My family and I ordered here a few times. We always ordered fried rice but the consistency is always different each time. Sometimes the rice is way under cooked and then there are times where there’s no taste to the fried rice. We love their egg drop soup, general tsao chicken and their Lo-mein. It can get pricey. Every time we order, it costs us like $ 50+ each time for 4 things. They don’t do family meals combo anymore.

First time trying Hunan Wok. Friendly service. I tried the crab ragoon and Mongolian beef. It was my first time trying the crab ragoon and I was curious about it cus everyone talks about eating those, but I didn’t see anything great about it. The Mongolian beef was impressively good. The only issue I had they put WAYY too much onions in it. I love onions, but holy crap I still had almost a whole thing of onions left in my container cuz that’s how much is in there. Overall: I’d eat there again, but maybe try asking them to not put so much onions in the beef.

Food delicious, egg rolls are DISGUSTING! I stopped going there because of the egg rolls. Everything comes with an egg roll but there’s a reason why; they’re terrible. If you want good chinese food they are great, but if you like egg rolls, run away! China Lian is your best bet

I found this place the other day. It’s kind of hidden in the shopping center. Only the«Wok» part of the sign is lit up that’s probably why I missed it. The vibe here is definitely the same as any other Chinese food place. Short and to the point staff. But also very quick with making food. They also have jewelry and little knick knacks for sale which I thought was pretty cool. I had the shrimp lo mein and I really enjoyed it. The chicken teriyaki looked a little different than what other places have. It’s almost like it was fried. I’m not too sure, but it was definitely delicious! I’ll definitely return to this restaurant.

I was visiting my daughter in college and we wanted to get something for lunch. I tried to use Unilocal to research places that were open, delivered, and had favorable reviews. Unfortunately, not many people seem to use Unilocal here … or they don’t eat Chinese. Anyway, I chose this location and here is the synopsis: Delivery time took a little longer than expected(45 min) Special fried rice seemed to be missing the«special» Ordered Shrimp lo mein, and they didn’t stay till the end Generally when I order Chinese, it arrives before I even it order it … just kidding of course, but this place took what seemed like forever. The special fried rice had absolutely no flavor and the chicken was either undercooked, or wasn’t chicken(it was sort of grey in color). The shrimp lo mein is really hard to mess up, but the only shrimp that we had was on top. It seems as though they pack in noodles, and then pop on a few shrimp to give the illusion of meaty goodness. Fail. Generally I don’t waste time with creating bad reviews, but the family was not impressed. The leftovers? In the garbage.

Since I’ve been back out in Greenbrier I’ve been trying out the various Chinese food establishments I’ve come across and found that Hunan Wok is pretty darn good. I stopped in on a rainy day recently and ordered some carry out. The staff was friendly and I placed my order and waited for about 10 – 12 minutes while it was prepared. The price was about $ 8 for a Beef & Broccoli with an egg roll on the side. Upon opening my food the first thing I noticed was that they serve a regular fried rice, not the yellow kind(blah). The food was fresh and delicious and even the egg roll had a nice flaky coating and didn’t taste as if it has been frozen. Big props all around. You can find Hunan Wok in the strip shops next to Sam’s Cub on Battlefield Blvd.

Hey guys! I went to this place for the first time today and had a cool experience. I ordered vegetable lo-Mein with additional broccoli, garlic and hot chili oil. The end result was decent/good. There were a good amount of veggies which is a great thing. However I did not taste the additional garlic I requested. As for flavor it wasn’t the best but it was decent, not to bland. Finding a lo-Mein that makes me happy is difficult. The item was served piping hot and on time(I called ahead). I would possibly re-visit.

Super awesome food. Ask for the Pancit, medium heat, it will knock your socks off! Prices are on point, the customer service is excellent. Definitely worth the slightly off the beaten path drive.

The only Chinese food ill order. Food seems good so far and have had pretty good service the couple times I’ve ordered. Delivery could be a little faster, but other than that good food and fair(ish) prices!

We’re new to Chesapeake and decided to try Hunan Wok. We ordered lemon chicken, sesame chicken, and fried dumplings. Both chicken dishes were over cooked so bad that they tasted like cardboard. The lemon chicken was just flattened chicken, breaded, and fried with the lemon sauce separate. The sesame chicken’s sauce wasn’t that bad, but sadly the chicken was so overcooked that it didn’t matter. The dumplings were bland and looked as they were boiled and then set in a pan to «fry» on one side. They forgot the white rice with the lemon chicken, but the food was so bad we didn’t bother going back for it. The fried rice with the sesame chicken tasted like sand. The only thing good about our order were the egg rolls.

I enjoy the friendly people. The rice is never dry, and the meat is never soggy. They deliver pretty quickly.
