Really nice people. I have had their catering which was decent. However, the dining room experience was not good at all. Food was greasy and lacking flavor. Food quality was in the level of a buffet like Shines at best.

I didn’t like this place much. The first person we encountered was on the phone as she sat us, and completely ignored us the entire time there. The food was mediocre, and there were flies EVERYWHERE. Wasn’t impressed at all.

Chesterfield Court House, VA
When we walked in, I expected good «down home cookin» based on the fact that none of the dozen or so customers there was under 60 years old. But it didn’t turn out to be Chesterfield’s best kept secret. My wife had marinated chicken, that didn’t seem marinated. Very bland. I had the pulled pork, which was a bit dry, but the barbecue sauce was good. I also had the mac-​n-​cheese, which I expected to be awesome in a place like this. Wrong. It was okay at best, and pretty bland. But to end on a good note, the onion rings as an appetizer were awesome.

Been here each year I’ve done Muddy Buddy Richmond. Love. It. Wait staff are friendly, entrees were hot and yummy, and the prices were reasonable. Everyone I’ve dined with at this establishment has left satisfied.

Chesterfield, VA
Having read a number of reviews elsewhere, a person’s verbal support and a need to have a place to eat on Thanksgiving led me to visiting this restaurant. My family barely touched the meal, my wife based on the fact that the ham that was served was cold. As for me, the turkey, ham, mashed potatos were ok. The broccoli, though well cooked, was tasteless. I tasted my son’s spiced apples and candied yams, the latter being a primary reason I love Thanksiving, and found them both to be below par. To wrap up the meal was a pumpkin pie that had a bad aftertaste. Unfortunately, the only thing I have to be thankful for after this expeirence is that my wife isn’t still mad at me!
