Place is over rated, then again I was visiting from New York. For a small town like Chattanooga probably a great option. The selection of meat was limited. Place is very nice and service was good. All in all a good Rodizio place.

I wonder if one of the compelling reasons for choosing Brazil as the site for the 2016 Summer Olympics is based on someone’s experience of eating an apparent endless assortment of skewered meat. If so, the games should be very exciting; I know that eating at Rodizio’s was for me. Granted, I’m easily entertained and a dedicated carnivore, but I’m on board for this type of evening. Prior to this visit, I’ve had«Eating at a Brazilian Steakhouse» on my bucket list for many years. Tonight I checked that one off, but plan to keep it visible for my next visit here. The other reviews are pretty clear about the process. I’ll try to just fill in a few possible gaps. First, there are only two price choices; $ 23 for just the hot bar and salad bar, or $ 35 for the whole Brazilian experience. Although the salad/hot bar is really full of great and unique foods, but don’t bother trying to save $ 12 for the sake of economy. The skewered meat is the star of the show. You can go for lunch for the $ 23 price, and get meats, but from what I’m told the choices of meats and salad bar items are paired down. On the«salad bar» this night; fish ceviche, hard boiled quail eggs, gourmet potato salad, kale salad, crab salad, lemony cous cous mix, toasted coconut slaw, gourmet chicken salad, cubes of smoked gouda and aged cheddar cheeses… to name a few items. The«hot bar» had gourmet mac and cheese, smoked Brazilian beef brisket, Brazilian black beans and pork, A fish stew, red skin mashed potatoes, breaded yucca root, rice, and few other items I can’t remember. As you can see; the«salad bar» is far from what is typically imagined. Everything is clearly prepared under the supervision of an actual chef with unique recipes. And then comes the meat. Oh, the meat. Tonight’s skewers included; Chef’s center cut beef, a tri-tip roast, ribeye, a unique top sirloin cut with a roasted fat cap(incredible flavor!), glazed ham, cilantro and garlic shrimp, lamb, BBQ chicken, BBQ pork ribs, a tilapia-like fish, chicken hearts(worth trying… pretty darn yummy), a very garlic beef, a parmesan crusted pork wrapped in bacon, and sweet and spicy chicken. All of the meat appears to be roasted on the skewers and although I didn’t really care for a few of the choices, it was a personal thing and not a reflection of the food quality or taste. The beauty of the system is that you don’t get a large portion of anything at one time, so you don’t waste much if you don’t care for it. Just wait a few minutes for them to come back around with your preferred cuts and keep eating until you’re full. Truly American gluttony disguised as an international experience; I loved it. Although little room remained, our party of 4 split two desserts. The first was the Rabanada. This is bread filled with a creamy goodness, flash fried and rolled in cinnamon and sugar, then covered with a sweet syrup and accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The second was torte brigadeiro; a flourless chocolate cake also accompanied by vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and the proverbial cherry on top. Yes, they are as decadent and wonderful as they sound. I finished the evening with a small French Press of coffee, delivered and pressed at the table and left for me to pour at my leisure. It was the best restaurant coffee I’ve had in many years. Mayleen, our table attendant was awesome. Genuinely friendly, very attentive, and worked to ensure our entire evening adventure was to our satisfaction. Without alcohol and adding the tip, our bill was just over $ 210 for a party of 4. A bargain for the quality and selection of food as well as the experience. Don’t bother coming To Rodizio if you are in a hurry or aren’t feeling hungry– you will set yourself up for a disappointing evening at a wonderful eatery that is meant to be savored with time. We’ll be back!

