Probably the most expansive buffet in town. I’ve been to the big ones that I won’t name but one is in Norfolk, a few in VA Beach. The style is no different. Low lighting, comfy seats, lots of people, and all the food you can eat. We like the sushi here particularly, but honestly the dim sum is great, the Mongolian BBQ is fresh. The food coming out on a Sunday afternoon is an amazing sight. Plus I see many of my friends there every time I go!

Place smells like feet. The food is what you would expect for the price, but I just felt dirty when eating there. The carpet smells like moldy feet. The tables were sticky as well. I was thinking to myself,“I wander which thing here is going to get me sick” that due to the smell and the fact that the employees refill the bins like they are dealing with dog crap rather than food people are paying for. Throwing the bin in place while tossing the serving spoon in my face. Damn, food should not be treated like your dealing with cow manure. Kinda makes you wander… Price is good for a reason and that’s that.

Crazy buffet. The name says it all. Want some chicken wings? They got it. In the mood for crawfish? Got that too. What about some bacon wrapped crab stick or some fresh made sushi? Yep! This buffet literally has everything. Sushi was good. The bacon wrapped crab sticks were super good. Orange chicken and general spo chicken was hot and juicy. There was a lady with a Walky talky that went around and would radio to the kitchen the next thing they needed to bring out so the bars were constantly being refilled. The Mongolian bbq was absolutely disgusting though. No one cleaned the Bar area up so there was food that fell into other foods spots. Food that fell into the sauces just everything was all messy and dirty and the guy that was working the grill didn’t clean between patrons. The grill was filthy. So gross. Also, your server never comes around to refill glasses and take dirty plates. But if you’re in the mood for a buffet this one is pretty legit. I didn’t find a cockroach in my chicken like the last buffet on Virginia beach BLVD by military highway I went to.

They have a very large layout and selection of food. We’ve been going pretty regularly since moving out of our area near our preferred buffet. This has been great. I personally think the Min Chi, Mac and cheese, shrimp dumplings, miso soup and sushi are solid staples to get when I’m there. Haven’t tried any deserts yet though.

There are so many foods to choose from. Chinese food, hibachi station, sushi, and Phở. My favorite is the hibachi station because I get to choose the noodles and all the toppings I want. I like how we get to see them cook it in front of you. The prices aren’t that bad either. The place is nice and clean, compared to other Asian buffets I’ve been to.

This is an amazing buffet. I drove all the way from VA Beach. I’ve been once before and just remember it being really good so we came back. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait. We had a party of 9 and were seated right away. The food: They have the most diverse selection of food and the thing that’s sets them apart is a huge selection of seafood as well as all the normal Asian buffet options. My fave food here is the pepper shrimp. Never had anything like it before and it’s worth the trip. A person in the group that didn’t eat meat had many options. I can’t comment on the hibachi as I’ve never had it but the line was long. I didn’t try and dessert but there was a vast amount of options. Hands down this is the best Asian buffet in the area

Completely gross! Such a waste of money. There were four of us for dinner and not one of us enjoyed our meal. My kids didn’t even want dessert. I spent $ 55 on food that was barely edible.

My dad is Crazy about this chinese Buffet! I usually come here with the fambam just bc of my dad. For its price and an all you can eat buffet, it’s very worth it. You can choose from so many options, from hibachi, phở, chinese, american, seafood, sushi and much more! My dad and I honestly come here for the cheap seafood, from shrimp, crawfish, fish, whole crabs to crab legs(I come for the crab legs hehe and their coconut shrimp yum) I use to not be too happy about their crab legs since they would steam it and put it on ice but now they recently started to steam it and put it on the steam table(Yay, finally!) I think I get my money’s worth or even more just by eating crab legs for sure!(Don’t get me wrong it’s not like Captain George’s crab legs though, womp). Oh, also sometimes there are lines just for the wait of crab legs during the weekend(10 – 20 minutes wait) Customer service is pretty good here, waitresses are very attentive and kind. PRO– Hot Crab legs finally, so much food to choose from, very clean restaraunt, and customer service was great. So much space and they also have a party room if you like to have big party groups. CONS– Some food weren’t that fresh, and long wait for crab legs and other dishes to come out. A recent visit one lady was cleaning the counter off and basically flung the stuff off into my jeans and feet.(I said excuse me maam, she looks at me like she didn’t do anything wrong) Overall, I do recommend this place out if you want a good variety of food to choose from.

The restaurant is huge. You never have to wait. They have a huge selection: crabs legs in the weekend, Habachi, soups, steamed & fried seafood, sushi, dim sum, & desserts. I question the freshness of the sushi since whenever I go there they have a huge selection of sushi out & fish should never be left out. The food is always quite seasoned, however some food such as dumplings seem to be a bit over cooked. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive.

