one dissapointment was the Mongolian Beef wasn’t that good. Wasn’t what we look forward to in a Mongolian Beef. The prices were really reasonable. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area. Looking forward to making it a 5 star experience.

Had the Sushi & Sashimi lunch. Excellent service. Sashimi was fresh with tuna, salmon and snapper. With 6 pieces of sashimi, 1 spicy tuna roll and 4 pieces of sushi… this is was a big lunch for the price. Oh yeah, it also comes with your choice of soup and a small salad. I’m not a big salad fan, so they let me have 2 soups. Add a couple Asahi, and all was good.

This is a really great place to eat no matter what you are in the mood for. If you’re just looking to get some take-out and eat some hibachi on your couch, or if you’d rather dine in and try some fresh, well-made sushi rolls from the extensive menu: this place is always a win.

Always excellent service and attention to detail with custom orders. Food is amazing and the atmosphere is fun. I’m absolutely obsessed with the pink lady roll.

I went here to meet the in-laws for my birthday and was delighted with the service and selection. Very tranquil atmosphere and a huge menu, but surprisingly everything is done well. The sushi is much better than you’d guess from a strip mall, and the variety of fresh vegetables in the other dishes was impressive. Definitely the their green tea! The sushi options are broad, but they’ll also try to make something up for you. The hibachi options are wonderful, and you can sub in tofu for any meat. Thanks! The egg drop soup didn’t just taste like cornstarch, but like eggs… Imagine! The service is really nice and helpful, but not intrusive. The cost was about $ 8 – 10 per entrée, with each large roll at about $ 4. If you like Chinese or Japanese food, try them!

This is a wonderful place to eat. We’ve been known to eat there every day for a week straight. They have the best hot and sour soup I’ve ever had and their Mongolian Beef is also superb. Even their rice is good and I’m not really a rice fan.

My friend and I had lunch here the other day. I live in Cleveland and usually have sushi or Asian food at our Fulin’s. I have never been here but the inside was really nice. I liked the atmosphere and décor. They have a to-go area and were handing out orders quite often. We were seated immediately and our server was nice. I had the maki lunch: miso soup, salad, and I picked the spicy tuna and crunchy shrimp roll. I enjoy sushi but usually only ever get spicy tuna and spicy salmon. The soup was delicious. I don’t care for miso soup usually but this was very good. The server also brought us a bowl of wonton crisps to use(didn’t have to ask). I liked the miso soup much better than Fulin’s because their were lots of tofu chunks and the seaweed was smaller and easier to eat. It had great flavor. Salad was fine, nice portion. The dressing was different but good, just too much of it and was VERY cold. I enjoyed the spicy tuna roll as well, it was on par with what I usually get. I’ve never tried a crunchy shrimp roll and haven’t seen it elsewhere. It was great! Very large pieces and tons of crunch; my new favorite. The service was quick and did a fine job. I enjoyed my sushi and you can’t beat a great sushi lunch for under $ 10. I like that you can add a third roll for a couple bucks more. There is also more to choose from than Fulin’s maki lunch. I can’t comment on their non-sushi food like hibatchi but I’d love to go back if I’m ever in the area.

Food is spotty here. Order on premise, not from their website. They have dishes such as Sweet and Sour Chicken that are supposed to come with vegetables, but instead you get a plate of chicken nuggets with rice and a side cup of sweet and sour sauce. If you call to complain, they say vegetables never come with sweet and sour. Ignore their website entirely. The spring rolls that come with dinner have been fried in almost rancid oil. I personally would not trust their raw seafood/fish. The Mongolian Beef is good, but again, only served with green onions. This could be a really great restaurant, but that has yet to be seen.

Really enjoy the sushi. The food is always fresh! I like the Maki Lunch or Dinner deal. Get soup and salad and either 2 or 3 sushi rolls. I like for the California roll, shrimp tempora roll and the futa Maki roll. i hwy the wonton soup. A little salty but I like to think of it as flavor crystals. Service is always good, we like Shelly. She will usually add to your dining. Good or bad you ask? My answer is yes. One thing I’m sure of with Shelly is you will always get attentive service. We come back again and again for the fresh food, great atmosphere, and reasonable prices. The sushi is always great and I never feel like a get a“raw” deal.

