Cranky’s Handbags

Never again will I consign there. The owner is never there, she’s always on vacation, her staff needs to wait for her to approve handbags that are being consigned so it takes forever, she also needs to be there when you pick up your handbag (if it doesn’t sell). If you don’t trust your staff to do consignment then find someone who can do it while your away every day of the week. Not to mention if you don’t pick up your handbag when THEY want you to they will donate it! Can you believe that? I can’t tell you how upset I was to get an email the week before Christmas to pick up my handbag and if I didn’t they will basically give it away. What right do you have to donate someone else’s belongings? If its there for months then I understand but don’t contact me the week before the craziest holiday of the year and expect me to drop everything I’m doing to go out of my way to pick up my bag, it won’t hurt you to hold on to it for another week?
When my bags did sell there I never got a phone call, email, nothing. Both times I so happened to be in the neighborhood and stopped by and my bags weren’t there. I thought it was nice my bags sold and no one ever contacted me.
Word of advice, don’t consign there.

fine selection of soft scarves, cute winter hats, gloves, clutches and purses are displayed nicely throughout. fancy formal items as well as everyday well-​made leather purses. i even noticed some adorable birdcage blushers.
i know why they call it cranky’s. because the woman working here was an unapologetic bitch. interestingly enough, it was not directed at me, but at another customer who was asking if they would buy some of her gently-​used designer purses on consignment. i am not familiar with the store’s policy on such a thing, however the response given to her was terse and left me with a terrible impression.
the owner’s sour attitude ensures i won’t be back. i couldn’t believe she would treat a customer that way. especially in front of so many other customers!
