Pho 79

I’ve been wanting to try phở for a very long time now so my boyfriend and I decided to try it today for the first time for lunch. I must say it was a new and different experience and very delicious. Phở 79 was very clean and the service was fast and friendly. I ordered the app size phở with steak. (The number 4). My boyfriend got the large size steak with meatballs. (The Number 2). We so added hoisin sauce to ours to bump up the flavor a little bit. The addition of bean sprouts and lime really added that little extra something to both dishes. We also ordered the shrimp spring rolls that came with an excellent tasting peanut sauce for dipping. That was so good! We both shared a coconut boba drink and had water with the meal. All told our order came to around $ 23.00 which we thought was reasonable. We will definitely go back again.

I’ve been coming here for several years now and will continue to return for good food, reasonable prices and a full belly!

I needed some fast, fresh and healthy food… and I was craving homemade soup. This fit the bill perfectly. I got the soup «to go» to see what it would look like and it was beautifully prepared with all kinds of options including amazing basil… Even a wedge of lime. Good job guys. I’ll be back

I visited here for the first time while on a business trip. The fresh spring rolls were exceptional and the peanut sauce was very tasty. The phở #2 had a great flavor and even the appetizer sized bowl was pretty filling. I loved the mango bubble tea and thought the service was fast and very pleasant. Overall, this was a great experience!

Always a great experience when dining here! This restaurant chain is clean, modern, and non-​intimidating if you’re a first timer. I love bringing friends here that have never had phở before, and they always love it! Their service is always good, as well.
I always get the same thing: a small #4 Phở Tái, Nam Gau. I’m not too fond of stuff like tendon and bible tripe, so I get this one, which includes round steak, flank, and brisket. If this is your first time having phở, I would recommend that you try this one. I like to add lots of Sriracha and extra extra limes to my bowl, and it’s perfect.
The small is usually the perfect size for me. I can finish the whole bowl and leave feeling disgustingly full (in a good way, of course). We usually make our way somewhere we can walk it off, as to not fall into a eternal food coma. It’s real close to Greenbrier Mall, Target, Oak Grove Lake Park. you’ve got your options! lol
They serve boba tea too (sometimes). It seems like every other time I ask, they’re out of tapioca!

Fast service, great portions. We used to go to Phở Delat in Greenbrier but started to go to Phở 79 when Phở Delat got stingy on the portions and upped the price.

I went here with my family to visit my friend John who works here. I wouldn’t say the phở here is my favorite, but I enjoy all the other dishes! My dad got the com dac biet and I think my mom got the bun ga nuong. We had the egg rolls as an appetizer and it all was pretty tasty. I’ll have to come back here to try more of their rice dishes! :)

I was craving Bahn Mi and I haven’t tried this spot before. This place is very spacious and great customer service. I wanted bahn mi but also I was debating for phở. They have tripe here for the phở!!! Heck yes! Luckily I came in time for the lunch special for the lunch combo of a small appetizer size phở and a bahn mi sandwich for ONLY $ 8.50! You can’t beat that! I surely was not disappointed by the bahn mi. I got the grilled pork and at first when it got to the table, it didn’t look like there was much inside. I finally took a bite and omg… The bread was incredibly crispy and warm and the grilled pork was very flavorful! I added sriracha sauce for a little kick. It was so yummy I had to order another one to-​go! The boba drinks are pretty good. And surprisingly– Vietnamese restaurants are usually family owned. I was surprised to see black and white people working here. That’s awesome! I’ll definitely be here again and would definitely recommend to many others!

Heck yea! They’ve added make you own bowl soup options. Well worth another Star… bringing them to the Big 5 – 0 in my book.

I went to dinner here with a friend to catch up for old time’s sake. It was a great atmosphere for chatting. Service was fine on this slow evening. I never had Vietnamese phở before, and I was very impressed! Great for first timers!

The food was good. The #9 is my favorite. I gave it a 3 today because the service was unfortunately, poor. The booth next to us was getting cleaned and the cleaner was overpowering and lingered on for quite a bit of time. Our drinks never were refilled and we were never checked up on unless we waved to get the waiters attention, and waving seems rude to do. My friend ordered a Thai tea when we first ordered our food, but she never got it until she spoke up and asked where it was. I would come here again, but the service needs improvement.

