Greenbrier Library

I adore this library! I take my baby to Early Literacy classes every week and everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. Also, the book sale corner is amazing.

Fantastic library and one of my mom’s favorite place to go. Very nice and comfortable to read. Great place to get help on anything. Great hours!

This is a smaller branch, so they might not have the book you’re looking for. You can request a transfer and they’ll email you when it comes in. They have a lot of activities for kids of all ages. We’ve utilized them for about 10 years.

This is a small library that has been around for years. This is the closest library to where I live and I stop by here occasionally when I want to get some studying done without having to drive too far. Unfortunately, I live right at the Virginia Beach border so I’m not an actual member here. Not sure how their book selection is.
Complimentary wifi is available and study tables are found on the second floor with outlets in the center of them, perfect for laptops. The only downside is that since it is small, if someone is making noise, chances are you’re probably going to hear it regardless of where you sit. Children in particular can get noisy on the ground level, even when you’re upstairs. So plan to bring some earphones/​headphones just incase! Overall, it’s good enough for studying, but may lack in the books. The noise level is probably slightly comparable to that of a coffee shop. Not the quietest, but tolerable.

Great hours. Open until 9pm most nights. Free wifi, and down the road from a great Pizza place if you need a snack.
Electricity for your laptop built right into the tables (upstairs)…nice

The library is quaint and cozy. The selection of books reflects their small size. But the place is ultra quiet and offers free Wifi to members. They also have several PCs in case you don’t have a laptop.
Seating is spread throughout the library. I suggest seating upstairs. It’s like your own island.
