I was not pleased with the overall service. I did not appreciate paying the extra cost for the premium entrees, walnut shrimp and steak. The serving sizes were rather small, the shrimp seemed to be smaller with more breading than usual and the steak was not tender. I did not care for the fried rice and it seemed like I got way more cabbage than any other vegetable. My food was rather cold when I did sit down to eat it within 5 minutes. This may be my last trip eating here because I was very dissatisfied with my meal. Going to a buffet would be a better meal deal.

Had a hankering for orange chicken so stopped in for a quick fix. Got a Plate(2 entrée, 1 side) of double orange chicken and mixed vegetables. Total cost was $ 7.69, which seemed like a bargain to me. Well, at least until I got into it and the chicken was barely warm. This was before I left the parking lot(don’t worry, I wasn’t driving ;)) The portion size was fine, but the fact that the chicken wasn’t hot left me wondering how long it had been sitting there. No complaints about the vegetables. I’d give it another try, unless food poisoning kills me first.

This location continues to be a shit-show of terrible service all around. After waiting a while to go back, my most recent visit was even worse than the previous visit over a year ago. I had hoped for the best, but I should have known better! I pulled into the drive through the other day and I was two cars away from ordering. I was able to keep a good time check on my wait because my wife called as I pulled in and the running timer of the call displayed on my dash. It literally took 14 minutes for the two cars in front of me to pull up far enough for me to be in position to order. A guy came on the speaker and asked for me to hold, so I held… I patiently waited 5 more minutes and figured it was about time to say something… so I said, «Hello, I am ready to order» and the guy comes back on the speaker and instructs me to hold longer. I responded with, «I have been waiting 20 minutes just to place my order.» The gentleman then proceeded to raise his tone and bitch about how he was the only person working the drive through. I then said, «since you have time to explain and complain, I am sure that you have time to take my order» and I proceeded with my order. After that, he just went silent and didn’t reply. I asked for his name and he responded very sassily with«Avian.» Sucks for Avian that his manager/owner put him in that position, but at the same time, he needs to learn to carry himself with class and maintain composure while at work. Also, this occurred at 2:15pm… not during the lunch rush. Talk about a joke. To anyone reading this, AVOIDTHISLOCATION. Nothing else needs to be said.

I LOVE Panda! They’re not as good as I remember from California, but certainly better than all the local Chinese take out places around here! I’m a loyal fan and the staff here is great!

I had the Black Pepper Chicken and Chow Mein. Chicken was good, but the noodles were dry. Servers were tripping all over each other. Beats the Rice King on Naval Station Norfolk.

Love love love the orange chicken! Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because they are a little slow and often out of white rice.

While the food that I received tasted great, they did not serve it very well. There was a lot of sauce on the outside and inside of the bag, plus some chicken had fallen out of the to go container into the bag. When I mentioned that it was a little messy to the drive through person, he just shrugged at me. Not impressed.

I’d give them half of a star. After numerous visits over a two year period their service still lacks. They are slow to take your order(even when not busy(5 min at the drive through is too long) they often mess the order up and the food itself has taken a plunge.(A thrown together mess) When confronted they ignore you as if you arent there and make no effort to fix their mistakes without prompting. Another chain failure in the making. Not to mention that the chain itself was less then helpful after my husband found a lugnut(bolt) in his food. Oh it happens they said… Surely we have given this place beyond the normal amount of chances. Dine at your own risk. To the owner– It starts with management. I encourage you to hire quality employees and get more personally involved in your buisness. Best of luck! Friday 15, 2016 8.30 pm

The pros: Cheap, adequate, and plentiful food. Our server was so nice, she apologized profusely for her numerous errors, but seemed really out of it. Grilled chicken is my new favorite. The cons: Chow mein was on the dryer side, needs more oil. Those who chop the cabbage need to learn how to chop because I got a piece of cabbage about 6 inches long… All pieces are cut different sizes so that’s why some pieces were practically raw and undercooked. Might need to ease up on the corn starch breading for some dishes because it just gets to be too much. All in all not bad but not terrible. Eaten once every few months is okay with me!

