Hooters

Just stopped for dinner. We love Hooters wings and have stopped here several other times and service was slow but tonight was a record. Tonight we ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entries. One was a salad. The onion rings came in about 10 minutes but after 45 minutes still no other food had appeared. Our waitress apologized said they were on there way. We waited another 10 minutes and decided to settle the bill and leave. No manager ever came by to check on any of the patrons Probably won’t go back to this location again. Surprised because this isn’t how Hooters normally operates.

Service was good, took a little while for everyone to get their food but when it arrived it was fresh and well. We will come back again for sure.

Awful service, food was less than meh, and the beer was flat. Had to ask for silverware 10 mins after getting food. (since its Hooters girls were indeed pretty cute)

Something not right here. Was missing the upidee up with the waitress and bartender. The atmosphere wasn’t right or maybe the whole inside just needs to be updated. I went on a Tue night, not too busy. Wings were great and on point as usual.

Place is not bad, it really just depends on the waitress you get. Food is ok and prices are pretty good.

My husband and I have been to several Hooters in Richmond, VA and Atlanta, GA. I’ve always enjoyed our visits, good food, friendly waitresses, cold beer. But the Hooters in Chester, VA was just bad. We went on a Saturday afternoon. The place was practically empty which was a bit surprising. Our hostess seemed less than enthused to be there and wasn’t dressed in the typical hooters outfit. We told her we wanted to be seated where we could watch the golf game and she said she could switch the tv in front of us to that channel. Great! Our waitress was pleasant enough and the first obese Hooters waitress I have ever seen, which we chalked up to the location. It took awhile to get our beers and she said she was waiting on the bar for that, though they had a few patrons, they didn’t seem overwhelmed. She finally came back and said that the beer my husband ordered was out. We got our first order of wings (911 sauce) and the wings were cooked ok, but just ok. The 911 sauce was a bit of a disappointment but that is probably just us. We like hot, hot sauce. The waitress and the hostess spend most of the time chatting up 2 guys that might have been regulars, who pointed to the TV and then the hostess switched the station from the golf we were watching to another channel that was playing on several of the other TVs. Overall, a disappointing trip and I doubt we’ll go back to that Hooters.

Hooter give you wings. I had the wing platter, my boneless wings were almost as cold as the beer. Great place for beer and socializing, disappointment if you are hungry.

Awesome Manager. Miliitary-​friendly. Very professional, accommodating and very helpful in assisting us get our Pacquiao fight tickets.

I really don’t want to waste too much time on this visit, it was uneventfully bad.
The dining room was fine and typical Hooters. Lots of TV’s which are always a hit.
Went in on a weekday evening, it had brisk business. However, it was not packed out. I went to the bar to expedite since I needed to be out in 30 min if possible. The bar still needed to be cleared and wiped down. It took around 10 minutes to get waited on and I was told a couple of times by the female bartender that she would be right with me. I should have left at that point.
Area was cleared and wiped down and she left without getting order in. She came back and I finally put in my order of wings and a beer. Another 10 minutes later the beer comes out and seems flat. However, the bartender never comes around to check on me and I just leave it alone. The crowd is diminishing around me and by this time it had been around 20 minutes. I asked about the wings and was told the kitchen was backed up. I am starved and pissed at this point and just want my wings and get out of there. I did not even care about the view of the wait staff, I wanted food!
My tray of 12 wings came out around 35 – 40 min into the visit. In my opinion way too long. The wings were good and I enjoyed them. The waitress never followed up with me to check and see if I needed anything. Extra ranch, napkins and a water would have been asked for, but I could never ask since she was never around. By the time she did check on me I was done and had my credit card out… this was around an hour into the visit.
I usually stay in a hotel just across the street, but I have never been to the location of Hooters and will not plan to ever again.

This used to be a friendly place to go after work. recently there has been a management change, the new GM is constantly yelling at the girls to pick up food which overpowers the music and TVs. The staff seems unhappy which is a direct result of poor management. When I go to Hooters I want friendly staff and conversation. The quality of food at hooters is low to begin with, I can wait a few extra minutes in exchange for better customer interaction. I’ve noticed a reduction in waitresses and less customers. I hope the owners take notice and bring back the previous management!