I remember seeing the steakhouse when it first opened up. I had only ever been to one about a decade ago in Knoxville. I was itching to try it again! I also wanted to take my girlfriend out, plus she lived in Brazil for a number of years, so I was excited at the chance to give her a walk down memory lane as far as food wise and see how it compared to the real thing. I’m a college student at UTC, money isn’t easy to come by, so this was definitely a special treat. It was well worth every single penny. The staff were very courteous and informative; answering any questions we had and giving appropriate descriptions of the items. The cuts were appropriately cooked, and we were given more than one slice upon request. If we requested another meat, they would send that person back around within a couple of minutes.(My favorite cut was probably the top-sirloin! Though it’s hard to choose just one! Also, I cannot stand pineapple, mainly for texture reasons, but I had at least four cuts of the pineapple. Superbly cooked and glazed!) The cuts were nearly identical to an authentic Brazilian steakhouse. My girlfriend mentioned how it was a trip down memory lane with the meat cuts, the cheese bread, fried bananas, and the(Guarana? lol) soda she had. She was excited to see the options on the menu and presented to us with the meal! I had an absolute blast coming here, and I know she did too. Thank you for such wonderful staff and service(I wish I could remember names! There was a trainee and she did a great job taking care of us!), a great ambiance, and superbly authentic food. Chances are, we will be back soon enough! P. S. — I know it may not be possible/a stretch, but if their were anyway to offer even a small type of discount to students, that would go a very long way for many people. Thank you again!

This was our second time dining here and it was just as great as before. Not only is the food amazing and unlimited but the staff is friendly and not that over the top, on your nerves kind. They seem to enjoy their jobs which makes the experience even better. My husband can’t get enough of the spicy sweet chicken!

This place is awesome! What an awesome combination of succulent meats and delicious sides. Bonus for us was the Sunday brunch bar. Best dining experience we have had in Chattanooga in a long time. AND we lucked up and got a parking spot right in front of the place. I highly recommend this awesome experience. Well worth the price. Eat as much of the wide variety of rotisserie roasted meats and exquisite sides as you wish for one price.

I wasn’t sure what to expect… the reviews were mixed, but I have to say this was pretty darn good. Very pleasant service, plenty and I mean plenty of food, and good choices. It’s not Fogo de Chao in Atlanta, but it’s close enough. The cold bar is as nice, and there’s a hot bar, too. The garlic steak was my favorite. Grilled pineapple was good, and the plantains were excellent. I’ll be going back. Very good price for what you get.

Took my parents and met my husband for lunch on 04⁄21. This review is for wheelchair-bound person restaurant review and food: We had made reservations due to the fact that my mother is in a wheelchair, and we wanted to make sure we weren’t out in the middle where people had to go walk by and hit the wheels(It’s the same as if someone was hitting your shoulder every time you try and take a bite!). The table was where a round building support was, so they had pushed it close to the next table. This meant my husband had to get up to let me out every time I wanted to get up, which including taking mom separately to get her plate, her tripS to the ladies’ room, and then I get my plates… it was 8+ times we had this production. Crazy thing is, the table behind us could have been moved closer to the front of the restaurant as to not squeeze us in. We would have done it ourselves had there not been people that got there before us. But the food was great, there are 2 ordering choices. Mom and I got the salad bar and the men got the full meat and salad bar. Value for what you’re getting is exceptional! I think having a totally disabled person might not be the norm, understandably, yet maybe the staff could help hold doors. Husband had left to go back to work and Dad was getting the car(the Valet was full for the restaurant), and I couldn’t get mom out the front door because it is glass. I had been pushing the feet rests into the bottom kickplate of the ladies’ room, but was afraid since the front door is glass. The hostess and another employee was standing there, but knew they hadn’t thought about it because I was getting the«thank you, byes» and after asking to hold the door it was, «oh, sure!». Super nice people and I know when you’re not used to a disabled person this seems trivial but when you’re pushing 135 pounds, making sure their feet don’t fall off the rests and you run them under the wheelchair, you’re not hitting any chairs, people, etc. with the wheels, get it over the threshold without the door smacking her elbows… It REALLY does help when people assist with doors!

