Booze with a view Christy’s is a pleasant little booze store located right in the middle of town. Very convenient with plenty of parking and a decent selection. Nothing particular exotic and nothing that will probably surprise you but you can get most of the standard stuff you would expect in a store of this size. The folks working here are all friendly and talkative like you would expect in a local place like this. Most of their costumers are probably local people because I don’t suspect too many people go out of there way to make it to Burrillville or Pascoag. The prices aren’t bad and something interesting always seems to be on special. Even though the store is nothing to get excited about the area behind the store is pretty cool. This whole area once had a lot of mills and old dams, and foundations and remains can still be seen in you take the time to look. The river and space in back of the booze store is a interesting place to poke around and imagine what the town was like in centuries past. In the unlikely event that you happen to find yourself in Burrillville and suddenly get the desire to hail Bacchus, Christy’s is worth a stop. Then take the time to check out the cool dam and old foundations behind the store. Just make sure you don’t fall in, those rocks get really slippery.