Horrible service… Wait for my food for over an hour and never even got my appetizer… Waitress ran out of the restaurant, then about 20 minutes later another server came over to check on us. I let her know that we had been waiting for almost an hour and had not even got our appetizer then she said she would go and check, then she walked right by our table and never came back.

After not having stepped foot in one of these establishments in at about five years I’m not surprised.
The gal behind the bar was attentive and nice. She had the voice of a thousand angels scraping their nails on a chalk board. «Dear god, please don’t ask me anything» I found myself thinking.
Instead of wings that I remember being awful I went for the «Baja Burger.»
I wasn’t expecting all of the Baha to be on my end. Bland and not too flavorful.
Luckily, the drunken gentleman beside me that was shy of 50 but boldly over the line of loud and creepy kept things awkward and unenjoyable.
It boils down to one thing. People come here to stare at woman who are scantily clad. The food is shit, I don’t care how many football games are on the screens and I’m ok with another 5 year separation.
So. Boobs, butts, bad food and what’s that last thing I keep hearing woman scorn for? Oh yeah, that whole feminism hullabaloo.

First time to this Hooters in Chester, VA. Holli the host had a great smile, was friendly and had a bubbly personality. This location is a newer corporate design that concentrates more on TV’S (from my seat I could count 25), then the old style of pictures of Hooters girls and signs adorning the walls. (My favorite sign was «We even carded George Burns!) All of those are gone. Now they have a newer contemporary style of the few signs that are up. Probably to move in a more social and politically correct direction. (My new favorite sign is «Keep your Friends Close and your Beers Closer!)
For dinner, a Club Sandwich with curly fries. Sandwich was great. Bread was lightly toasted to perfection. Ordered meat cold. Overall it was a great item. One of the best clubs sandwiches in the chain! (Contemplated getting on to go to have for breakfast but the bread would become too soggy my morning)
For desert, Chocolate Mousse cake. I should have looked this up before I ordered it. I was sure this would come in under the 874 calorie Caramel Fudge Cheesecake. I was wrong. This slice comes in at a whopping 1015 calories. I checked my vitals and provided emergency call back numbers to the staff before digging in.
In true fashion I only made it half way through before raising the white flag of surrender!
The staff is friendly when they come around. Matt the manager on duty was interested in customer experience. Nice guy. Holli and Crystal were standouts and gets 5 stars. Against all other Hooters that I have been to this one is above average and gets 4 stars.

Stopped in for a quick afternoon snack. There were a few people at the bar, and 3 tables with people at them. 2 girls working, plus 1 at the bar. I waited 3 minutes standing there, before I finally just sat myself.
I girl was actually working (getting drinks), the other was sitting with a guy in the back corner. Even though she was facing the door, she was oblivious to me standing there.
I only wanted fried pickles and a coke. Guess what, no fried pickles. So, I substitute cheese sticks. I get my coke, and she goes right back to the table with the guy who at this point, I’m thinking he is her boyfriend, pimp, or both. The other girl brought out my order and then joined them at the table. I ate everything without being checked on, until I was finished.
I have had bad service before, but never have I been flat out ignored like that. I will not go back. EVER.

