Came here last weekend while in the area with my boyfriend. I’ve definitely had better. The kkanpoongee(fried sauced chicken) was okay. The chicken pieces were so tiny, I’m used to big meatier pieces, still very crispy while in the sauce. My boyfriend got the baby octopus bowl which was really good! I got the naengmyun and it was ehhh okay. I wasn’t a fan of the noodles, they didn’t seem very fresh. I was kind of annoyed because while we were eating lunch, the owners and waiter seemed to be eating their lunch across the room from us. Never checked on us unless I said excuse me. I’m kind of used to this custom as whenever the Asian restaurants are small and not a lot of people are there, this happens which is totally fine! Everyone needs to eat! But don’t neglect your current customers because you’re eating, I“m paying you’re not, I’m more important remember?

Love this place! Food is very fresh and authentic. The staff is nice and friendly. You know the place is good when you see first generation Koreans filing in there after church!

Located in a small, hard to get to plaza, I had low expectations. Went here because my gf and I were starving, and wanted something close by. The Korean food scene in Cherry Hill is pretty lacking, with many unremarkable Korean restaurants in the area. Unlike most Asian restaurants, Jjang is clean, with attention to detail regarding the floor, tables, walls and many others. A clean interior is paramount for any restaurant. Anyone going into an Asian restaurant should not be expecting extremely warm service, as most restaurants run by first generation Asians are often a bit rough around the edges. Service here is prompt, intruding, but not unfriendly. Interior and menu were simple and straight forward. No sign of pretension or being overly fussy anywhere — a great thing for a restaurant. Opted for the Fried Dumplings and Pork Bulg Lunch Special. The cold side-dishes came out before the appetizers, and they were pretty dang good. The Kimchi was nice and spicy, beansprouts were marinated nicely, and there was a yellow vegetable that had a slightly sweet and sour taste to it that was delightful. Fried Dumpings were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Was seasoned slightly on the salty side considering the soy sauce + rice wine dipping sauce was also slightly salty, but not too overpowering. Pork Bulg came with rice and of course the pork and onions. It was very mild. If you prefer eating spicier, bolder flavors, I would suggest asking them to up to heat. It was seasoned lightly, something unlike many other Korean restaurants. The rice was nice and soft, and the soup that came along with it was exceptional. A light soup, with a thin broth perfectly compliments the heaviness the pork and onions provide. Portions were in line with the price, and quality is pretty great. Am definitely planning a return when I have the time. Verdict: Worth a trip for those looking for a good mom n pop shop. Get the fried dumplings, and lunch special is great value.

The quantity of food is sososososo small. I like Tangsuyuk, and I had that food twice here. Price was $ 17 and quantity was like sosososo nothing. It is getting smaller. Jajangmun is ok, not good. Because I don’t have other option for korean chinese restaurant, I went there. But I will find other place for same food!

I decided to come check out this little spot because I was craving Korean and it was close by. I got food to go. Nice clean little restaurant and the staff was very kind. The food I ordered was amazing! I was suprised that they gave me the side dishes to go as well. All were delicious. I will come here more often since it’s so close to try out more of their dishes. *Oh yeah their Kimchi and nice and spicy!!! *

Definitely one of the better Korean-Chinese cuisine restaurants that’s about in an hour radius range from Manhattan. Homemade noodles(made on site) seals the deal when it comes to better taste and legitimacy concerning the authenticity of the dishes. Judging from the taste of the dishes(I had jjajangmyun and my wife had jjambbong), it’s evidently clear the chef and/or proprietor know what they’re doing with a winning recipe. They certainly hit it out of the park. In comparison, and to be candid, I haven’t had jjajangmyun this good since visiting Korea a few years ago.

I’m not too sure why the reviews here are so poor… The Korean food here is significantly better than any other Korean restaurant in Cherry Hill. Granted, it’s not really Korean food, but rather Chinese-Korean. However, the black bean noodles AKA Jjajangmyun is THEBEST in Cherry Hill. Also, their fried dumplings are hand made and so good. If you’re looking for a larger portion of Jjajangmyun, you can ask for an extra portion or you can get the pan sauteed jjajangmyun which my mom, my sister and I were able to share with extra left over. If you want spicy, you should definitely order the Jjampong, the seafood noodles. Ask for it extra spicy in order to get an extra kick. As far as service, sometimes it’ll be slow since there’s only 1 server and a lady in the back who comes out to help. I don’t mind the slow service here since the food is so great.

Decent food if you are craving JajangMyun in the area but really skimpy on the portion size. The noodles did have a nice chew to it and the sauce was decent but severely disappointed in the portion. If i’m paying 11 dollars for KanJajang, there should really be half the bowl left in leftovers especially after I’ve filled up on Tansoyuk, and Kanpoongki. Just a little bit more effort on the restaurant’s part and they save me the trip into philly for Jajang.

Yesterday my family and I tried this place for the first time since the change of ownership. We ordered Korean/Chinese dishes typical of any restaurant namely jjajangmyun, jjampong, fried rice, and sweet and sour pork korean style. Dishes were fairly priced in comparison to Philly restaurants. For the taste, they were so so. Jjajangmyun was bit bland and nothing special but noodle was good. Jjampong was good in a sense they did a very traditional way of stir frying the broth. Definately you would get similar taste in any korean/chinese place in Korea. For the fried rice it was a bit wet with less taste of the stir fried wok high heat taste. what gives chinese food its authentic taste is the heat transfer through thin wok. Because of ultra high heat cooking, you can never imitate that authentic taste at home and the fri3d rice did not have that taste to it. For the sweet and sour pork, their batter was not double cooked with corn starch with egg giving it soggy taste once it was blended with the sauce. However it did have good flavor. Also, I have never seen raisins used but they used raisins to give a bit of sweet and tangy added taste to this dish. we did not try any Korean dishes so I would go back to try some soup and stew to judge fairly. I am always skeptical of places having too many dishes on the menu because you cannot keep all the ingredient fresh Otherwise it is kept in the freezer. For the size of this restaurant, they do have a large menu in variety… Next time I go in I will ask what sells the best and try that dish…

Service was actually sub par. Had to ask for things several times, and the workers actually waited on the Korean customers first even though my family and I arrived first and ordered first. The only good thing about their service was that they replenished our banchan several times(granted, their banchan wasn’t good at all with very little variety). The entrees, however, made up for the terrible service and banchan. I had the chik mool naengmyun. It was so refreshing, and the serving size is big for the price! The noodles were the perfect firmness. There was even a large slice of a Korean pear in it(most places omit the pear or have very thin slices). My sister found the jajangmyun to be underwhelming, but almost every table surrounding us ordered it. The meat was too fatty, and the sauce wasn’t flavorful enough. My brother had the yukgaejang, which wasn’t anything special compared to other Korean restaurants we’ve tried. I don’t remember the names of the dishes my parents had, but they were par as well. Originally, I thought this place would have really good food since it was filled with Korean people, but that might just be because there aren’t that many Korean restaurants in the area. The food here isn’t consistently good. It just depends on what you order. The only reason I would come back here is for their chik moolnaengmyun or just for a Korean food fix if I’m in the area. Would not go out of my way to go here unless I’m craving their naengmyun.

This is a new Korean restaurant(labeled as Korean and Chinese on their door) in the same location where Dong Huan was. I had the Jjajangmyeon(listed under«Chinese Dishes») and it’s very good, much like at Dong Huan. The waitress made a point of telling me that they make their noodles in-house, which is always a good thing. The banchan were good, too. Service was quick and friendly.
