It’s Saturday at 10:34 and we wanted to order a pizza and we were told the kitchen was closed at 10:30. I’m sorry I thought you were trying to be a legitimate bar that doesn’t turnover ownership every 18 months. Your employees only said this because they are trying to get off early because there is not a lot of people here. The pizza is awesome, we’ve had it before, but to be told that we can’t order because the kitchen closed 4 min ago is not only horrible customer service, but equally disappointing. Will drive an extra 15 min to go to another bar that I know serves past 10:30 in the future.

I have been here before when this place was Dublin Square and I must say it is definitely a step up from that. To begin we were seated as soon as we walked in. The place itself had a decent crowd for afterwork on Thursday. I ordered myself the Irish cream ale nitro and it was pretty good. Light and frothy and reminded me of a coffee/milk type of drink. Later I also ordered a blonde Guinness, which I have never had before, and that was pretty good. It had a nice floral taste to it and was a lot different then a normal Guinness. For appetizer I ordered the fish tacos which were not bad, a bit over cooked on the fish but they okay and went well with the beer. For Entrée I ordered the Shepard’s pie and the meat inside, which I believe was lamb and beef, was dry and I needed to add a bit of salt and pepper to it as it did not have to much taste but other then that it was not terrible. Service was pretty slow and like I mentioned earlier it was not even that crowded but after the meals came I do not think we even saw our waitress. Other then that it seemed a decent place to get a beer at least at the bar with the band in the background.

We had brunch here today for Mother’s day, with 9 of us in total. It’s always a good start to have a complimentary drink and I went with the Mimosa over screwdriver. The menu for brunch looked pretty great with lots of options: french toast, chicken & waffles, egg white omelettes… I decided to go with the corned beef hash with poached eggs and toast. It was absolutely delicious. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly with a nice runny yolk and there was a slight crispiness on the outside of the hash. The server was quick and attentive. My brother had his two littles one with him and this was a great spot for kids.

They have spent a lot on appearances. Beyond that, there isn’t much. The featured Sunday brunch was disappointing, though. My corned beef hash came as a quarter puns patty with two poached eggs as described. Also two slices of dried toast. Hash was bland. It didn’t taste bad, it just have much taste. They weren’t that busy but our service was slow and inattentive. The busboy was good about filling water.

Great food and drink selections and great service. We were having a great time until after the Flyers game ended and a band started. It got really loud and the music wasn’t great. It seemed like a lot of people thought the same because they started leaving soon after.

This has become one of my favorite places. I like the back patio bar and fireplace. There’s plenty to choose from on the menu and I’ve never had an issue with a server. I was just there yesterday and our server Jen was very polite and laughed right along with us the sillier we got. It’s great warm place to hang out and it’s perfect when the warmer weather arrives! I’ll be back in a few weeks with a large group for a retirement party!

I dig this joint. Choppy layout but cool. Service and food are good. Prepared well and to taste. Staff are pleasant. A little pricy for your meal portions. Overall a nice experience.

Went to Tir Na Nog last night for a date night with the girlfriend. We arrived at 8:12 pm. The Flyers game was on all of the televisions, which was a plus. We were sitting down for a(late) dinner. When we arrived, there were 2 hostesses. They had a two minute debate on where to seat us. Finally, we were seated in the dining room to the right. It was cold. This observation wasn’t just us, we heard the table next to us also complain about it. I ordered a Guinness, which was far from a perfect pour. I didn’t think I would ever write this about a Guinness, but there was too much head(probably between 3 – 4 inches). I visited the Guinness StoreHouse in Ireland– this would not have flied there. Our waitress came up and asked«You guys ready?» No introduction whatsoever. I only know her name is Erika because that’s what it said on the receipt. We ordered a specialty pizza(White Pizza with Arugala, Walnuts, and Mushrooms), a Mediterranean Sea Bass with Portabella Mushrooms & Potatoes, and a Caesar salad to split before the main courses. The caesar salad came out in 10 minutes. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. And Erika came over and apologized for the wait. And we waited. And we waited. Finally, at around 9:00, our food came out, 45 minutes after ordering. No apologies/no explanations. It wasn’t even busy. Luckily, the food was delicious. It was really cooked to perfection. This is a great place for Happy Hours, but seems lackluster as a restaurant.