Our family favorite. I love the lunch combos because I can only handle an appetizer bowl anyways, and the fam loves egg rolls and spring rolls. Only thing we did ‘t like was that on the pictures if shows you can get one egg roll and one spring roll instead of 2 of one kind, but the waiter said it’s only a picture, we couldn’t request that. Then we couldn’t substitute other kinds of noodle bowls for phở despite it being the same price. Idk nothing major. Service is always fast and friendly though! Phở is delicious here too.

The food is good, but they do make mistakes with the orders. I ordered a Phở with beef, tendons and brisket, but I only got beef. They corrected it by giving me an extra bowl of the other ingredients. The waiter also forgot to bring me the vegetables and only after reminding him a couple of times, did he actually bring them. Once I got everything, the Phở tasted very good and the prices were reasonable. The Phở was comparable to the ones I had on my recent visit to Hanoi and Saigon (Ho Chi Min city).
Service and cleanliness are definitely not their strong points: the tables and chairs were sticky to the point that I had to wipe the seats off to avoid sticking to them.

Good phở! Got phở #9, will get all beef phở next time. Service is good, its a fast food restaurant style, they will take your order serve you then go back up front, so just make sure to order what you want. We will be back!

I should have tried Phở 79 a long time ago, I drove past it from leaving Sam’s Club many times.
Tonight I had the Phở Dac Biet, very flavorful, and great textures to this noodle soup. Our waiter Danny was knowable in the menu and a great server. I must go back and try there «Sizzling Entrees» sounds great!

They have variety of Phở noodles. I like my phở noodle with Asian hot sauce. They have other than phở noodle too. Very clean inside and good customer service too.

I have been coming here for six years and not stopping any time soon!
I craved phở when I was pregnant with my eldest son, so my loving husband brought me here all the time! What is funny now is that my five year old son loves phở! He loves it sooooo much and a kids’ size is too small. Depending on his appetite, he can finish am adult small or large!
Not only is their phở delicious, but their other noodle dishes, rice dishes and sandwiches are too. Did I mention that they have bubble tea? It’s pretty much oriental smoothies with tapioca. It’s delicious! I highly recommend this Tai tea and Honeydew flavor! My husband, our two kids and I each have to have our own, it’s too good to share.

It was just ok. The best part were the servers, very upbeat and quick. And the atmosphere, as with the other location I’ve been to in NN, is more polished than what’s typical of Vietnamese restaurants.
The phở itself was just «meh.» I had the #5, which I’d ordered at the NN location and remembered being much better. The broth was just pretty bland and the round steak was puny and not the least bit tender. Luckily a heavy helping of hoisin made it decent. The price for a small bowl ($ 8.50) was also more than I’ve previously paid. The spring rolls were good, and as I said, the service was awesome.

This is the first place that I ever tried phở. The broth is simply delicious. The service at Phở 79 is top notch. My favorite waiter is a Filipino guy named John, he is always on top of things and is super friendly. When I go there with my wife, we ask for him.
One bummer about 79 is that the delicious broth is delicious because it has MSG in it. Unfortunately, I’m allergic to MSG. I can’t blame 79 for using MSG because it makes food taste good. Now when I go, I get the skewers of meat (see picture). The meat skewers come with a mound of white rice and some freshly cut cucumbers and tomatoes. I love all three meats (chicken, pork, and beef) but my favorite is the pork. The meal comes with fish sauce, I personally don’t care for that, so I ask for the soy sauce/​chili paste mixture. It tastes unreal with the skewers and rice.
Highly recommend!

I’m not really a very big fan of phở, but my family loves it and so does my boyfriend. So I’ve found myself here on several occasions. I have to say that this would definitely be my top choice for phở.
Everything I’ve had has been pretty good. The portions of very big and very filling. I have always left stuffed and satisfied. They have a variety of different things that are all very good.
Everyone who works there is very nice. The food came out quick, and our servers were polite. I never met anyone there who wasn’t friendly.
I really enjoy this place, and I never mind going out for phở if the restaurant of choice is here.