I went to Crazy Buffet and Grill this evening with two friends. After we left we decided that the name should be «You’d Have To Be Crazy To Come Here Buffet and Grill». We were there on a Saturday evening. There were about 8 people in the entire place. That should have been our first clue. Being vegetarian, I would have thought there would be more to eat. I(hand to God) had about 6 green beans, two slices of cold potatoes, one fried cheese stick, about a tablespoon of mac and cheese, and about a tablespoon of warm, sticky, dry rice. Another friend of mine had some chicken and a little bit of salad. She had to go to the lady’s room to spit out her chicken. The other friend had some chicken and rice. We all agreed that the best part of the meal was the soft drinks we had. When we got to the cashier you could have knocked us over with a feather when we were told that the total for our meal was over $ 40! I always try to find something nice to say about a restaurant’s cooking. But there was nothing good about«CRAZY Buffet and Grill». Stay away from this place at all costs. Better to head across the parking lot to Shoney’s.

I have very little complaints about the this place. The food selection is plentiful and absolutely delectable. The hibachi chefs are very skilled and from time to time(if you ask nicely) some of them can perform little tricks while they prepare your food. The servers, host and chefs are super friendly! I have never been an asian buffet that prepares crayfish to my liking… Until I came here. It’s to die for! NICEANDZESTY! Okay. So why the four star rating? Well… I’m not a fan of the bathroom. Particularly the ladies… I never been the men’s room. Apparently their plumbing is a bit wonky. So you have to flush once every two minutes… That doesn’t always bode well for people who have to go after certain trifling guest. Almost wrecked my appetite. If they every get a better plumbing system or just better lous then okay. I’ll bump it up into five.

Took our family of five for an early dinner just after 4pm. Friday night early so it wasn’t not overcrowded. I was very skeptical reading some of the reviews but my 12 yo went before with a friend and really wanted to go. The selection is very expansive. Our favorite by far was the hibachi. Excellent selection of items on the hibachi to choose from. The staff was friendly but didn’t speak much. Other than the hibachi some of our favorite items were the peppered chicken, beef and broccoli, and the steamed dumplings. Even my picky 2&10 yo are very well. We will be back.

Cheap price, huge place, lots of selection. What can I say? Filipinos love their Chinese buffets. Not more to it. Lol. The hibachi is pretty good, the other food is standard Chinese buffet, nothing out of the ordinary.

I first reviewed Crazy Buffet a couple of years ago just after they opened for business, now it’s time for an update. I still make the occasional visit here because it’s very close to my home and is still a solid choice for an Asian buffet however I no longer consider it the best Asian buffet in Hampton Roads. That honor goes to Yukai Japanese Buffet in Virginia Beach. After being open for business over two years now the restaurant is still kept clean and the staff is still very attentive and friendly. I’ve never had my drink glass completely empty before being offered a refill and when we get up from the table to fill another plate the old plates have always been removed when we return to the table. My wife and I ate here last night and found the restaurant surprisingly busy for a Monday evening. The sushi items were kept fresh and plentiful throughout our visit, I appreciated they maintained the tempura sushi which often runs out quickly and doesn’t get replenished. A highlight was a new item, chicken tenders. I wasn’t expecting much because the chicken wings are pretty ho hum but the tenders were surprisingly fresh, hot and tasty. The skin wasn’t exactly crispy but the tenders were very moist. The fried shrimp were absolutely delicious, breaded just right and lightly fried. The same goes for the fried fish, really fresh and delicious. The hibachi steak bites were delicious as well, very tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed some very nice and moist baked fish and my wife just raved about the steamed flounder. The flounder is very popular so it is constantly being replenished which makes it always hot and fresh. The egg rolls last night were actually quite good considering they have historically not been very exciting. Most of the standard asian dishes were okay, not exciting but tasty enough. Oh, I forgot about the blue crabs. They were outstanding last night. They were steamed and cut in half and I couldn’t believe how big and meaty they were, my wife couldn’t stop eating the delicious delicacy. We didn’t get anything from the hibachi grill or soup station last night but they are always filled with fresh and delicious items and the chefs consistently turn out delicious food. They had a fairly long line there last night so obviously they are doing something right here. Now for a few negatives. They just don’t do a good job of keeping the slower moving items fresh but instead allow them to languish on the buffet until they are stale and unappealing. Last night the french fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, sauteed green beans and pizza were simply inedible. I bit into an onion ring and actually could not chew it because it was so tough. The french fries were eventually freshened but the old stale fries were not removed, they simply mixed them in with the fresh. Not ideal. The other items were never replaced while we were there. Soups, not so great. The New England clam chowder and the hot and sour soups had developed a layer of scum on the top and the wonton soup looked very old and unappetizing. I usually enjoy the soups but there was no way I was going to try them last night, they were just too unappealing. Over all, Crazy Buffet is still a good choice for an Asian buffet with a lot of good food. It’s also a great place for large groups with its many separate dining areas. If they would just pay greater attention to keeping everything fresh on the buffets I would give them back the fourth star I gave them a couple of years ago but as it stands now they are a solid three star buffet. They are A-OK but have considerable room to improve.

