Destination Maternity

I have mixed ratings. I went here the day after Thanksgiving because I was trying to withstand not buying maternity clothes for a little longer, but the long shopping day took a toll on me and I needed some new jeans/​tops. I ended up buying a pair of the more expensive jeans and oh my are they comfy! The shirts are generic unless you spend the money on Rachel Zoe, BCBG etc. You can find some really cute designer items on the sale rack.
Now, the help… they are pushy. When I went the day after thanksgiving the girl who was helping me was wonderful, offering water, juice etc to me, my sister and mom.
I’ve been back 2 other times after that and it’s like night and day. An older women was there and very rude. Never offered any beverages and did not appear to really want to help. Now, everyone has bad days but ive seen her there twice and her demeanor has really not changed. I’m visibly pregnant and have spent quite a bit of money already there. I guess if you don’t mind the pushy rudeness and are looking for a good pair of jeans then this is your place.

I don’t wanna knock this store too hard, because it seems like the only game in town.
First, the good: There’s a decent selection, the store is clean and well-​lighted, and I particularly like the lotions and oils that they carry. The man-​ertainment area is a nice touch.
However, I was pretty uncomfortable shopping here. I felt descended-​upon by sales associates, and it got to be a little nerve-​wracking. The last time I went, I politely declined help over and over (and over) only to have the handful of jeans that I’d removed from the shelf taken out of my hands and placed in a dressing room. I was actually only trying to compare their washes – but it happened pretty fast.
Dude. I’m pregnant. I’m tired. I’m a little scattered. Back off.
This complaint isn’t store specific – but the denim quality of Destination Maternity’s designer jeans is pretty bad. They were in the $ 200 ballpark, but the denim looked like it should have been on a clearance rack at the outlet mall – odd royal blue vertical lines, weird washes, etc. I eventually got a pair of Paige boot cut jeans (that the store didn’t carry) elsewhere.

Ok, this was a great find! This store is located right next to where the Walden Galleria in a very unassuming little strip mall.
Its a combination of Motherhood Maternity and their higher end line Pea in the Pod. It also features a large area full of books, cremes, diaper bags, snacks etc. For the kids and hubbies there is a large area in the middle of the store with big screen tvs, comfortable seating and a full play area for kids.
The selection is great here and there are so many things on clearance. The staff was really really helpful and patient with finding sizes etc.
I was able to get really nice current styles at a total steal!
