Good food, Great Staff, good customer service. Especially the Pav Samosas. I just wish they offered non-vegetarian food as well.

Alert this review is too long as it contains the story of how I spotted a mouse ! Took my work friends here for a buffet lunch around 1pm on a Friday. It was my turn to pick a restaurant, What an embarassment !!! The food trays were half empty and what’s left of it had dried up. I saw the lady at the counter refilling the lentil soup with what looked like a jar of water. Not quite sure, but she did refill them twice and was stirring it up for sometime. The buffet area was gross! Bits of food had dropped everywhere and no one bothered to clean them off. Even the serving spoons looked dirty and handle had melted! And to top it off, a mouse(atleast I hope that was a mouse) ran from the corner near the windows to the direction of the kitchen !!! … at this point I was silently praying none of the guys from work saw it. I had half a mind to report this place to the FDA ! Safe to say I’m never coming back! A friend of mine had told me about the different Indian deserts and candies they sell but I guess I just have to find some place else. But one thing is for sure, the curries which I had scrape from the bottom of the tray were pretty darn tasty(thank God!). Im just glad I didn’t get food poisoning. just an upset stomach but that was probably from feeling grossed out.

This place is good for chat items. Also puri bhaji and chole bature is awesome. You can also try the achari or potato kati roll. Just remember it is a pure vegetarian restaurant. Plenty of space and cozy. It is BYOB too !! It also has other Rajbhog products for sale. Overall highly recommend it atleast once.

Cheap, cheerful, spicy and 100% vegetarian — that’s all you need to know. Cafeteria style joint who specializes in catering. Order at the counter and your food is delivered on a plastic try with paper/plastic plates and cutlery. Don’t worry about it — you don’t come here for the ambiance — its only about the food. Recommended: Pav Bhaji or Masala Dosa — and order extra spicy if you want to FEELTHEBURN!

Since my last review, I have visited this place twice. Both times, the service was disappointingly slow and the food quality simply wasn’t great. I have to take a couple of stars away. Apparently when the owner lady is in charge of the kitchen you get smaller portions and the food simply doesn’t seem to taste fresh. If you order the same item twice, it does not look or taste the same. This restaurant still has a very different Indian food menu compared to other Indian restaurants, and it’s a good option for vegetarians who don’t mind some spice. However, most items are made from potatoes, onions, and peas. Now they have introduced online ordering. They used to give free sodas with every entrée but that has been discontinued.

This place is one of my favorites in NJ for vegetarian snacks. The food style is similar to the Indian Gujarati cuisine. The food prepared by the cook is tasty & the prompt word to use is chatpata(hot-sour-sweet snack flavoured with chutneys). The food items i would recommend you to try are Pav wada, Khasta kachori chat, Sabudana wada, Ragda pattice chat.

Honestly the worst Indian buffet I’ve ever had. Food was cold, flavorless and stale. The dessert had pieces of tin foil in it. Very dirty. They reuse their disposable trays! I will definitely never come here again.

I am updating my review because I bought two bags of their snacks to take home. Upon opening them, I found both to be rancid! I had to toss them both in the trash. So, I am a fan of dining here but do not recommend there bagged snacks!

I don’t know why I never bothered to go into Rajbhog café when I pass it practically every day during my commute. I finally gave it a chance right before Easter while I was eating vegetarian. Best decision I made that day. I ordered a dinner platter with malai kofta, a sort of okra and onion medley, daal, rice, pickles, 2 pooris, and a small samosa. The food took a while to come out, especially considering my two entrees were ready made and sitting out near the register under a heating lamp when I came in, AND also considering that I was practically the only person in the restaurant. When my food finally came out, after about 15 minutes of waiting, I realized that they’d made the poori from scratch. Definitely made up for the unusually long wait. The food was delicious and very spicy. The poori was the best part. I could tell it came straight from the fryer and barely had time to cool before getting to my table. Delicious, warm, fried goodness. I also bought a vegetarian biryani to share with my boyfriend, and that turned out to be even spicier than my platter. He like it though and powered through the spiciness, despite almost drowning in his sweat. The service at Rajbhog is not the best – in fact it’s slow and disorganized. During the hour I was there I watched two orders for two different customers get botched. Still, I don’t think anyone really minds; the food and the inexpensive menu certainly makes up for any short comings.

