So, for my sons birthday, we got him a 1,000gal pool. Something to relax in during the summer months. I was a little lost on how to maintain it. It came with filter, but I honestly did not know much other then that. I went to several stores and I was referred to here. Well, I walked in and there were about 5 employees. 1 behind a counter on the left, on and off the phone and 3 – 4 behind the counter on the right. It looked like they were testing water samples. There were about 5 – 6 customers in the store and they were all at the counter on the right. I was lost. I looked around, but nothing stood out as making any sense. I didn’t know where to stand to ask for help. People saw me, but they didn’t say anything to me. It was like they assumed I knew what to do. So I stood there, watching what people were doing hoping I could figure it out. The people on the right were testing samples brought in by the customers. They were then advised on how to correct whatever issues they have with their pool and then go to the guy on the left, with their chemical correctors, and he would ring them up. Well, after I figured that out, I got out the line on the right and turned to the guy on the left… which, by then, there was a man in front of me. He rang him up and then the employee looked right through me to talk to a sales rep. What??? I have been standing in this store now for about 10 – 15 minutes and you are going to address a sales rep, that just walked in, before a customer? After he told the sales rep who he needed to contact, the employee looked passed me again and went to take care of another customer. This customer kindly pointed out that I was standing there, which prompted the man to address my questions.
Now, I normally don’t allow myself to be so rudely ignored, but I really needed my questions answered and my daughter was with me… otherwise, I would have left. They are getting three stars because once the gentleman gave customer service, he was good and informative. They test the water samples and guide you on how to maintain a healthy pool. If they had addressed me as soon as I walked in and said, «hello» or helped direct me since I obviously did not have a water sample with me, I would have gladly given them 5 stars. They should never assume I understand how their business works. The store is clean and the employees there are informative. They just really need to work on their customer service.
