Was not real impressed with this place. stayed at Harrah’s for 2 nights. Friday evening, October 16, around 7:30 or 8:00, we went to Selu Garden Café. My wife had wings and I had a mushroom burger and sweet potato fries. First the good… the fries were really good. Great natural sweet potato taste and crispy. Per the wifey, the wings were okay. Nothing to write home about. Now the bad… the burger was a hockey puck. Absolutely no moisture left in the meat. The bun was huge… more bread than was needed for the burger and it wasn’t toasted. I ended up taking the top part of the bun off and just eating it that way. I ate about half an gave up. I’ve had better… well, everyplace. Still hungry, we ordered the peach cobbler. We looovvve peach cobbler. It should be it’s own food group. After a 15 minute wait, the waitress brought out what seemed to be canned peaches dumped over hard biscuits. How they can pretend that this was cobbler, I don’t know. Saturday night, we opted for room service. That was much better. Side note… there was no problem with our waitress. She was attentive and apologetic. None of this was her fault.

The quality and selection is above average here the problem is the management at Harrahs they apparently could care less about there customers this place is only open for breakfast and lunch in spite of counting more than fifty people on a recent Wednesday night heading there for dinner. Come on Harrahs use some of that billion dollars in profit to keep your customers happy!

If you’re looking for a good priced, really awesome and delicious place to eat at, this is the place! I was tasked in the family to find a place to eat around the area(we were staying in the hotel), and I looked at the other breakfast places in the surrounding areas and there wasn’t too many that were too appealing. Yeah I know, that kind of kills the competition but this place definitely kill the competition even if it had one! Great service, menu choices, and buffet line. What’s more too ask! It is honestly the best breakfast choice in the local area anyways, so it isn’t hard to make this your first choice to eat at in the morning.

First off I love French Onion Soup. When the chef’s choice was French Onion, you know I am ordering it. My other option was Corn Chowder… Nope! Not ever going to eat that. The Onion soup was GREAT! For my meal, I was looking forward to the Prime Rib. My option was Medium Well or Well. My choice is Medium Rare. So I opted out of the Prime Rib. Darn! I ended up getting the Beef Stroganoff. Delicious. It came out hot and tasty. This is a place I would definitely go back to. It is far superior to the low quality food and poor service which Brio provides.

We ate there twice. Once on 4 – 9 we all had salad bar. The corn chowder was amazballs. Then we ate there on 4 – 10. I had country fried steak and gravy mashed taters with gravy and steamed broccoli it was amazing. My wife had chicken salad sandwich w/fries was very good. My mother in law had shrimp and fried oysters. She got 9 fried oysters and 8 huge shrimp fries hush puppies and cole slaw. Everything was AMAZING! DONOT eat at chef’s stage it is terrible. Go to Selu every chance you can its fresh hot and worth every penny. I hate to gamble my money but I will gladly go to harrahs again just to eat at Selu.