We were looking for a place with patio seating and landed here. Beautiful outdoor area, service was okay, and the food was good. My dish was pretty tasty — a buttermilk chicken sandwich. My partner got a burger and said it was all right. We were originally given brunch menus, figured out our order, and were then told we would need to order off the dinner menu which the server then brought to us to look over as it was then 3:02PM. Not a huge deal, but their regular menu didn’t really hit the spot after seeing the brunch offerings. I inquired about the possibility of ordering the brunch menu’s chicken sandwich. The server checked with the kitchen and they said yes. :) Really happy about that since the only other choice, on their regular menu, in terms of sandwiches I can eat, is the turkey burger. :/Meh. I think we’d visit again for brunch, but probably not for dinner. On our previous visit(dinner), we ended up ordering a few small plates to try and they were okay. That was last year sometime, so you can see, we haven’t been back to visit much since. Glad we did today, though. Still thinking about that delicious chicken!

Took my out of town friend to lunch for her birthday. The music was so loud that I couldn’t think, asked the waitress to turn it down, she said she did request it however it was still blasting, complained again, still blasting, finally my guest asked the meaning of Tir Na Nog and the waitress told my guest but I couldn’t hear what she said due to the loud music so I said it must mean home of deaf people and finally they turned music down. The table near us was heard to say«much better» nodded our way and said«thanks». I’m convinced that millennials must all have extreme hearing losses because they always have loud music. Food was OK This is not a place to go and relax unless you are deaf.

No comparison to Philly location. The pizza is edible. Some of the food is okay but barely that. The wings in the Philly location are probably my favorite. The wings here were fatty and not very good at all. Too expensive to be just okay. Won’t be coming back.

I am literally one of 12 people at the bar and still can’t get service. Oh what sad times these are when any passing ruffian utters«KNEE!» at a bartender and receives no service. There is a pestilence upon this land.

The fraudulent reviews for this bar/grille inspired me to join Unilocal. The simple truth is, this place is a disaster from top to bottom. My coworkers and I have been coming to this location for a few years. The physical plant is huge, dominating Short Hills Plaza, the lease has to be enormous. That’s why boutique restaurants like the Olive never worked. Swanky Bubbles was ok, but never made a bar work. When Dublin Square opened up, we were legitimately excited. Finally Voorhees would get a bar with a great craft beer selection/gastropub. Without getting into it, the bar was good, service outstanding, food was terrible. Irish cuisine/boxty concept from Swanky Bubbles was rehashed — poorly. We hoped Tir Na Nog, a successful franchise with a Philly location w/outstanding food, would breathe some life into the place. Nope. Utter disappointment. Tir Na Nog ruined everything that worked with Dublin Square while managing to copy every failure. They started with some minor interior improvements. They stuck a huge obtrusive hostess stand right inside the foyer, essentially cutting the only inside social space in half for no reason. Next thing the new management did was destroy the bar. while I wasn’t crazy about the selection/prices at Dublin, the bartenders there knew you. they knew what regular customers liked to drink. they were friendly. the new staff? good luck getting a drink, even when the place is half empty. When a place advertises«Irish Cuisine» you know better than to get your hopes up, but there is literally NOTHING edible on their bar or happy hour menu. We’ve tried everything. Wings — cold and/or underdone. raw chicken. Fries — I’m guessing they change the oil in the deep friers semi-annually. Pizza — how hard is it to make pizza?(answer, damn near impossible for these people). Chicken fingers — like biting into a warm crispy bag of grease. Burgers — cooked to temperature is a suggestion only. In a fit of desperation, i’ve even tried some of the more«exotic» dishes: Korean dog flavored lettuce wraps, and fish tacos. I tried the crab cakes a few weeks ago. The entire bar got silent when I ordered them, as if I had just taken my life in my hands. In many ways, I had. If you’re looking for a place to stand around and drink a Coors Lite or well drink and you don’t mind waiting a bit, the place is fine. If you care about food/service/responsive management, keep looking. We keep going here because the location is so convenient. It’s a shame, because if somebody with ½ a brain opened up a PJs restaurant here — it would work.