I was contacted by Front of House manager Fernando Elias who has offered me a complimentary meal at Rodizio’s due to not having Ribeye on my previous visits. This is a prime example of above and beyond customer service I’ll likely be going this evening to dine(if they are having Ribeye) and will update with my review with my opinion of it, when I get home. Arrived at 6:30 for dinner and was seated immediately. Fernando and the rest of the staff at Rodizio’s did an absolutely spectacular job at making me and my family, feel welcome and appreciated. I discovered that Rib-eye is a daily offering on the menu now. All I can say about the Rib-eye is that it is unquestionably some of best steak I’ve ever eaten in my life. Tender, juicy, flavorful and delicious. My evening out was one of the most enjoyable evenings I’ve had in a very long time. My fiancé and children went along with me. My fiancé raved about their coleslaw and proceeded to eat 3 servings of it(which is mind boggling to me since she rarely eats more then 1 serving of anything). The mashed potatoes and stroganoff from the side-bar were very good. Both children LOVED the Rib-eye along with the other offerings. As usual, we ordered dessert and it was amazing. I can honestly say, the best night out for dinner I’ve had since arriving in Chattanooga. I can’t hit the like button enough on Rodizio’s tonight, they knocked it out of the park.

The atmosphere and service were awesome. And the food was really delicious. They are known for the meats as a Brazilian Grill. There are many varieties brought to your table for selection. For those who are not big meat eaters there is a large selection of salad and non meat choices. Everyone, from waiters to gouchos were super. Dennis our waiter was very friendly.. We will definitely return to Rodizio’s.

Feast like King!!! Upscale buffet. Sit down order drink hit the buffet as much as you want unlimited trips and choose from ton of gourmet salads, cheeses, dove eggs, chicken salads, peppers, humus, and so much more. DON’T MISS the HOTBAR. Sit down at your seat flip your puck to green and Gauchos come over cut strips delicious meat, sea food, and awesome pineapple soaked in brown sugar. Push it to red they leave you alone. When your ready for desert put puck on side then offer you desert or your check if your ready to cash out. Place has nice atmosphere and was exceptionally clean and the staff was friendly. Lunch is cheaper, we went for dinner it was around $ 34 dollars a person.

This place is awesome! The selections were out of this world. We went for lunch on Valentines Day. We did make a reservation and would recommend anyone going also do that. We were seated quickly. Salad bar was awesome! Great selections. Could have easily stopped there! But the meat choices! Wow! The servers were awesome. Explained what the cuts were and how they were prepared. Offered tips on which meats to add a bit of grilled pineapple to to enhance the flavor. Lunch was reasonable but still a little pricey. But we will make this place a monthly visit as it was just that good! Highly recommend!

I am surprised that people actually think this place is expensive! To the contrary! When you take into consideration the variety and quality of the salad and hot bars, plus all the meat you care to eat, $ 35 is a bargain. Note: if you are a vegetarian, do not be afraid to dine here. There is plenty for you and I believe the tab is $ 10 less if you opt not to have meat. Nice that there’s a choice. But I am a carnivore and the meats did not disappoint. All(except the chicken which was dry and overly salted) the meats were piping hot, moist and delicious. My personal favorite was the lamb. I like having small bites that are fresh off the grill to savor. And I don’t believe you are ever«cut off», so again, I don’t get the complaints about«small portions». We were ecstatic that we could leave a concert at the Tivoli and enjoy dinner after 10 pm. It’s hard to find a place in Chattanooga aside from bar-type establishments that serve that late. Service was excellent — well, the dining room was only ½ full at that hour — but no one was rushing us out the door. Since we were dining late, we didn’t partake of dessert. Next time. I would guess dining at Rodizio other than at prime time is probably smart. Dinner for two for us, with a glass of wine(a decent pour, by the way) and a beer, was $ 90 + tip. We felt well serviced and well fed! This will be a favorite for us, I’m sure. Also refreshing … seeing ownership care about the folks who were dissatisfied. I hope Rodizio is around for a long time.

We were in Chattanooga for my sisters cheer competition this past weekend and before heading to the convention center we decided to stop for lunch – competition food just doesn’t cut it. So we were driving down Broad Street looking up and down and we came across a parking spot right up the street from Rodizio. Got out of the car and our nose were hit with the smell of yummy-ness! We walked in and when were were asked if we had a reservation we knew we were in for a treat. Almost thought of walking out cause we didn’t think it was something for us but decided to stick it out. Thank god we did! We only had about a 20 minute wait which gave us a chance to look over the menu. The atmosphere was awesome! Our waitstaff was great as well! Neither of us had been to a Brazilian steakhouse so the concept was so cool! The hot and cold bar was something serious! Luckily, we went during Bacon Fest which was a plus! EVERYTHING was SOOGOOD! We also decided to be adventurous – we tried a quail egg and chicken heart. neither of which we will EVER eat again, but they were pretty good given what it was! :) There really was nothing bad on either of the bars! The meats were so tender. everything was so great! Desserts were to die for! We both decided that this was a place we would drive the hour and a half for! So good! can’t wait to go back!

