Pumpkin season again time for a trip to the pumpkin patch at Hickory Ridge Farms. Outstanding place fun for the whole family we love the hayride the kids play area, pumpkin patch and of course the maze. Everybody had fun in our group with the wide variety of activities on a very busy day at the pumpkin Festival. To all the staff job well done. Looking forward to next year.

I brought my 9 and 11 year old children to pick strawberries on a Tuesday after school. The place was easy to find and there was plenty of parking available. The man working told us the best areas to find the big ripe berries. We had our 2 large baskets filled in about half an hour. I could have done it in less time, but the kids were having fun and we took pictures. There was a large pen area with a pig, a chicken, and 2 goats. You can buy a Dixie cup of feed for 50 cents. Be careful, the goats will snatch the cup out of your child’s hand and eat cup and all. There was an inflatable slide the kids could pay a small fee and slide as many times as they want. There are pony rides on the weekend. You can purchase jam, strawberry bread, and other items. I liked that they weren’t as busy as other places I’ve been and had better parking. They might be busier on a weekend.

I was looking for a real pumpkin patch in this area so that my family could experience picking pumpkins from the actual field it grew in. They have 3 fields full of pumpkins with some already picked near their register. We picked 2 pumpkins that were huge! I thought we would have been paying around $ 40-$ 50 but at $ 0.55/lb we ended up paying $ 23. They had 2 bouncy houses, some rideable plastic toys, a petting zoo area with 2 goats, a pig, and chickens, and a corn maze all in an inclusive price of $ 6. They had a pony ride for $ 5 and a hayride for $ 2 a person 2 and up. My family loved the experience and will definitely be back to pick strawberries in the Spring!