.. you know how, when you walk into a place, it’s so inviting you’re anticipating a good time? That’s a good pub, and this is a great place. On to the particulars, just had lunch here, hungry, no breakfast, took the counsel of staff and went for the Fish & Chips, as they said was the larger of the two dishes I was considering, the other, a Shepherds Pie, which I consider a true test of a pub. Generous portions, attentive service, even lit the fireplace up for me even though it’s a quiet lunch hour. Discovered here after a doctor’s appointment 1h from work. I’ll be back for the Shepherds Pie, it’ll be worth the trip I’m sure.

Went for lunch on a whim today and I was really impressed. Sat outside, I love that it’s lined with trees to give a sense of privacy. We were seated immediately. Server was very pleasant and made a couple of suggestions that I appreciated. I had a turkey burger which they cooked perfectly! Turkey burgers are often dry because they have to be cooked thoroughly, but this one was juicy and delicious. Fries were very good, too. We had just finished eating when it started to rain. Staff came running to get us inside and seated, they were just great. We had another beer inside, then left. I am certain I’ll be back again.

Just ate there for the first time and had a good experience. We had really good service. They have a big beer selection(and offer Unilocal beer specials) and nice slection of other stuff. We had the wings, fish tacos, and the Angus burger. The wings were on point, tacos were small but really good, and the burger was juicy and delicious. The reason for 4 stars is that they were on the pricier side– I’d expect pubs to be a little cheaper. They also have trivia night on Tuesdays which is fun!

Came to Tir Na Nog Irish Pub for the last two Friday nights and a Saturday afternoon in the summer and I can say that the place has stepped up from its previous names. These previous names include the questionably pronounced Dúbh Linn Square, which upgraded itself from the easier to pronounce Dublin Square, which upgraded itself from I believe Swanky Bubbles. I’ll still call it Dublin Square to my friends, as slurring the name Tir Na Nog seems more likely after a night out. If you’ve been to Dublin Square, you’re already pretty familiar with Tir Na Nog’s interior. It’s still got that fancy Irish establishment feel, but has been upgraded to seem more like a place to have a dinner with friends rather than a college reunion bar for the area’s former high school graduates. The atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly, there are two bars, and there is plenty of space both indoors and outdoors to bring a large group or just a few friends. Since the upgrade, it’s seems to be attracting an older crowd, who were more than happy to dance with a group of college-aged girls last week! The people seem a lot more friendly and are more than happy to strike a conversation with complete strangers. The drink menu isn’t dive bar cheap, but isn’t Philly expensive either. They’ve got good beers on tap and a large menu. As a plus, every time I went, they had a beer special for $ 3.00(last night it was Sam Adams summer ale). I’ve never had the food here, so I can’t speak for that. Based on a *small* sample size(two consecutive Friday nights), *every* Friday night has a cover band! I’ve never had much of an interest in live music, especially when trying to talk to my friends, but these bands have been on point and very entertaining. Last Friday(9÷26÷15) was an excellent group who covered soul and R&B hits from the 70s and 80s, which had a group of patrons out of their stools dancing. Last night(10÷2÷15) was another great group who covered top 40 hits with their own twists. Unlike most bars with live music, there was no cover charge; which is a big plus for people who didn’t come for the music at all. Solid place to have a good time with drinks and friends.

Tir Na Nog has stepped it up… This location has been an Irish bar for about 4 years…(was called the Dubh Linn Square and was lack luster at best.) But since Tir Na Nog has taken over, they have stepped up the game. The food is on point and the bar is a much better vibrant scene. We were a 3 top grabbing a late dinner… our server Kara was on point. She knew the menu, the daily specials(which was whole lobster) and even pointed out some beer selections. I’m an IPA beer guy and she pointed me to a California IPA(Green Flash) that was very good. They have a nice selection of Irish fare, but also round out their menu with Pasta dishes, Fish Taco’s, Korean beef lettuce wraps… and beef carpaccio. Our party shared the chocolate lava cake for dessert and we all enjoyed it. The band started at 9pm and we stayed around to have a few more brews and enjoy the music. Definitely will come back.