The only other Brazilian Steakhouse I’ve eaten at was Churascaria Plataforma in Manhattan, so the bar was high. Rodizio Grill met that standard, and in ways exceeded it. The side dishes were more plentiful and better tasting than in Manhattan. Service was really good and the meats tasted wonderful. Two observations: all the meats were a little on the rare side and there should be more seafood offerings(at least some jumbo shrimp and scallops). I went in with high hopes and left completely satisfied in every way.

For years I have dreamed of having a Brazilian steak house this close to home. Rodizio Grill does not disappoint. The obvious: Skewers of delicious meat in every variety roaming the floor and settling on your plate. Over. And over. And over. DONOT pass on the pineapple. I am pretty sure we ate more pineapple than anything else. It seems like something not meat, then you try it, then you can’t get enough. Also, don’t skip the little cheesy biscuit things. So noms. I recommend you hit the buffet first, get a small sample of everything. There was not a single thing from the buffet I regretted. Once you return to your seat, work through your buffet sampler as your plate is awash in glorious meat. I have seen some reviews say they waited between skewers, we had the opposite«problem» in that being so rapidly bombarded with a new meat was almost overwhelming. Fortunately, the red block can make it stop when you need a break. *SPOILERALERT* After you have stuffed your gob with a wide array of meats and pineapple, there is a dessert selection to die for. Literally, if you have eaten all of this meat and the dessert, you may die. Worth it. A little pricey for every day, but for sure will return here in the near future and beyond. Also, an excellent selection for low carb(obviously) eaters and gluten free diners.

Having never been to another Brazilian style steakhouse, I can only give my opinion on Rodizio’s. I made reservations for 4, myself, fiancé and 2 children. The city of Chattanooga being the money starved county they are took us for 6 dollars for parking. Having never been to this style of restaurant before I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving(we had arrived early). Our server was attentive, and met all our needs. The full service is 34.99 for adults and 12.99 for each child. These prices do not include drinks or desserts. Drinks were 3.50 each with unlimited refills on Coke and iced tea. They had an extensive«salad bar» which has a variety of different items including salad, Brazilian Stroganoff, among others. They had a variety of meats. Two different types of sirloin(both were tasty), Asian catfish(also tasty, I try to avoid Asian fish due to the way they are kept but one bite won’t kill you), a sweet and spicy chicken(which to me tasted like buffalo chicken, still not bad), chicken hearts(which I’d never eaten but were good, even my daughter ate one and liked it), pineapple(which was succulent and juicy and spectacular), and lamb(tasty). I didn’t see any cuts of rib-eye or filet(which are my normal cuts I order, had they been there I would have given a 5 star review). There may have been some cuts of meat we missed. I ordered the Raspberry Cheesecake for dessert(way to much raspberry sauce but still good), my fiancé ordered the Rabanda(which she absolutely loved), and the girls had the Totra Brigadeiro(which they enjoyed). The final bill was 141.40 and after tip 169.40. Overall, the experience was very good. It is pricey, and I’m not a fan of Sirloin, but I do have to say that it was very flavorful and tender. My fiancé loved that they had a variety of different temps of meat(well-done, medium rare etc, she eats it well done i.e. shoe leather-though I admit even the well done was tender, and I eat it medium rare i.e. the only temp meat should be eaten ;-). The kids didn’t complain once(the mark of a true A+ establishment for me) If you aren’t hungry and are only going to eat a few bites, I would find it difficult to justify the price. If you are hungry and don’t like traditional palaces of overeating like Golden Corral, this is the place to go. Yes, Golden Corral is 10 – 12 bucks for all you can eat, but you get what you pay for and the atmosphere that goes with it. I won’t be making Rodizio my daily treat, but, it will be going into my monthly dining plan.

