Our first visit here. We ordered the«dump» or boil. Came with corn, potatoes, we added beef sausage, 1 lbs of shrimp, 1 lbs of snow crab legs. The taste of the food was ok. Seems like it was boiled in plain water. Everything had a plain taste to it. Would like to see them add seasonings when they are boiling. Our biggest problem was the amount of food for the money. 1 lbs of crab legs was 2 clusters for $ 15.99. Shrimp were extra large so we got 10 – 14 which was fine. Veggies are $ 3.99 which is basically ½ lbs of potatoes and 2 half ears of corn. Beef sausage is $ 3.99 and your lucky if it’s ½ lbs. The price that you pay definitely doesn’t justify the amount of food you get. Service was great once you get seated. It’s confusing when you walk in, your not sure if it’s seat yourself or you have to wait. No one really greets you to let you know. But once seating our server was nice and helpful. Overall we would not go back and get a boil, maybe to try something else.

First time visit. Service was very slow. waited ten minutes before even getting a menu. The heating must have been working, every one there were wearing their coats. Had to ask waitress if the heat was on. They then turned on a propane portable heater. Three stars only. The food was very good, just bad service.

This was my first experience eating at the Crab Dump. Went with my sisters and hubby for dinner and it was wonderful. Hubby and I shared the dump tray with shrimp, scallops and crab legs. It was a lot of food and very tasty. The waitress was very attentive and answered all of our questions with a smile. The music was old Motown, which we all listened to when growing up. I’d highly recommend them as a casual dining spot with good seafood. Great place to gather with friends and family and share a delicious meal.

So disappointed! This place used to have amazing fried calamari. They apparently switched to frozen and jacked the price way up. It was edible but barely. The scallops looked good but managed to taste burned while being slightly under-cooked all at the same time. I’m positive the potato salad came from Walmart. My husband got fried oysters and those were pretty good. The service wasn’t as bad as usual but I used to put up with the crappy service because I loved the food. I won’t be in any hurry to come back.

I chose the the Mr. meal, which included, 1lb of snow crab legs, 5 shrimps(jumbo), and 2 scallops. Just in case this restaurant didn’t know I love scallops, especially if it is properly cooked. The portion of food was large and delicious. My problem was the scallops. They were 2 large scallops drenched in a deep fryer grease. They were horrible. Whomever made that decision should definitely reconsider it immediately. Even with the horrible tasting scallops I still recommend this restaurant as a try, I know I will. I hope this comment serve the owners well. P. S. I’m also a generous tipper know matter what amount i spend, so hire more servers, or have the existing ones check back with customers regularly.

First time trying, good selection of seafood. We both had the fish sandwich and you know what, it was very good. Nice light breading. Mine was with onion rings which were lightly battered and fried just right. We will be coming back.

Ate here yesterday and it was like they forgot about evolution as they make you eat the crab dump like a bunch of cavemen. I was mindblown when they just put it on our table without any utensils. when we kindly asked for some they denied us and said for us to just eat it with our hands. So I guess you could say we just ¨pigged¨ it out. Anyway I felt like a 4 year old as i grabbed the food with my bare hands. The only reason why it got two stars and not one is because the crab was average. When this place learns about utensils I then might return, but until then I will never step foot in here again.

Horrible service we sat down 5 minutes passed and we were still waiting on someone to bring us menu’s. Then another family walks in and they have menu’s before they are even seated. Super rude we got up and walk out. I don’t recommend going unless you are okay with horrible service.

Maybe it was because we got it to go, but I was not impressed at all. Basically paid $ 13 for sides. I got the fried shrimp meal that comes with two sides. I decided french fries and pasta salad because I love both. I received 5 hush puppies and seven total shrimp. I’m sorry, but that’s an awful lot of hush puppies considering the star of the meal(the shrimp) was barely in the dish. The pasta salad was spaghetti noodles with Italian dressing on them, thats it. It looks like they attempted to cut tomatoes and cucumbers to throw in it, but… it was failed. There was definitely too much of it. The French fries were cheap and sprinkled with old bay. Not bad but I can make a whole bag of frozen Walmart fries for cheaper and have the same quality. The shrimp were medium sized and tough. This trip really upset me. First time and last time there.(I live maybe two blocks away). very

Very friendly & helpful staff here. Atmosphere is simple but utilitarian for easy messy foods such as crab boils. A «dump»(aka boil) arrives on a large tray and is usually shared between 2 or more people. Pricing depends upon what you get. That said, the crab dump we received didn’t taste anything like the variety we ordered and have had in a number of other places, so we suspect it wasn’t the correct variety. And it may sound picky, but the menu says that side veggies are«included» with each dump, which is confusing because even when you buy a dump there is an additional $ 8 charge for those veggies. With such messy foods I also wish they would issue plastic lobster bibs to protect your clothes. While getting a dump at Da Crab Dump was a unique experience, we would order quite differently next time, choosing easier to recognize and eat seafoods.