The atmosphere is great. The food, eh… I had fish and chips and the fish was actually dry. I had to load it up with malt vinegar and ketchup to make it edible. Others at my table had the salmon — covered is something called salsa verde but was more like an icky pesto, a chicken dish that was supposed to have been a small-ish chicken as described by the waitress but was actually 2 pieces of a small chicken; the shepherd’s pie was enjoyed by my husband. The warm and sticky toffee pudding for dessert was not warm, sticky or toffee.

My wife and I came here for an early dinner on 9÷5÷15. The building was well decorated and clean. For an appetizer we ordered the Korean BBQ in a lettuce wrap. The wrap was excellent, the sauce was tasty and the meat pulled apart with each bite. The portion was just right for us, at three wraps. My wife ordered the Shepherd’s Pie and it was delicious with lamb, beef, peas and carrots covered with mashed potatoes. I wanted to try something different so I ordered the pan seared striped bass. It was fantastic, I would definitely order this again. My plate was piled high with asparagus, mushrooms, capers and of course bass. I highly recommend this dish even if you are not a big fan of seafood. I also recommend the dark and stormy cocktail. Its dark rum, ginger beer and lime juice served in a cold metal cup… Very tasty!

Just went here for dinner last night while on business. I would definitely recommend this for a high quality meal in a comfortable atmosphere. Nice to see an Irish restaurant that doesn’t just serve low quality food. I had the corned beef and cabbage, which was a really fancy take on the traditional dish. Really well done. Unlike anything I’ve had before! Really good beer selection as well. Only problem was that there was a Unilocal offer for a free beer when you check in on Unilocal(you can probably see it above this review). The bartender said that it was fake, but clearly someone in management put this offer there. It did draw me to try out this restaurant. Disappointing that they would not honor it.

Impromptu date night brought us here. If you’re looking for a good dinner go elsewhere but if you’re looking for good drinks and bar fare then this is an okay spot. Salmon was bland as was the Range Chicken. The fish tacos we ordered were bland with some spice kick but the soft tortilla they were served on crumbled and tastes old which meant they were stale and dated. Our server wasn’t very attentive. It took her 20 minutes to bring my partner sugar and cream for their coffee. By then the coffee was lukewarm. Took another 20 minutes for her to retrieve the check. Never again.

Service was good, but it is a little complexing regarding the menu and the food that is delivered. I’ve been to the Tir Na Nog in Philadelphia and it surpasses this outpost by far. For example, if you ever had the wings at the Philadelphia location you’ll understand how good they are. At this one they have a hard time getting even close to the competitors in the area. In addition, the wings aren’t even on the main menu. Rather you have to find them and order them off the bar menu. I would think, given the pub atmosphere, that one would be able to be able to find them right on the main dinner menu. My advice to TNN at CH is that they get back to pub basics and look to their Philadelphia counterpart for what food should be offered and how it should be prepared.

First time there since it changed from Dublin square, and I have to say that the new food menu was exciting. Ended up getting the truffled wild mushroom toast, which had an egg on top and was unbelievably tasty, and the loaded fries with chili and cheese fondue, which was gone in less than 5 minutes because I am a cheesefry junkie. My husband had corned beef and cabbage, which he seemed to like, but it was a pretty large portion. I like that they have Illusive Traveler on draft because it is crazy refreshing. We also had some kind of funnel cake beer??? Didn’t taste like much at first sip, but it leaves a powdered sugar after taste. ‘Twas an enjoyable experience and I will be back. ALSO, IFYOUAREGLUTENFREE, they have gluten free rolls for $ 1 extra for any burgers.

Looked forward to an Irish meal bringing all 3 of my boys out for an Irish experience. Was shocked by the lack of Irish dishes and ridiculously high prices. Not a place to bring your kids to try anything different. Chicken fingers I could have gotten at McDonald’s. And for myself, I wasn’t paying over $ 20 for cabage and corn beef so I settled for a non traditional fish and tacos. The dish was tasty and my Black and Tan was cold so I can’t bitch about the food, just disappointed I couldn’t share a nice Irish meal with my boys for a decent price. Wouldn’t recommend coming if your looking for an Irish experience with the kids. Rather have eaten at the Kabitz Room down the street.