Great food, great service! The meats just kept coming to the table… The portions were very generous and the servers more often than not asked if we wanted extra. The salad bar was top notch with an outstanding variety of both hot and cold dishes. Our ONLY con was the desserts were definitely pre-boxed… Not made on the premises. The chocolate dessert I had was nearly frozen solid and the whipped cream definitely came from a can. Despite the very lacking desserts, we will definitely come back again. Final note, they did give us a military discount when asked… Awesome!

When we got the pineapple the server told us about it. He told us that it is basically water. He also said that it cleanses the throat. I got a chicken heart. The I asked the guy if the chickens are free range and he hesitated and said«Yeah?» They also bring 4 rounds of beef tender then if you ask for another meat they only bring you that meat and beef tender. You just have to be patient and have a bag to put the fat scraps in.

I ate at Rodizio’s restaurant downtown tonight. DON’T BOTHER! It was so bad that words cannot adequately describe. First, we had an unexpected guest join us and that upped our reservations from 10 to 11. Not a big deal, huh? WRONG! You would have thought that we had asked to add another dozen to our party. I didn’t realize that one additional person could upset the entire dining room so badly. One of the wait staff, Marc, was just rattled by the additional person. Secondly, the tables wobbled and slid out from underneath you with just the slightest body movement. Really? In a brand new restaurant? Third, our waitress’ name was Merry. Let me assure you with all conviction in my being… Merry she was not! Next, it is not a steakhouse. It is an expensive salad bar with just a few nibbles of steak. They come by and slice the meat at your table. Can anyone say chintzy? If my guests and I had a total of 6 ounces of steak between us, it would be a stretch. Next, I’m not really fond of wait staff carrying my meat choices around the entire dining room offering it to other people and exposing it to unknown germs, bacteria, etc. before offering it to me. Next, the small amount of steak I had was tough, the bacon wrapped pork loin tasted like a hot dog wrapped in bacon, and the parmesan-crusted chicken lacked any iota of parmesan taste. Lastly, the waitress(Merry) seemed annoyed that I requested the check so that we could leave… after 2 hours! Heed my words or not. You be the judge. However, I suggest that you take the $ 34.99 you spend on the«salad plus 3 or 4 bites of steak» at Rodizio’s and go to St. John’s. The quality of service and food there outshines any other restaurant in town. Definitely not worth a return or a recommendation!

The drinks were great, and our waitress was a delight, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The salad bar was very nice, and the food was good for dinner, but I have to say that the portion sizes were tiny. After two hours of gaucho’s coming around, my dinner companion and myself were still hungry. We had the opportunity to sample lots of different meats, but never needed to put the«red side» of our service indicator up, because we were only given a bite or at the most two bites of food at each sampling which was extremely frustrating. I’ve eaten at Fogo De Chao in Georgia, and not only did it have the positives I mentioned above, but we also were well fed, and needed to use the red and green sides of our service indicators often. Also would appreciate the filet mignon, and the huge beef ribs similar to Fogo De Chao. All in all a good experience, but could be better. Unless I read about changes to the portion sizes, I’ll chalk this up to a nice try, but not worthy of a return. ”

We came on a Monday night and we were seated quickly. It was our first experience at a Brazilian steakhouse, but we welcomed having a new restaurant to try for variety. The salad bar was excellent and we could definitely take care of our lunch or dinner needs there if we wanted. We also thought there were plenty of great options for the kids if we wanted to bring them. The service was attentive and friendly, and seemed very motivated. The food was delicious! One of Chatt’s food scene needs has finally been met. Brazilian BBQ place. While not the best one I’ve ever been too, for Chattanooga is grand! If you don’t know, the concept is meat, meat, meat. The gauchos come around the tables with spears of meat that have been grilling on a rotisserie spit/oven. Meat selections vary but usually a few types of beef, chicken, sausage, etc. Then they have a big salad bar and a hot bar(potatoes, rice, etc). Each table is given a wooden peg, one end is green, the other red. When the green side is placed up they meat keep on a coming! When you need a break, maybe feeling the meat sweats coming, flip it over to the red side and they won’t bother you with the meat for a while. I’ve been to several types of Brazilian BBQ places, from very fancy to mom n pop type. Have experienced them for over 20 years. Chattanooga needed something a bit different and here it is. They still need to work out some kinks, like timing. At one point we had 3 gaucho(meat guys) hovering over us and then when we were wanting some meat, no one to be found. We went for lunch, which offers a great price of less than $ 20 pp(remember this is all you can eat and it’s not Golden Corral). Was so full, didn’t want dinner. Try it out. It’s pretty tasty.