I love Panda Express, but the service at this location is terrible. It’s very slow and they often get my order wrong. Going through the drive-thru, I’ve had to park to wait for what felt like a long time several times. I’ve been asked on several occasions to repeat my order to multiple people. One time they completely switched my order with another person. Another time, they forgot our order and asked for the receipt back to get our food. Still, they didn’t get our order quite right and didn’t give us our receipt back either. I still come back because I like the food. It tastes like any other Panda Express, but this is the closest location to me. If I had a choice in nearby locations, I would definitely choose to go elsewhere.

I agree with everyone else. These guys aren’t great but ok. Nothing special at all. Food is very bland and under seasoned. Not worth they money I feel. I wouldn’t go there again unless I had no other options. Food: noodles very dry, broccoli hard, beef gritty, orange chicken was undercooked. Service: ok, took me 10 minutes to get food in drive thru

To my surprise… I.LIKE.THIS.PLACE! I am going to give it 5 stars because I do believe they definitely showed themselves worthy. Upon arrival I looked at a few reviews and most were not praiseworthy at all. I also peeped the 2 stars for the restaurant. But you know, I also noticed most reviews occurred when the restaurant first opened about 6 months or so ago. So I thought to myself… self, don’t believe the hype or lack thereof. I mean I constantly see a steady flow of customers when I pass by. And the location that was in Waterside(Norfolk) years ago, the food was great. Nevertheless, I was hungry and wanted something to hold me until dinner; so I figured, OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHPANDA!!! I walked in and witnessed two parties dining in and one couple at the order counter still undecided. I checked out everything before I ordered, because I haven’t had«Chinese Food» in awhile and it’s certain items I don’t bother ordering just on perception and looks of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. The restrooms were in tiptop shape. The lobby was cool and clean. And the restaurant smelled devine. So I figured…2 stars people, really??? Well I’m going against the grain and I’m ordering! The serving area is wide open(covered by glass shields) so you pretty much can see what’s going on with your food. No high walls or any barriers… Nice presentation! I saw six employees present and they all seemed to work well with together. Communication was heard throughout my visit. «We need more orange chicken and angus steak» — «I have it coming, thank you» I thought to myself, ok ok. Well that’s how the cook knows food is running low. Neat! Mind you, the cook can easily peek up front to see what items are low as well. So about 5 minutes went by and I was still deciding what I reallllly wanted. But in the mean time, about 3 other parties walked into the restaurant… so business is definitely steady and people must enjoy this cuisine. I sampled the orange chicken, string bean chicken, and the sweetfire chicken breast. All except the sweetfire chicken breast was mmmm mmmm good! So here I go… I ordered the Kid’s Meal(jr. entrée, jr. side. 12 oz. drink and a chocolate chip chunk cookie for $ 4.90 + tax). My entrée, string bean chicken breast and mixed veggies as my side. My drink, I mixed the black tea(sweetened) and the Panda blend tea(naturally sweetened) which was yummy to my tummy! And I guess they only have the chocolate chip cookie(which was soft and good) because no other choices were available. My mother ordered the bowl with fried rice and orange chicken. She enjoyed her meal as well. The only downsides, the rice was dry and the chicken would have been much better if it was in heavy sauce so she could smother her rice in it. But hey, I guess this is where the«gourmet» comes into play. Nevertheless, she was satisfied! All workers were attentive and ready to provide samples to all who asked. I sampled about three meats. I just knew they were going to say… um ma’am only 2 samples. But I was surprised again! I peeped their large frig where they keep the fresh cut veggies… nice! Don’t count this place out. I went on a Sunday afternoon and my experience was better than good! I felt my food was fresh, lite and it hit the spot. You may need more than a kid’s meal. But as I continue my healthy lifestyle journey, the kids meal was just right :) Have fun :)

This place has a drive threw thats awesome. Atmosphere is very different from a normal Chinese togo place. As soon as i walked in i was greeted and asked if i wanted to try a sample. While most food was pre cooked on display we did have to wait for a fresh batch of chicken teriyaki. It wasn’t a long wait and i feel better knowing my food wasnt sitting around all day. And the quality and presentation is good. I will be coming back!