Wow. Let me first say that my husband and I LOVE Hooters and go often. We live in NY but did a road trip to FL to visit his parents. And we literally planned the places we stayed overnight near Hooters because we knew it would be open late and we could grab dinner before our overnight stay. So in a week’s trip, we stayed in Fredericksburg (which I’ll write a separate review of) and had mediocre wings. Had a great lunch at Daytona Beach Hooters where his folks live. Then we stayed in Chester VA on the return trip and went to the Hooters there. The place looks great on the outside, and seems new and clean inside as well with great tv’s. But when we walked in we noticed right away no «Welcome to Hooters». No management. No one in charge. No friendly anything. And we sat down and the booth next to us had 2 Hooters girls sitting and talking to the 2 guys there. Seemingly oblivious to the fact we sat down. Then another Hooters girl served the table across for us, who were settling their bill, left and she cleaned the table and sat another girl and served her. All while we were still just sitting waiting. A good 10 – 15 minutes. We looked to the bar to see if there was room there but it was crowded. Then a waitress came over and saw my husband looking to find seats at the bar. No «Would you prefer to sit there». No «Can I get you a drink, sorry for the wait». Nothing. It was the worst service I’ve ever had at a Hooters. In addition, there was a table full of what I would call trashy guys cursing left and right F this, BS that. Honestly, I couldn’t even believe it. Total trash. No manager came over. No one said a thing. It’s as like this place was just open and anything goes. What a shame. Several hotels for people like us who know the brand and gave them our time and money and what a disaster. The waitress who finally helped us disappeared several times and seemed to care less. The wings once again were mediocre. Not the crispy delicious ones we are use to. Honestly, what could have been a great stop on 95 is one we clearly have knocked off our list. Hooters needs some managers in there to improve things. But maybe they just want idiot drunk trashy guys for the clientele.

I travel for a living… not that it makes my comments anymore valid than anyone else’s I just think it is important that I base my opinions on a wealth of travel and dining experiences. So many people come here to just complain out loud, but would never think of being polite enough to let management know of their issues at the time it happens and giving the establishment the opportunity to make it right with them… remember no one is perfect, mistakes happen.
I am in the hospitality business and know what great service looks like and how a positive experience makes me feel. I sat down at the bar to see if I could catch the baseball game in progress. After traveling many hours by car and my work day not quite finished, I was exhausted, I needed a cheerful smile, a friendly conversation, some food & Beverageand let’s face it a beautiful woman to make me feel important and appreciated.
I was greeted by Jess. Jess was just what the doctor ordered… friendly, personable, a smile so beautiful and radiant it made the lights go dim in the restaurant.
the service was fantastic, the Daytona wings were cooked perfect, and the Captain and diets just right. I had to leave to make a confernece call and when I came back to finish watching the game, Jess greeted me with the same level of hospitality all over again. Thank you Jess.
Good food, good drinks and atmosphere can only do so much for an experience. Service and attitude is the key difference between one establishment and the other.
I will always make it a point to go see Jess when I am traveling through the Richmond, Virgina area.
Consumers have choices, and I will always chose to spend my hard earned money in an establishment that embraces the value of employing great people.

I’ve eaten at this location a few times and never had a problem. I’m giving them one star because the place was a mess. They are doing some sort of construction /​renovation and half the seats were blocked off. We were stuck in the back where our waitress forgot about us. The food was good just a horrible setup. I’m sure once the renovation is complete this place will go back to being the awesome hooters location I’ve visited before.

Corporate took over this location so I am sure that it is back up to standards.

Use to go here every Sunday and Monday for football a few years ago. Went here the other day with a couple friends and had a great time.
It wasn’t what it use to be because the staff were all different. The girls that used to work there knew us because we were always there. So that gave it a bit of a different feel.
I ordered a Budweiser draft, which was very tasty, 10 hot wings with ranch, and some curly fries with cheese. Curly fries with cheese were amazing as always. The wings were great tasting and breaded perfectly. I always get my wings breaded. Especially at Hooters!
I was pretty shocked to see that the ranch was a dollar. I do believe you should get one free dressing per order of ten wings but that’s just my crazy idea.
After we ate we got a couple pitchers which were on sale for 8.99 (on Sundays until 6pm I believe) which isn’t bad. Our waitress was great and friendly. She kept up on refills and always made sure we were okay.
Other than the overpriced ranch and the old feeling of being a regular being gone, I had a great time. Can’t wait to go back!

Since I was staying at the Clarion Hotel on the premises, I chose to come for lunch and see if the experience was better than the visits in 2011. I am pleased to say it was.
The Hooters Girl that served me was noticeably friendlier than others had been in previous visits. She was pleasant to me as well as those at her other tables. I looked around the restaurant and did notice a few other Hooters Girls that were interacting with tables.
The facility appears if it has been spruced up a little since last year.
I had the Wingsday platter (boneless wings and fries). Meaty chicken pieces with good flavor.
