A new lounge in Chesapeake!
I believe this space was used for a soul food restaurant a while back… Ms. Marian’s maybe. I never been there, but I keep my ear to the streets and the streets were talking… so I heard it was Ms. Marian’s before, but you aint heard it from me :) Once I entered… it was very small and had a restaurant feel to it, so yes it very well could have been the spot the streets said it was.
Nevertheless, I visited on a Wednesday night.

More specials: 5p-9pm…All baskets are $ 4

Yeeeeah boy!!! This was my cheat day so I was loving it!!! I did go overboard, but it was worth it, but I paid for it the next day… yikes!!!
The atmosphere was sorta hood (no dress code was in place… couldn’t of been): people had on anything! Some were dressed for the part. But others… jogging pants, fitted caps, white hanes t-​shirts prolly. Just a lot going on. But everyone was real chill and having a good time. It could have been on the rachett side. But Ima say folk was just having a good time. I couldn’t even turn my nose up at anything. I came to the party in my work clothes… turned up with the people! It was a great night!
I guess the owner was feeling good because after 9pm he got on the mic to announce all top shelf drinks are $ 4 until he says stop. Ayeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Bring on the liquor shawty!!! heheheheheh… I was cool though. I had my drink and my two-​step and my fish basket… I was so good!
The DJ was DJ Illmatic from Hot 91… he was rockin. Now the place is small… so small that the bass from the DJ was hitting my chest sooooooo hard I had to find a corner seat so I wouldn’t feel it as much… no lie! :)
Our waitress, dang… I forgot her name. But a cute brown skin girl with braids… looked to me about early 20s… she was fantastic! She checked on us and made sure we were straight the entire night. Not once did we have to go searching for her. You go girl!
There was no cover charge… I arrived about 8pm. Not sure if there is a charge or if anything goes on any other night.
Now this lounge/​club is walking distance from another popular lounge/​club. The vibes are totally different and the music is definitely a different speed. So it will be interesting to see how long they can keep the up the progress here.
The building inside can definitely use some more remodling. Nevertheless, everyone seemed to have a good time. The security was on deck… no problems tho. The restoom was tidy… tissue and paper towels stocked. The soap tho… ummmmm yeah. Ima need them to work on that. But it was clean and useable so that’s all that matters.
They have high back cushioned seats along the windows… IMO this is a saftey hazzard. All I could think about is if a car comes steps on the gas pedal by mistake… smh! Not a good look. But luckily no worries that night. But IMO I would change that… put them on the other side of the lounge (wall seating). The otherside has mirrors with a few stand alone chairs… love the mirros!!! What girl doesn’t like a mirror from head to toe… yasssssssssssss!!!
But if you’re gamed for a new spot with cheap drinks and good eats… definitely check it out.
Eat, drink, dance, mingle, chill… you got it here! Must like LOUD MUSIC hehehehe
