Baught new RV about a year ago from this company, sale went great but their service leaves alot to desire. Their attitude is terrible and you get the feeling they don’t care, only excuse you get is «its peak camping season». Took camper in to get some things repaired and picked up camper with more issues then we had when we took it in. They damaged floor and roof on the slide out. Then file warranty with manufacture to cover what they damaged. Owner sees nothing wrong with the way the service department treated us and stated«they are keeping you informed and have you scheduled for repair right, so what’s the problem»?

Unlike an average camper, one who uses his RV for 34 days a year, some of us use our camper as a second home. We keep it available to us at a campground all year long. In this way, seldom moving our camper, the expense of owning a pickup truck can be avoided altogether. Several months ago I went to American Family RV to purchase a new travel trailer. Because I do not own n a pickup I asked the owner to drive 30 miles to give an estimate on my old travel trailer. He said it was no problem, all I had to do was pay him $ 250.00! A tech came and did the estimate and the conditions for purchasing a new trailer — price of new trailer too high and trade too low — was soon established. When I asked to have the new trailer delivered the owner refused. He would not sell me the new trailer unless I brought my old trailer to the dealership and pick up the new one. Duh! What part of, «I don’t own a pickup,» did you not understand? Thinking about buying a new RV at American Family RV? Good luck!

Recently bought and Rv from American Family. It was so much easier than buying a car. They offered and a fair price and communication was great. Would definitely refer others there and would buy again from them.

I called American Family about a trade in on my current unit. I wanted to trade in for a new unit that they had on their lot. The person who answered the phone when I called was unknowledgeable and said she would have to speak to the manager to give me an accurate quote on my RV and would call me back. My current RV is a 20135th wheel toy hauler in like new condition with all the options. I did get a call back from her about an hour later. She said they would offer me 20−25K below the current market value for my current RV(sub 20k). And yes I understand trade in and retail are completely different but really… Do they think I fell off the turnip truck yesterday? I was completely insulted by the offer and asked to speak with the manager. Surely some of the information about my RV must not have been relayed correctly. I was told«he is busy and can’t come to the phone right now» and«that is our offer sir». So I ask, Can I leave a message for him to call me? To date I have never received a call back from anyone at American Family. I have made quite a few previous trips to them for parts and accessories since they opened. Never again! I am currently in the market for a 20165th wheel toy hauler and I can promise you American Family will never see another dime of my money!

I’m staying as far away from this place as I can. I spent about @2K on my travel trailer there, which included, maintenance, repair and updates. First off, the place has no parking so, if you live any distance from the facility and, you have to bring your unit back for any reason, good luck. You can’t leave it there.(If you do, they charge $ 30/day storage! a) You go to the back of the line, which could be weeks. One of the repairs they charged me for wasn’t repaired at all. The update I requested, they ordered and installed the wrong item so I had to take it back. They had to re-order the item so I had to wait. When it came in and I could get an appointment, they made the change out. The season by this time was almost gone so it was a few weeks before I could use the trailer. When I did, I found that the repair they did wasn’t repaired at all and, the upgrade that I had to take back becuase they ordered the wrong thing, was ultimately put in wrong. It’s Snyder’s RV for me from now on.
