Not much to look at from the outside. Intimate on the inside. Two large salad bars, one veggie the other seafood. Don’t fill up on the salad bars though, the entrees are very generous and we could not eat more than half.

Staff is always friendly, virgin piña colada is always my go to drink, and I always get the filet mignon as an entrée and the chocolate mousse for dessert.

OK. Honestly most of the food was quite good. BUT… When my seafood sampler plate came out, the stuffed clams, which were basically a clam on half shell with breadcrumb on top, were literally rancid. When the manager returned, she explained, and I quote… «Sometimes they forget to use clean breadcrumbs, and don’t swap out the old mix from the day(s) before». What!!! I was absolutely disgusted. What else are they reusing? Salad bar? Seafood bar? I was sick the rest of the night. Steer clear folks, or order wisely. Bleht…

Ugh, where to start. The good: every person that walked by us, besides our server, asked how the food was or how they could help. The bad: My server was AWFUL. I figure I’ll spare his name but, he rushed us to order and was very rude and abrupt. Then it made sense why he was rushing us as he ran out the restaurant without telling us he was leaving. The salad bar is so very sad. And the dressing is like water. Then to sum it up, the food is so bland it’s almost intolerable. I got the scallops which, I couldn’t even stomach. The food was so overpriced for the poor quality. Not to mention, it’s very stuffy and dark in the restaurant. I definitely will not be back.

Recently stopped in with my family. I had the rib eye daily special. The huge steak was extremely low quality. Very little meat and full of fat. It was described as having melted blue cheese and mushrooms on top but it was a big brown tasteless mess which is very hard to accomplish considering a rib eye, mushrooms and blue cheese are big tastes. My family had some pasta based dishes and stuffed shrimp which were ok. The décor is very old fashioned and the tables are close together. The wait staff is attentive. The salad bars are standard stuff, not really exciting. The shrimp and mussels are ok.

The food was outstanding! Every restaurant says they have the«best food», «the freshest food»,…etc. This is the first time I can say I agree. By far the BEST restaurant in Chester and probably the county. The restaurant was clean, the salad bar was amazing, and the filet melted in my mouth!

For a seafood restaurant I was disappointed that the New England Clam Chowder was overly creamy and I was hard pressed to find pieces of actual clams. The Caesar Salad should have had a little hint of Anchovy flavor. It tasted like someone may have held a can or jar of anchovies over the Caesar Salad, however, they forgot to open the can or jar and let some juice or anchovies onto the salad.

We did not get to try the food as we got into an argument with the waitress and her managers. The two of us came for a dinner on a Saturday night. Tried to order 1 soup and 1 appetizer for my wife and 1 dinner dish for me. As soon as we mentioned we’d share things, it went downhill. Apparently in $ 30 dinner dish they include $ 10 worth of salad bar(which I was not going to get). For«sharing» they would charge $ 10 for the«plate» and another $ 10 for the salad bar. So we would be paying $ 50 for eating $ 20 worth of food as none of us wanted the salad bar! It became so annoying .and confusing as to who allowed to eat what, that we said we’d just leave. They did not care.

My bestfriend and I was looking for a good place for seafood but not going to be so packed on Valentines. So I looked up seafood restaurants here on Unilocal and out of many reviews I saw not so many bad ones… So we decided to go and the reviews set our expectations that it was not to be judged by appearances… As we entered we were greeted promptly by 3 women who are the staff… we ordered a drink while looking over menu… So I ordered the fried shrimp platter which was very scrumptious… I was anticipating the fried cheesecake… It was so much more delicious than I ever imagined… I could have kept eating it I will be going back to Lobster Pier in Chester, NY and could use some more of that fried cheesecake!

