This hotel is super clean, safe and inviting. They upgraded me to a suite and it was gorgeous. The bed was so comfortable and the room was spotless. I was exhausted from driving and they let me do a late checkout. The breakfast was included and delicious, and there is a laundry facility on the first floor. Also, the front desk staff here are so wonderful. They all went above and beyond in their customer service and I sincerely appreciated it. I’ll definitely be back.

When you first step off the elevator you get hit with the pungent smell of bleach and cigarettes. This is not a smoking room floor. As I walk threw the door I find the carpet littered with small pieces of trash. The bed had a few different brown stains on the top and the fire detector for the room was missing. I would not suggest this holiday inn to anyone!

Rooms are dated and dirty but for one night we managed. Worst part was both of the rude front desk clerk. Rude upon checkin and when I called to get a foldaway bed they grunted at me and hung up. I might have well spent $ 60 for a room instead of the $ 150 it would have been the same. Nasty pictures posted

Pretty disgusting. Carpets, bathrooms all smell like smoke. The lobby was fine. The smoke was coming through the vents. Side doors do not work…

I’m truly disappointed in holiday inn express. I remember they used to be clean. Well that’s not true anymore. I felt my health along with my family’s health was put at risk when I found mold growing over in the closer area near the bathroom. I stayed there along with my other family members for a family reunion and noticed some of my other family members had mold issues in the air conditioners, and a giant hole under the sink. The hotel appeared to be of four star quality but was not. When myself and others from the reunion went to complain management was no where to be found.

I have no idea why people gave this such a bad rating, but here is my $.02 Stayed 7÷30−7÷31,($ 73) this was a great spot after driving 8 hrs, we decided to stay here after making the long drive at night as we were on our way to VA beach. We arrived at 11:30 pm, the lady working was extremely friendly and got us all situated immediately. She also gave us/informed us about the login/password to the Wifi, I didn’t even ask, now that’s service. I had reserved 1 king non-smoking room, the room was fantastic, included a small kitchen and living room area, 2 tvs and a very comfortable bed. Since we arrived so late, they had no issue with giving us a late checkout, love it, breakfast was free and very tasty, lots of things to choose from. I honestly think people complain over the dumbest things, for the price, this hotel is great, it was clean, quiet and just what we needed after a long drive. I would stay here again without questioning anything.

I booked two rooms in the hotel for one night for myself and my husband and two other guests via the Priority Club hot line. At 12:30 am I was returning to the hotel when I came upon a group of 8 individuals congregating on and around a bench to the left of the hotel entry. They were speaking in loud enough tones to be heard from the handicapped parking space where I was parked. As I approached these people I noticed that they had a case of beer with them. I have never, ever been to any Holiday Inn chain and witnessed persons drinking in front of the establishment. I went inside and spoke to Whitney, the night manager. She apologized and I proceeded to my room. When I returned to my room I called her again as I found it very offensive that this was allowed on the premises. I choose this brand of hotel for it’s consistency and I actually was paying for my other guests in room 105. I had bragged to them about the quality of the Holiday Inn Express chains across the United States. This was quite an anomaly in my experience. The next morning I spoke to Osei, the day manager and I even photographed the empty beer case sitting on top of the trash can. There were some cosmetic issues with the hotel as well but those did not concern me as much as the drunken guests outside the hotel. My other guests told me that these people had stayed outside talking till at least 4 am because both of them had gone out to smoke after I had gone up to my room. They heard these guests discussing that they were in from«Brownsville» for their children’s baseball game.(Did these folks also leave their kids unattended in their rooms?) Here is a link to the picture of the front of the hotel the next morning: I am disappointed that no one from the upper management contacted me about my concerns. This is not typical for Holiday Inn. I sent a letter of complain via the post stay survey which the hotel issues but no apology or response directly from the hotel was forthcoming. I would stay away from this particular Holiday Inn Express. I felt my stay was cheapened by having to walk past people beer cans in hand. If I wanted to go low class I would have pulled off in to any random roadside motel instead of reserving a room the night before.