I won’t be back for a while. The service was good but it’s a small spot and I think in time it will expand to something bigger. The crab legs were OK. Not anything I couldn’t cook at home. I asked for the medium seasoning hoping it would have a little kick but it really didn’t.

I tried the create your own dump and got Lobster claws, snow crab legs, shrimp and sautéed scallops with the potatoes and corn. Everything was REALLY good! The snow crab legs were my favorite! The shrimp was pretty big and not over-cooked. The sautéed scallops were crispy on the outside. Everything was very flavorful. The only complaint that I would have is the service was very slow. We went on a Friday night and took about 40 minutes for our food. We got all that and was really full for just $ 53 for 2 people. I would definitely go back! It was worth the wait! I would give 5 stars if we didn’t have to wait so long.

First time eating here, I had the Po’Boy Shrimp/Oyster Combo sandwich w/onion rings. Reasonable priced, sandwich was great, soft roll and seafood did not get loss in the bread. I also ordered hush puppies, OMG a must try! Taking wife back for date night.

One of the best mom and pop spots that I’ve been to in the area. The crab cakes were pretty good for the area. If you are looking for Baltimore size crab cakes this isn’t the place. The service was decent and the food came out nice and hot. The crab Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries where pretty good additions to the meal. I’ll be sure to go back to this location and try out the whole crabs or the crab legs.

This was THEBEST mom & pop crab + mixed seafood boil I have had. Originally from MD/DC, I know my crab and these were perfectly cooked, best spicing(went with medium), and just plain awesome! Even got my Texan daughter to understand the joy of crab. I’d drive extra hours to go anytime I’m back on the East Coast! You gotta come and get the pineapple coconut cake for dessert. Great value, great kids and just downright friendly and lovely people who own and run the place. Don’t know what the one who didn’t like it was talking about. Prices are fair market value and they aren’t shy on portions! Just GO!

New location, trimmer menu, all the best up front. Everything is good. I’ve been a fan since it opened in the old location. Great staff. Owners serve & mingle, like friends do.

After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical to go try this place out. I came in on a Monday night around 7. I sat down and ordered pretty quickly. I went with a dump of ½lb lobster claws, ½lb of crab legs, and got the potato and corn. The wait was not bad at all. Pretty much on point with what I would expect to wait for something to be made fresh. I wasn’t really paying attention but I would put it within 10 – 15 mins. Lobster claws were good. Large claws and cooked well. The crab legs were great too, the seasoning was a nice touch. The corn and potato were very disappointing, certainly not worth the charge. The potato was bland and completely soaked in butter. Overall I would give it 3.5 stars but I don’t have that option.

Firstly, I have to give some attention to the worst name for a restaurant I’ve ever heard of… so far. Really? You have the word Dump in the name… Waitress actually said, «welcome to the dump…» Second, admittedly I am a seafood snob. I grew up near the ocean, cook seafood myself often, and know what the good stuff is when I see it, and the short-cuts/mistakes restaurants make with seafood. If you’re like me… Maybe this isn’t the place for you. Crabs were over steamed, small, and bland. Seasoning was very heavy on the salt. Corn and potato were not worth the $ 4 add. Service is slow, and there doesn’t seem to be any flow to their process. Fried food I saw coming from the kitchen looked pretty good, but I did not try myself. I was hopeful when I walked in, but disappointed with the food. Won’t be back.

If you are looking for a place to get your hands dirty with seafood, then this is the place. I bit overpriced for the fried meals, but the dump meals are mostly market value. They have a spacious bar area and dining area. I ordered 1 lb of snow crab legs $ 16.99 per pound(2 clusters) the fried fish(1 piece lake trout) meal came with two sides $ 8.99 The restaurant could have used another waitress that night. All the staff seemed to be running around frantically to attempt to wait their table. I would go back!

This is some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. We ordered the Mild Dump with lobster claws, King crab, and Shrimp, with corn and potatoes. Huge pieces of lobster meat came out easily from the pre-cracked claws ready for dipping in either plain or garlic butter. The King crab was so juicy and sweet, it didn’t need butter. We saved room for the Banana Cream Cake and the Cocoanut Pineapple Cake. Both were so moist and delicious, we took some home for later. If you’re looking for a quick in and out, forget it. But it is worth the wait. It looks like a husband doing the cooking and the wife waiting tables, taking phone orders and cashiering, so she’s working hard to keep customers happy and the food coming. We will definitely be back for more.