We came here for a birthday dinner on Saturday. It was worth it. The prices are good(moderate) and the food was good. You get the salad and seafood bar included in your dinner price which is pretty cool. As for a steak and seafood restaurant the prices are good… You can even get double filet mignon on your plate for $ 35. There is even a lobster tail for kids on the kids menu… not only chicken fingers or mozzarella sticks with fries as in every other restaurant. So there is definitely something for everyone. I had a 14 oz New York Sirloin while my partner had Salmon in dill sauce. My father had a Flounder stuffed with crab meat which he said was also very good. Portions are just right to satisfy your stomach(not too much and not too little) so the dinner doesn’t over fill you. A pitcher of Sangria is $ 19 and they put little too much ice in it(a hint for the owners to improve it for next time) so it was little too watery. The wait staff(latin/spanish people) were clean and understood us well. We didn’t have to wait for the food too long. The meals arrived to the table just on time. Kids had desserts and they were very happy with their choices. We skipped the desserts and coffee this time as the dinner was more than enough for us. I live over 27 years in this area and it was the 1st time I’ve been here. But I can say we will be back for sure soon.

Ate at this restaurant because the desk clerk at the Holiday Inn said it was pretty good. I had the New York steak and Lobster. The steak was cooked well, but a little tough. The Lobster tail was a good size and steamed well. Baked potato was okay after I cut out the black spots. All the meals come with AYKE salad and seafood bar. Salad was good, a little too much mayo on the seafood bar for my taste Service was quick and courteous. Atmosphere is a little dated, but the place was clean.

Great food, excellent service. As many have mentioned the 2 salad bars are fantastic. Traditional salad bar with iceberg or Caesar salad and a seafood bar with shrimp, mussels and more. Nice hot bread with whipped butter. We ordered the Jr filet(since you get full on all the salad bar stuff!) and scallops scampi style over pasta. The filet was cooked to a perfect medium rare as requested and was super tender with great flavor. The scallops were cooked perfectly as well. I loved the scallops but I will say they had A LOT of garlic. I personally love lots of garlic but some may find it excessive. As a matter of fact we noticed the strong smell of garlic upon arrival in the parking lot. The best part of the Lobster Pier was the service. The servers were all very friendly. A casual atmosphere and warm environment. In most restaurants if your primary server is busy you’re left waiting for another drink, more bread etc until they get free. Not here. If the hostess was busy someone else quickly jumped in, if the server was busy someone else checked on us. All staff were focused on the whole dining room, not just their assigned location. To me this indicated a very well managed operation. Thank you Lobster Pier, we enjoyed the visit!

The staff are all very friendly and extremely nice. Salad bars were both very good. In particular the mussels and shrimp. Baked clams were excellent. Surf and turf was also very good. Desert had lots of great options and nothing disappointed. Would definitely go back.

I really wanted to like this restaurant because I believe in supporting local businesses. This place could be so much better if they tried a little harder in the kitchen. The staff was very friendly, and very accommodating. There are two salad bars: one with seafood and one with fresh veggies and salads. The fresh salad bar was nice, except there were no tomatoes, which is unusual. I really liked the crab salad on the seafood bar, and the cocktail sauce was thick and delicious. We were served warm crusty bread with butter, which was also nice. The meals were very disappointing. The chicken marsala had absolutely no marsala flavor, and very little flavor of any kind. It was like a bland chicken and mushrooms over dry linguini. There wasn’t even enough of the bland sauce to cover the pasta. Veal parm was also bland, with not enough cheese on top. Also not enough sauce to cover the pasta. The portion sizes were nice, so it’s just a shame that the food isn’t better. It really should be such an easy fix. Someone just needs to share these reviews with the chef.

You get what you pay for. Ordering«fresh» seafood in the middle of the woods is always a crap shoot… no pun intended. Place caters to the older early bird dinner crowd and specifically states so comically on their menu about ordering by exactly 5pm… lol. Bottom line… overpriced below pedestrian seafood… dated décor… huge menu with zero execution and 2 salad bars that stink. Sorry folks… just keep driving and go elsewhere for your seafood crave.
