I see reviews of «not the best food.» «Friend was drunk, so they wouldn’t let them in.» «There’s a cover charge.» Other than South Side Social full of drunk college kids, where else can you go to a decent bar and not have to worry about a fight breaking out? Well if you go to the hipster bars, you’ll just have to listen about Bernie Sanders and how the pollution of endangered sand/water iguanas could contribute to $ 15 an hour minimum wage. Just my opinion.

First of all, how dare they kick anyone with Richard R. out? That aside, this was a fun place. I did not go up and sing even though I wanted to. I don’t think I would have stood out as being too bad since there weren’t many good singers all night. This is a good little concept. Not a chain. Owned by a local woman. They have a little stage and you sing karaōke. They have many three-ring notebooks with a sampling of the songs they have. They actually have songs other than these. Karaōke is just fun. There was a gong on the stage that I would have loved to hit. The food we had was not good. And everything was cold. They had one server taking care of two tables with 10 people at each table. She tried hard, but that’s tough to do. A place to go with a lot of people and have some fun. Not a place to have dinner.

Very poor management and bitchy employees. I only Thursday nights to sing since it’s dollar beer night, but the employees sing too much. Now the kitchen staff even sing. It wastes time that the customers could be singing. Stop wasting our time and singing 3 employees in a row and let us sing. Employees should only sing when there isn’t a wait for the rest of us. This is why we don’t come Friday or Saturday night. You will wait 2+ hours to sing if you get there after 9, unless of course, you bribe the DJ. We would actually come more often if we could sing more often. Did you ever think about that? No. They think if they waste time by singing their employees that we will drink more and wait longer to sing. What a GREAT business plan. Why not give more entertainment to your customers so you get repeat customers instead of the opposite? I was told Michelob Ultra’s were $ 1 on Domestic dollar beer night(which they aren’t), and was threatened to pay the full tab or they would call the cops when I said I wasn’t going to pay. They fill up over their max capacity and then yell at people to move out of the(one and only) walkway. There is literally no where else for them to move to, but the poor management keeps on complaining about their own wrongdoings. Literally, the best thing about this place is the $ 1 beer.

Good times, good entertainment(even if it’s bad it’s fun) and the food and cocktails are affordable.

Apparently they will not allow you in to this karioke bar if you are tipsy. I personally dont know anyone who has done karioke sober. My friends and I were not let in because the bouncer said we were too drunk. I thought he was joking. We had had a few drinks and dinner, and were barely tipsy. He said it was because two of my friends were walking with linked arms. I understand not letting wasted people in, but that was a little bit ridiculous. We were probably more sober than anyone inside, and not the type of people they need to worry about disturbing the place. There are much better places in town to do karioke, and we will not return here in the future. The service has always been poor anyway.

Fried pickles and atmosphere! A small, but hopping little bar with a surprise… drunks, wings and singing! I think I had a blast, but I would be lying if I said I remembered. People watching gets an A++

We came here after leaving a distillery in Chattanooga. Needless to say I was pumped full of whiskey and in need of sobering up. Immediately after hopping out of Über I knew I was going to order some chicken wings! Aso soon as we pulled up the locals, or at least I’m assuming, were so welcoming. My friends even whooped it up a few newly found college alum. The atmosphere was live and there was music for everyone. It’s always fun watching people make a fool of themselves on stage, but in some places there are more wallflowers than folks willing to make that trip to the stage. The exact opposite was true here. The menu was packed full of great offerings. Once I found the chicken wings I was stoked, until I saw that in order to get the flavor I wanted I had to choose some spicy /mild grilled wings. Which normally isn’t a problem, but I just wasn’t in the mood. Well let me tell you, when the wings came out my disappointment vanished quickly! The wings were HUGE, crispy & flavorful and totally worth it. Usually when you have wings, not many people pay great attention to the fries, so they’ll just throw any old fries on the plate. But even my FRIES were yummy! We ended up going outside on the patio to chow down, but it started raining, so we came back in. But I didn’t notice until it rained more heavily. The wings had my full attention. There was so much, we had to save half our wings. Turns out the wings ended up being the best thing we had in Chattanooga that weekend. And aside from some misguided BBQ, we had a lot of great food. We came for the atmosphere and stayed for the food!