Great tasting food! Asked for chicken was denied due to it being a vegetarian restaurant.

Over a dull weekend, we decided to try something chatpata… Unilocal led us to Rajbhog… The restaurant is quite spacious and service is friendly… The chats are good… We love the samosas from here also the chilli pakodas… We haven’t tried the veg thali which seems to be a good seller…

Rajbhog has easily the best South Indian food for a clear 100 mile radius, yet for some reason this place has ZERO hype. Bafflingly, I am the one and only white person who goes here. I know this because the lady at the counter recognized me after a roughly 8 year hiatus, which I found somewhat comical. The food is all vegetarian. The flavors are so vivid that they jump off the plate and smack you hard in the tits. Everything is wonderful, but you should really check out the dosas, which are giant 4 ft long(not joking) crispy breads filled with various forms of heaven. The Mysore Masala dosa, filled with spicy spicy potatoes, is definitely a fan favorite. Go here people! By not going here, I find you all very disappointing.

This place has turned out to be the worst place to ever go to. I made the mistake of giving this place another chance. Whenever you see the female owner working the counter. RUNAWAY. She is a big crook. She will give you the smallest portions possible. If you order takeout, they use these 4 ounce containers and charge you full entrée price. GOELSEWHERE!!! All the other good reviews(from years ago) are because of the previous owners. This place has become garbage!

For $ 10 i got a diet coke, extra naan and a yummy indian vegi buffet! The inside was very cozy with many tables, lounge chairs and two plasma tvs. The owner was very nice, I didn’t know that Rahjbog makes their own frozen dinners, desserts and icecream.

We went here for a Sunday brunch. We ordered Samosas, Mysore masala dosa and Puri Bhaji. The place was not crowded and the staff were sweet spoken. Service was quick. Samosas tasted good. We found puris to be very oily. Mysore masala dosa was little dry and tasted far from authentic mysore dosas. Chutneys and sides for the dishes tasted good. Giving 3 stars because of the oily puris.

Awesome place for fast food and snacks. I haven’t tried their dinner, which is only 4 – 5 items. But one doesn’t need to. Other items like pav bhaji, chole bhature etc. are good enough to qualify for dinner portions. Highly recommended: Dabeli, Pav bhaji, vada pav etc. Stay away from: South Indian items

We were shopping in Cherry hill mall over the weekend and wanted a nice place for lunch. After searching on Unilocal,we settled on Rajbhog café. After reading a bunch of reviews, I had a mixed feeling but went ahead anyways without too much expectation. We walked into an almost empty restaurant on the Sunday afternoon of Memorial day weekend. FOOD: We ordered the following items. –thali with 2 vegetables/sabzis, rice, 2 rotis, a small samosa, and small servings of buttermilk/dahi, and pickle, all for $ 7.99. We were allowed to pick any two sabzis from their buffet selection, we chose paneer tikka masala and black eye peas curry. –Thanks to Unilocal deals, we got a free chat(Yay!!). We picked the khasta kachori chat, their chat is usually around $ 4.99−6.99. This kachori has a special mung dal filling, comes in a bed of chutneys, yogurt garnished on top with a savory snack called ‘sev’. –veggie cutlets, comes with sweet tamarind chutney and green mint coriander chutney for $ 2.99; it took them a bit longer to prepare this while we munched on other items. All the items were AMAZING! They served the thali first and a few minutes later the khasta kachori chat arrived. I wanted to take pictures of the food but before I realized, my husband and I had devoured the entire thali and chat. I mean it was that GOOD!!! The flavors were authentic(and not americanized!). The quantities were great for the price we paid. We couldn’t get to the veg cutlets because we were soooo full, so we packed it to-go. SERVICE/STAFF: This place has a pretty elegant ambience for a café but it is a casual restaurant without a table service. The manager was away and the girl in-charge then(who took orders behind the counter and also served us) gave us the option of buffet special, which we were unaware of. We got there around 2:15 pm, apparently their buffet is until 3 pm. We didn’t do buffet because we wanted to try different things. They have free wifi but the girl didn’t remember the password. She was really helpful though, called her manager and got me the password. Service was timely and she was very friendly. They gave us free bottled water as well. We will definitely go back to try their sweets and savories next time we are in the area.