First, the sushi does not taste good to me at all. The rice was dry, and it just tasted soggy like an hour of soaked cereal. The sushi just sits under the light for a long period of time. It’s not fresh and tastes weird. However there’s a few things over there that tasted pretty good. The coconut shrimp was sweet and bomb diggity. There’s only a few buffets I go to and this wasn’t one of them. I only came because my family digs this place a lot. Honestly, I only get crab legs and oysters when I go to buffets just because most of the entrees are drenched in oil and grease. And usually for dessert I grab an ice cream and fruit. Keeping it real for all y’all buffet lovers.

Visiting plenty of Chinese Buffets or buffets in general, this place is one to visit. Visiting on a Dec Saturday at 3pm the place was busy. Lunch ran until 3:30pm for $ 7.49 adult, they offer kids /elderly /Military discounts so be sure to ask. see Unilocal for more reviews on this location. They have food choices from fried dishes, pizza, sushi, kimchi, hibachi, noodle soup bowl station, American Style Chinese dishes, and deserts with several types of ice cream products to choose from. All items appeared fresh and replaced often. Overall a clean environment with staff removing the finished dishes. If you found this helpful tick the useful button below. Thanks

This is one of the biggest buffets I have ever been to! I spoke with one of hosts, and he stated that the former occupant was a Food Lion. This restaurant is very spacious and has plenty of seating available. We were seated immediately on a Sunday for their lunch buffet which I think was $ 15 on the weekends which seems a bit high but the food variety, quality and offering, the price was justified. This buffet has the following types of food: Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, American and Italian, so basically your typical buffet but there was a larger variety and it tasted better than some places I have been to. There’s a Phở station as well if you wanted some vermicelli noodles or udon noodles but you can’t really customize it to your liking. They also had a good assortment of sushi, desserts, Chinese fare such as Dim sum and the ever popular honey walnut shrimp which was delicious but they also had your standard Chinese American offerings as well like fried rice and lo mein. The service was the only bad thing that I could say about this place as it took really long for our plates to be cleaned up and that’s with the plates piling on top of each other near the edge of the table. I can understand if they were a little busy but I saw the waitresses just standing around and talking to each other. They also have a Hibachi grill here as well and you can pick your ingredients and they will cook your meal to order. As far as buffets go, this one stands above the rest and I would recommend going here.

I’m really surprised that this place didn’t have very good reviews. Maybe they’ve improved since then? I tried a couple other places around here that had 4 star reviews and it was terrible. Honestly, I thought this place was good, for a buffet with the price being $ 11 for dinner, you get more than your moneys worth at this location. I went on a busy Friday night, that’s how you ensure that the food is just a little bit fresher instead of sitting out all day. You’ll notice that this place is HUGE. The size of a a market, and it was seriously packed. We had to take numbers and it was a 20 minute wait. They had all the typical«asian buffet» foods, sushi, hibachi grill, udon, phở noodle soup, and seafood bar. And most of them we’re actually pretty good, not like most places where I take one bite of each variety and throw away. I really judge on seafood, they had plentiful amounts constantly coming out, and they were good! The steamed crabs were big and packed, the snow crab legs were big, and fresh raw oysters and clams. I probably went through 4 – 5 plates of crab alone. If you’re looking for tons of variety and loads of seafood I’d say this is the move.

Now from my previous hibachi grill review, ya’ll already know how I feel about going to hibachi grill; however, my family for whatever reason loves them and they keep planning family gatherings at them. The first time I went here actually wasn’t that bad; however, it was the second time that made me want to never come back. The first time I went was for a family gathering on a Saturday from 4 – 7. Service was pretty good, I was also a fan of their variety; however, I only really cared for three of their dishes: the black pepper chicken, the coconut shrimp, and the mei fun. I thought it was an alright establishment overall; however, I wasn’t an experience that made me have to come back. My family liked it so much they planned another gathering the following week at the same time. Here’s where the issues came. The waitress told us that the 4 – 7 time was over at 6:25 and was rudely rushing us to get out. She was saying that«everybody in the establishment knew that 3 hours wasnt really 3 hours, and they had to make room for more groups that were coming in.» But the previous week we stayed for the full 3 hours and there wasn’t an issue. I don’t not like being rushed out when I’m paying money to eat. As we were leaving my stomach began to feel funny too. Something from the buffet made me sick and have to use the bathroom for the next few days. Upon leaving the second time I also saw cockroaches moving around and falling through cracks in the floor. I was throughly disgusted and I will not be back here to eat again.

I brought my daughter here and three of her friends. They had a great time and had lots of food items to choose from. I chose the option of having my food prepared for me on the grill. Unfortunately, the person who had their meal prepared next to mine had some of their selected meats accidentally mixed in with my food by the chef. I didn’t like having to pick the meat out of my food. My meal off the grill was a little bland and I had to add more flavor to it. One thing the girls mentioned was that there was meat in the pancit noodles at the buffet bar and the only other option was the vegetable lo mein noodles. They did not want to wait in line to have their meal prepared so I’d recommend having vegetable pancit as an option. I would also recommend more sautéed or grilled vegetable items that do not contain any meat or meat sauce.