Some of the best sushi. Their Maki dinner is great to get a taste of several rolls. Great food at a really good price. Service is also very good.

Pretty good! Had the sushi dinner and the California roll was easily in the top two of the best I’ve ever had. And I’ve had sushi everywhere from Tennessee to Charlotte and all over the place in my home state of South Carolina. Prices are reasonable and service was good as well. Large menu with your basic Chinese means as well as hibachi. Surely something for everyone in your dining party. I’m new to the area and still exploring to find good spots but sooner or later I’ll definitely be back here again.

My favorite Asian Fusion restaurant in Chattanooga! Sushi is world class there & the Sesame Chicken is a must try. It is small but never had any issues getting seated quickly.

Always excellent customer service. The sushi is amazing and the Thai infusions are our favorite. This is definitely my date night go to place. Quiet, quaint and romantic. A definite if you want some one on one time with your significant other. It is also good for families as well.

This place was my favorite for chinese. As of recently it has gone downhill. The food isn’t as good anymore, it’s just off. They must have hired new cooks. Service is pretty good and the prices are ok. Mediocre atmosphere. I miss the old Rice Boxx!!!

Ok, trust me, disregard the negative reviews, those people don’t have taste for this type of food… this place is my favorite restaurant. The food and service is amazing, really anything on the menu is good, I recommend habachi noodles, Orange chicken, honey chicken, any sushi roll that sounds appealing to you, and for sure the hot and sour soup. Everything is fresh, the fish is very fresh they get shipments right off the boat every day or 2, as the workers have told my family since we are very close and regular customers. If you’re reading this, just go and believe me, if you’re uncertain and don’t know what to get, order something I said above ^^^^

We ordered from here once. We weren’t expecting much and yet it still managed to let is down. The first warning should have been that it only took fifteen minutes for two full meals. My wife had steamed chicken and broccoli with a white Chinese and a spicy ginger sauce. Everything was steamed to the point of absolutely no taste. The sauces tasted very metallic. I had the Hunan beef. It tasted like they just coated out in red pepper sauce. Once again very bland. We also ordered the sweet and sour soup. Like everything else, it was pretty awful. We ended up not eating most of it and throwing it out(which we never do). That was $ 20 wasted. Oh well.

I’ve been to Rice Boxx twice now and I think this place is a pretty good Chinese restaurant. The menu includes Thai, sushi, and Japanese dishes, but Chinese is the ‘main attraction’. A lunch entrée includes soup(go for the wonton soup) and a spring roll or egg roll. I recently had the sesame chicken and the sauce actually tasted like sesame. It was served with fresh stir fried veggies and the rice was good(not too dry like many other Chinese joints). The yellow Thai curry deserves an honorable mention, though its not quite as ‘robust’ as other Thai curries I’ve had. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are friendly. The dining area is clean and musters much more ambience than one would expect in a Bi Lo shopping center. This place is fast, fresh, and reasonably priced.

First time at this restaurant. Enjoyed my Hibachi tofu dish. Friend wasn’t happy with the Pad Thai. It was bland and colorless.

First visit. It was nicely decorated. The front of the house was exceptionally clean. Waitress was friendly and knew the menu. We ordered the Mongolian beef and the sweet and sour chicken. Both came with pork egg roll(or spring roll) and rice(steamed, brown, or fried). The wait for food was medium. Food was presented attractively on large plates. The egg rolls were flavorful but not greasy. They were served with packaged hot mustard and plum sauce. The Mongolian beef was mildly spicy and very tasty. The beef was a little cooler than the veggies. The sweet and sour chicken was firm lightly battered white meat chicken with a bowl of S&S sauce. Chicken was slightly greasy but good. I will go back for another visit. The sushi at the next table looked very good.