It was a lot of fun til we got kicked out!!! — — — - THESCENE Chattanooga, TN(February 2015) — It was my fault for thinking we could hang out with people much younger than ourselves. You see, my best buddy got married this weekend and all but disappeared after the wedding ceremony was over for some newlywed sexy time. #bowchickawowwow! Well, although my wife and I were also in honeymoon mode(we didn’t have the kids), we wanted to enjoy something we don’t normally get a chance to do back home — a night out on the town. So when my buddy’s 25 year old daughter and her bestie invited us to hang out with them after the wedding, we said H E L L Z N A W ! But they begged, pleaded and insisted, so we gave in against our better judgment. Nothing wrong with 25 year olds mind you, but being that her father is my bestie, I’ve heard the stories that come with a night out with this drinking duo. — — — - THEEXPERIENCE We used the Über cab system since we weren’t sure how much alcohol we’d be drinking and honestly, I get pretty torn up over one or two pina coladas. Our first stop of the evening was Clyde’s. I was perfectly content there, but these 20 something party folks weren’t satisfied, so we Ubered over to RAW. It was about 10:30 pm and the party hadn’t quite gotten started there, so we had a few drinks and skipped across the street to Sing it or Wing it. Already well lubed from the wedding bar and RAW, some of the members of our party were in the early stages of full drunken stupidness. Arguing with each other, bathroom yelling matches over who’s being more stupid, and molesting male karaōke singers while they were still on stage were just some of the highlights of our evening. Did I mention one of the girls with us did all this flirting in front of her husband? Add to that the dude sitting at our table whom became our«instant friend» and insisted on photo bombing every pic I tried to take and you will start to get a sense of our evening. Actually, as uninteresting as it all sounds, I thought it was a pretty hilarious night. Then again, I’m easily entertained. Sure we felt somewhat responsible for seeing to it they didn’t hurt themselves, but other than that it was an enjoyable evening. That is, until the manager @ Sing it or Wing it came to our table and asked our party girl to leave. I personally didn’t think she was acting all that bad. I don’t get out much but I figured it was typical behavior for the tavern folk. Then again, she wouldn’t stay in her seat, staggered and stumbled a lot and did have the appearance of being ready to yak any minute. — — — - FINALTHOUGHTS I am not entirely sure if kicking her out of the bar was a responsible move by the manager, but nevertheless it happened. Although our party girl was the only one asked to leave, I was grateful to be honest. We are usually in bed by 10:30pm, so I was pretty stoked to get back to our room. We had fun(even though we only shared two drinks), but I’m in my mid 40’s and too old for this mess! I will most certainly avoid any nights out with 20-somethings ever again! LOL

«Karaōke divides humanity into two groups: those who don’t want to sing and shouldn’t be compelled, and those who do and shouldn’t be allowed.» – Dennis Vickers I am in the first group, but like watching the second. Watching someone singing Karaōke brings about the same feelings as driving past a car accident, you just can’t look away. Imagine accident upon accident lined up for your rubber necking pleasure, with most of the singers KUI(Karaōke-ing Under the Influence), this place is a lot of fun. I will admit to enjoying watching people realize that they really don’t know the lyrics to their favorite songs, and that their voices can’t go that high, or low. The crowd here seemed to spend most of its energy on nineties rock and some country songs that everyone but me seemed to know. Sing it or Wing it has a dive bar feel, but outfitted with a makeshift glam stage to feature the liquid courage karaōke crowd. We snagged a table right up front and laid claim to it for the evening. There was about an hour wait to sing. Sound was surprisingly poor. Service was excellent, drinks priced fairly. If you are in Chattanooga for an evening, this is a great spot to hang out and people watch.

Great place to go with a bunch of friends to have fun. I went with about 7 to 10 people and we had so much fun, I have been trying to get them to go back for a night out. You can sit outside or there are plenty of big tables inside. I think only one of us went up front to sign and it definitely wasn’t me.

I looooove a karaōke joint. I love pretending to be a rock star. Here’s how it goes. Get some liquid courage. I was already full of courage before I even got there. Sign up. Tip KJ to ensure you get to sing. Sing. Repeat. It was fun, but of course, I don’t remember a lot about it because of that aforementioned liquid courage. I’m pretty sure I rocked though!

Sing It Or Wing It is what it is. It’s a karaōke joint that has good drinks and good food to snack on while you’re being serenaded by people who want to be the next American Idol. You will be around drunk people. You will possibly become one of the drunk people. The song selection has way too many songs to choose from. Most of them are country ballads but what are you going to do, this is Tennessee. If there was one complaint I’d have it would be that when you are performing you can’t hear yourself singing. You can hear the music, but the way they either have the mics or the speakers, you can’t hear yourself. But other than that I had a fun time celebrating with my friends.

We had fun here simply because we have fun in basically any karaōke joint(hello, we’re superstars, haventcha heard?) but, to be honest, Sing it or Wing it is winging it pretty hard. Aside from the amazingly low prices on booze(what a pleasant surprise on a night out, right?), everything else was sub-par. The mike swallows up any attempt at diction and phrasing you may be trying to do and the speakers are cranked up ridiculously high. So, you’re just listening to a lot of «aaaallllaaaa and oooohhhlooooo» the entire night. And since there is not a lot of vetted talent up in Chattanooga, you’re in for one howl of a night. Literally. The chairs on most tables are obnoxiously high and uncomfortable. The folders aren’t kept up to date(i.e., a lot of last-minute additions of songs which aren’t inserted into the main pages – majorly annoying for any karaōke-head). Basically, this is your average karaōke joint, nothing more, nothing less. Which means, bring your crew, order up a bunch of booze and go to town.
