This was a confusing experience. First the GREAT: the beer. Although I wasn’t drinking, my beer-snob, craft-beer-loving other half was thrilled with the beer. The GOOD: the food. That may be where the«funky» comes in. Similar to tapas, the 4 of us shared several plates. The salads were fresh with unique ingredients. The burgers were hits with the guys. The wontons were the same as the gyoza I had in Japan, except with edamame inside. All very tasty. Our gluten-intolerant party member(recently diagnosed with celiac disease) thoroughly enjoyed the grilled cheese with bacon and onion, made with gluten-free bread. The NICE: the server was nice. The problem for me. As stated, I wasn’t drinking. When I first sat down I was offered water. After that, I was never offered a non-alcoholic beverage — actually, my other half was served a beer while I was in the restroom and I was never asked if I wanted a beer or anything else. There were no beverages listed on the menu. There was a wine menu and a beer menu. I might have missed the non-alcoholic selections. Since I’m critiquing the server, again, she was nice, well dressed, VERY pleasant but in the interest of improvement she only had a few tables and was not scanning them. I wanted to see the menu again for another order and I stared a blue streak trying to get her attention. Even the«chef» came out of the kitchen and I stared at her. COULDNOTMAKEEYECONTACT. The server appeared to be busy taking care of duties behind the counter — she was obviously doing tasks associated with her position, no sign of a cell phone, no hanging out, she was working. But just not really working the tables. So when it was time to grab the check I wasn’t going to play that game twice and just walked over to the bar. The décor is sparse, tables small and spare. We had trouble with 4 of us,(none of us small people) beverages, several plates, candle, menu being at one café table. However the board games are awesome! We saw several parties come and go and there were people playing games! Lots of hard edges to the room and barely audible music made the ambiance sort of non-existent.The clatter of Jenga made us all look to the players as if a glass were broken. We appreciated the ability to talk without yelling, make no mistake. The CONFUSION: there’s a full menu listed online with smoothies(I would have had one of those) and other choices that we looked forward to trying. No sign of that. The limited menu(albeit tasty) probably wouldn’t have lured us in. But the beer will bring us back! Looking forward to giving this one another star after another visit!

Awesome little place! The only thing that bothered me, they served these tiny little cocktails and charged $ 12.00. Food and music was great, the markup on everything is just crazy. You do not get much for the price you pay.

I discovered the FM when our Irish session group was looking for a nice, local place to share our tunes one night a week. After just a few minutes chatting with the owner Tracey, I realized we’d found our spot! Though its a bit out of the way in the Watch Factory shops, it is certainly worth the trip. With craft beers, tapas and an «artsy»(meaning that in the Best sense) atmosphere, one can enjoy an excellent meal in a cozy, lounge like setting. Two very enthusiastic Thumbs Up!

Awesome little bar in a quiet area. Atmosphere is unique-small bar for those that don’t want a crazy atmosphere. Beer and wine choices are quality and unique but you’re always able to find something you like. Music, comedy, and entertainment on certain nights. Owner is the definition of an excellent small business owner serving the community.

Hands down, my favorite place to hang out in Cheshire! Relaxed vibe, cool lighting, eclectic seating– but the food and drink keeps me coming back! The Beef Short Rib Sliders are out of this world! Pairs perfectly with a Dirty Bastard(beer). The staff is lovely and welcoming, every time I’m there. Come early to eat and drink– and stay for the GREAT live music. A gem in our little town…