If you’ve eaten at Fogo De Chao, you have an idea of what this place is like. The food was good overall. The salad bar was outstanding. The meats were quite tasty(though sadly, they lacked the filet mignon that Fogo De Chao offers). But, the meats they do offer are hot and sliced right at your table, onto your plate. Be sure to try the Picanha. It’s the prime part of the Top Sirloin. Very good. NEGATIVES: The wait was fairly long — even though we had reservations. Also, the service was a bit slow, but that could have been because we went on the first weekend, and perhaps they didn’t have their sea legs under them yet. Overall, it was a nice(and filling) experience. I’m sure you’ll enjoy yourself. $ 20 lunch $ 35 dinner.

The food is good(I have been several Brazilian steakhouses). The problem is waiting for the food to come around. I am spending more time staring at my empty plate than eating. You are coming here to satisfy your steak craving? Well, 1 hour will not do it. It also seems more chicken, sausages and pork are coming around than steaks. For the one hour I had during lunch, I had about 4 steak rounds. Lunch is very limited choices of type of meats. The salad bar have many more items than the one in Knoxville but I didn’t come here to eat salad while waiting for the meat to come around. Disappointed but I hope they will remedy that. Maybe it’s their strategy to keep cost down? Back to the Knoxville Brazilian steak house…

I went here with my husband and another couple on opening night. We had reservations for 7:45, and were told it would be a 30 minute wait. My husband said«even with a reservation?» and the hostess apologized saying they had lots of walk ins and that people were spending longer than the allotted time, so to the bar we went, and man am I glad we did! There were lots of people at the bar but nevertheless we were attended to promptly. A lady next to me recommended trying one of their specialty cocktails, which the name I can’t remember, but it was some type of mix between a margarita and a mojito, and it was amazing! But, as soon as we had our drinks, they were calling for our party, so we didn’t wait long after all! We got to our table and our server told us the way everything works, so we all headed to the salad bar/hot bar. The salad bar is pretty extensive, and I tried to get a little of everything. There is also a hot bar with sides such as a pasta dish, mashed potatoes, beef stroganoff etc. I tried a little of everything here too. While every side I tried was good, none of it wowed me. Definitely still good though. But then came the meat. And Oh. My. Gosh! I tried everything that came by, and everyone at the table loved everything! It was DELICIOUS. In fact, the meat was so good, that I never went back to the salad/hot bar for seconds. I had never been to a Brazilian steakhouse before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but you start off with a little slice of each meat. If you want more you definitely can have it, but I was pleasantly surprised by this, as it left room for me to try everything. I will say most items didn’t come by more than once while we had our green side turned up, but if there is something in particular you want, you can ask for it. The pineapple was also amazing. Overall our experience was great. Our server and the meat servers(I’m sure they have a more professional name) were also great. I will definitely return! Tip: If street parking isn’t available, and the lot right next to the restaurant is full, there is another pay lot on the same side of the street as the first pay lot, literally two buildings over. It’s kind of hidden, but it’s still pretty close to the restaurant.

This review is based on opening night so it will focus mainly on the quality of the food and not the service which still has a lot of kinks to work out. But at least the lead gaucho, Gracy(one of the few guys that seemed comfortable wielding that big knife), wanted our feedback to make improvements. The meats are comparable to the other big names with some unique selections. The salad bar is good with plenty of choices but it’s not as exhaustive as you would find at the other chains BUT that is where the value comes in, the price is $ 15-$ 25 less. Its just nice to have a Brazilian steakhouse in Chattanooga and even better that it’s affordable. Bön appetite!