First time at this location but not my first time at a Panda Express. I’m not sure if we’ll give it a second try. The interior was clean and most of the entrées were in stock. We were greeted immediately upon entering. There was no one else in line. My husband was served first. There were three other employees behind the counter chatting but no one offered to serve me until a manager/supervisor walked out from the back to serve me. With both our to-go containers at the register, we wait. And wait. We had to go to the gaggle of chatty Cathys to ask if we could pay for our food. One of them went to the back and asked who was manning the registers. She told us they’d be right with us then went back to her group. What? Why do you need that many workers present if you’re still going to make us wait? Perhaps the manager that served me could’ve informed the cashier that we were ready as soon as she finished serving me. Or maybe the other manager that was standing there with his clipboard could’ve said something. I’m assuming they’re managers/supervisors. They were wearing black shirts while the rest were all red. I don’t like leaving negative reviews so I suppose we’ll try it again another time. Or we’ll just stick to the Mac Mall location.

In here again. Not busy at all. A guy was waiting with no one else in line for so long that he yelled at the workers and manager and ended up leaving. This place just keeps getting marks for bad service and food stocking problems. If it wasn’t for my wife liking the shrimp I would never be going here!

This was my first time here, and I live around the area and I haven’t tried this place yet. Their interior is very asian modernistic. They have a bowl size(1 meat), plate size(2 meats), and a super plate size(3 meats). They have interesting choices of meat entrees and familiar selections and their prices vary by the type of meat. For instance the honey walnut shrimp is $ 1.25 extra onto of the meal size. I tried the sweet chili chicken breast, with steam rice and mixed veggies. The half and half wasn’t extra, but had smaller portions. The food seemed ok, it was prolly bc the food wasn’t fresh at the time and was sitting there for awhile. But overall the customer service is very friendly. I heard some good reviews about this place and wouldn’t mind to try it again.

This place just opened and I was SO excited to eat Panda Express in Chesapeake. I had been to the one in the food court at MacArthur Mall, and love the food! I have never seen a stand alone version before(with a drive through!?). Well, all that excitement was for nothing. This place was terrible. After a grueling workday I was looking for a bite to eat and I was starving. I saw the«open» sign lit up for the first time and went for it. First of all there was only one other vehicle in line for the drive-through and after about 15 minutes they drove away without getting food. When I got up to the window I realized why. They hardly had any food left! After asking for a few things and they responded«we are out of that» I finally asked«well what DO you have?!» I ordered the Orange chicken and broccoli/beef. When I got back to my apartment I realized they DIDNT put the Orange chicken in the container! Even though I PAID for it! I was WAYTOO tired to drive all the way back. But they sure lost a customer for life. Most disappointing experience.

Ok so if you been to one then you been to all Well Sorda… Drive thru for Friday evening was long, which I expected but it was moving right along. The menu board was pretty easy to follow. Your pay and pick up at the same window. So to the food. I’ve had Panda Express in DC recently and I find that this location to be much better. The food was not as salty or greasy and the vegetables still had a crunch to it meaning, it wasn’t over cooked. Came here twice and both times they were out of something that I really really wanted… URG –_– No, it’s not a sit down 5 star Chinese restaurant with that quality taste but a fast affordable meal. So, with that expectation you will like it.

Ok ok, This location has only been open for a few days now and it’s fair to say they still have a few kinks to work out. The main problem seems to be them not having enough food prepared leaving customers with the choice of waiting for another batch to be made, choosing another item or just leaving empty handed. luckily for me they had what I wanted: p it’s going to take some time for them to adjust and become aware of their busy and not so busy times. Other than that the food was delicious, the place looks nice and modern but the Feng shui is kinda off. Best of all they have DRIVETHRU which is awesome!
