Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming, and the coffee and food are always great. Cheshire is so lucky to have this place!

I enjoy a good cup of coffee, something I can count on at Main Street! The owners and staff are friendly and efficient. The muffins, breakfast sandwiches and wraps are among my favorite food items. great prices and tasty.

Owner is quite rude and unfriendly. Constantly nags you to buy something if you try to hang around for a while and do work. This has happened on multiple occasions and sometimes within just 5 or so minutes after sitting down. As someone who frequents this shop on a regular basis, I’m upset by the fact that the desire to make an immediate short term sale is more important than long term customer retention. Clearly has little knowledge of customer service and makes an otherwise beautiful, cozy independent coffee shop feel rather unwelcoming. Truly a shame

Great place! The coffee and food are delicious and the staff is so friendly. They also carry really nice handcrafted jewelry.

Good food. Hurrying to close to staff was still nice enough. Tuna salad was very good. Gluten free options were nice. Mac and cheese was good as well as Cesar salad.

Since moving to Cheshire about a year ago, I have gone to Main Street Café maybe 15 – 20 times(decent food, great bubble tea), but after the experience I had today, I am unlikely to return. I was passed over at the ordering counter for a «regular» customer that the cashier knew by name, and then two other«regulars» were served their food before me, even though I had ordered first(I was just getting a breakfast sandwich, and one of the other orders was huge). Maybe I don’t look like a typical Cheshire resident, or maybe the owners are happy with their current level of business. Either way, I’m going to be a «regular» in this town for the next 30 years so I am sure I will find other, better places that are happy to have ALL their customers.

Cute little coffee shop in the middle of the ‘Shire. Decent price list, and my mom likes bolder coffee so we ordered her a dark roast which she loved. I had a infused iced tea which was deliiish. I get confused by the atmosphere here, because there is a lot of random things going on. They sell little knickknacks, mugs, hair accessories etc– random for a coffee joint. All of the staff is nice, and the coffee is great. I have never had their food selections, so I can’t attest to those.

Got the Crispy Chicken BLT, Chicken quesadilla wrap, kid’s grilled cheese, broccoli cheddar soup, strawberry smoothie, and 2 ice coffees dark roast. BLT and wrap were both awesome! Perfect for our tastebuds and a late lunch. I didn’t try the grilled cheese myself but my kids polished off the grilled cheese and fought over the broccoli cheddar soup. As a mom, I can tell you this is big if my children voluntarily eat veggies especially broccoli! Coffee is not as dark or strong as I’m used to, but that’s ok. Strawberry smoothie was a bit too sweet for my liking but did appreciate that they split it into two cups for the kids to share! Staff was friendly and patient as we fumbled over our order. We would definitely go back! And by the way, thanks for the great first time experience!

It’s not expensive, but I’d still say that Main Street is kind of over priced for small, pretty simple sandwiches. The coffee isn’t great either. I’m not sure if its the beans or if its just been left out too long. There are better options for both coffee and sandwiches nearby so I can’t say I would come back here.

What I like the most about this place is the staff. Linda and the girls are so friendly and the sandwiches are so good, you know there made love. I personally love to people watch and this place has a great atmosphere because of the interesting characters that walk through here.

Absolutely amazing. Looked like a diner on the outside, but the inside is cozy and welcoming. Hot chocolate is great, as well as the coffee and cookies.

Free chips and cookie with sandwich or wrap order. Super relaxing atmosphere with comfy chairs near fireplace. Great for meeting friends/coworkers. If they were organic It would be my favorite place around. Staff are friendly! They sell local nicknacks and accessories. There are a few outlets, but not alot.

One of the worlds best coffee machines terrible coffee coming out of it. A real shame, a nice environment and seemingly friendly people. Spend big bucks on the machine and not practice being a good barista. COMEON!

After being spoiled by great coffee shops in CA it sure was refreshing to find such a high quality shop in our old CT stomping grounds. The coffee is great, the space is ample and comfortable, and the staff are all really friendly. I was impressed by the value and quality of the lunch, evidenced by one heck of a grilled cheese sandwich, soup, and chips. I will definitely be back next time we’re in town!

This is place is amazing! The staff is great and the owners are amazing. With this in place, the selection and quality of food cannot be beat! I had a sausage, egg and cheese on a Cheese Bagel… AMAZING! I highly suggest this to anyone. Now the restaurant itself seemed like home! You have a choice of relaxing on the comfortable couches next to the fireplace or sit down at the tables. It was very lively when I visited and you can feel the Cheshire spirit, such a good time! Thank you to the staff for the amazing experience!!!

I work in Cheshire 5 days a week and I’ll have to honestly say this is one of the better lunch spots! They usually have a couple seasonal dishes so the menu is always changing which is a positive the food is relatively simple yet You get large fresh healthy and delicious portions of whatever you order! the soups are always good and the seafood wrap you can never go wrong with!

I will not be going here again. I had the option of here or a large chain coffee store, and I chose to give the local guy business, next time I’ll go with the large chain. I ordered a strawberry-banana smoothie, under the assumption they’d use fresh fruit. Wrong! They used syrup and who knows what else. The color was red, the flavor was piña colada, the trash can got the rest. Also ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on multigrain. It was flavorless, and I had to add salt. At least the coffee was good, which is why it’s 2 stars and not 1. Go for coffee, leave before ordering anything else.

I had a disappointing experience on my first visit when ownership/name changed from Greenwich Coffee to Main Street Café. However, I have been back to the locations several times since and have been extremely impressed each and every time. It is, without a doubt, the best place in CT to get coffee/espresso. My favorite aspect is their seasonal selections of fancy caffeinated drinks. I highly recommend an Iced Carmel Apple Latte with Soy, during fall. The staff is also very welcoming and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The prices are very reasonable and you can get a sandwich, pickle, chips, and a cookie for a mere $ 5(tasty, as well). Also, the soup is homemade, how can you get any better?!

I will never go here. I’ve gotten orders that are wrong(with a fight from the actual owner of the establishment). The employees don’t really care about you(unless they know you) and their food is okay, it really is nothing special especially for the prices they charge. The coffee is not worth it, I would rather go to Cheshire Coffee. And for lunch/breakfast, Michael’s Deli in the center of town, Bagelicious or Shef’s Bagels are the places to go.

Our go to place for a quick lunch and coffee! We really like to come here and enjoy the ambiance. Wish we could the folk behind the counter to smile more. The choices are varied and prices reasonable.
