BUGS that bite you at night and leave marks!!! Hotel was ok overall, but they have BUGS on their beds!!! Big ALERT for families with kids! We were bitten all over our bodies!!! TERRIBLEITCH! Those are not bedbugs, we are not even sure what it was, but we have pictures and videos of them! Hotel management compensation was 1 day refund! Yeah right, thx a lot. Going to Urgent care right now!

Very clean! Great service from the lady at the front desk! Great value for the price and very close to the Casino. Will definitely come back.

Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay when you’re out in Cherokee to scratch that gambling itch! Less than 3 minutes from Harrah’s. Four stars, but not five because some of the floors still smell like cigarettes. I couldn’t tell if the hotel was smoking or non-smoking because the doors had a non-smoking sign on them, yet when you walk down the hallway, you get a strong whiff. Customer service is where it’s at. The chicks at the front deck were really friendly and helpful. Housekeepers were talkative. Fairly minimal interaction since I crawled in here in the dead of the night and checked out the day after. But smiles abound. Really good location as it’s located in a plaza-ish thingy. You get access to Red Lion(supermarket), gas station, and other small shops. I wouldn’t mind staying here the next time if the Harrah’s Hotel is completely booked up… I did want to see what their hotel was like, but this one will certainly be fine. Reasonable price too! dmo out.

Not bad! We were looking for a pet-friendly place to stay while visiting the National Park(and of course the casino). For 70 bucks, I thought this was a great deal. The room was bigger than many hotel rooms I’ve been in, with two queen beds, and a little padded window area that could sleep a dog(or a kid, I guess). The hotel was clean, updated, and even the pet-friendly room had no odor or stains. There was a fenced in area in the back for your pet to use, but even better than that was the big field behind the hotel. We let our dog run around off-leash back there with no worries. Perfect setup. I was also pleased that the hotel accommodated a request I had entered into the«special requests» section of the online booking form for a non-smoking room, should one become available. I did not try the breakfast provided, so no comment there. Only removing one star because this was officially the slowest internet I’ve ever used. The ping times led me to believe it was a satellite internet connection. You’re better off using your cell phone 3g or 4g signal if you can get one. The wifi password is «Micro» if you want to give it a shot.

Clean/good location. However I had trouble getting service from Rachael at the front desk who was engaged with a personal phone call. Also they need a larger space to accommodate the breakfast crowd.

This one is a winner! My two daughters and I stayed there(three separate rooms) and I had my dog with me so we were on the ground floor for our convenience. It was a little hard to locate since we first looked on Casino Circle but instead of turning left onto the casino property, we should have turned right onto Casino Trail, coming from the South. The rooms were clean, well equipped and comfortable. The staff was helpful, hospitable and concerned for our comfort. We enjoyed the free breakfast bar which was well stocked(cereal, boiled eggs, yogurts, juices, coffee, tea, a waffle iron with the mix readily available, muffins, bagels, cream cheese, jams) and especially the availability of fresh coffee and tea 24 hours daily. During the afternoon, they provided a tray of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for their guests and fresh fruit. Microtel had a free shuttle to and from the casino, with a gracious and helpful driver. The motel was relatively new and well maintained. There was even a fenced in run for the dogs. It is nestled next to Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Food Lion, Radio Shack and several other businesses. The beds were comfortable and there was a wi-fi connection in every room. The staff was ultra friendly and helpful. This more than exceeded our expectations. Would advise making your reservations far in advance — it is that popular!

Received free tickets to a concert at Harrah’s. Had hoped to get a hotel room there, but they were booked every weekend until the end of the year. Read a few reviews about other hotels including the Microtel and decided to stay here. They rooms were clean even though the hotel is pet friendly. But what sold me about this hotel is the great customer service! From Rob, the shuttle driver(their FREE shuttle runs until 3am!) to the ladies at the front desk… what a great experience!!!
