I had the Proschutto Grilled Cheese. It was very soggy and greasy without much real flavor. The fries were soggy as well. Granted this was a carry out and not a dine in meal but the travel time was only 5 minutes so the food shouldn’t have wilted that quickly. Not impressed and probably would not go back.

Good but not rushing back. I did not hear any of our group raving about the food and def not the service. Most were happy with food just not WOW. Good– the music on Fri night; patio atmosphere and good vibe. Wines were all very good. 6 ppl in the party and 3 bottles were good. Waiter was not great in attention, speed and failed in his attempts at humor. not much effort to sell desserts, but prob just as well. I’m almost feeling the Lamberts throwed rolls attitude here. Just a little odd. My bison meatloaf: barely warm upon arrival so I quickly tasted and sent it back. My personal pet peeve. This is a restaurant and should serve food hot or very warm; that’s why I pay money. Taste was quite good for all parts of my dish. Wife’s scallops were also tasty but not very hot either. Appetizers — ok but forgettable. I guess that I want to be impressed and enjoy things I cannot cook/eat at home. So it was fine, and this was my first visit so check that, and move on to something else.

My first time here, the food was very good the staff were very friendly. For starters, we shared the goat cheese with crackers and they were delicious. Main course, I ordered the fish with potatoes and they were very tasty. I felt greedy and tried the warm cookie with ice cream for my desert. I would definitely come back and when I do I’d love to try the sirloin steak or the liguini with scallops and jumbo prawns — they looked as good as they sound :)

the restaurant is beautiful – we really enjoyed the live music on the heated porch… if only the experience had lived up to the lovely atmosphere. we got two steaks, the 12oz strip and the 16oz ribeye both ordered medium rare. the soup and salad that came before were fantastic(I loved the smoked crab chowder), and came out quickly. the rest of the meal followed shortly thereafter and we had really different experiences: my strip steak was really, really good. it was on the medium side of the medium rare that I ordered but the cream sauce was original and delicious so it wasn’t a big deal. my sides were slightly over-garlicky(not something I usually complain about, so it was pretty noticeable) but other than that it was fine. my boyfriend’s ribeye came out close to medium well. we even checked it with the flashlight of our phones to make sure we weren’t being fooled by the low light of the patio. it took a few minutes to find our waiter and let him know, but they took it back and started a new one for him. then a manager came over, and things got weird. she firmly implied that the steak was not as overdone as we thought it was, stating«when we got it into the kitchen there was definitely pink, but I understand how it would seem that way in the low light» but that it was«no problem» and they would get a new one out for him. it was a really weird interaction – she kept saying that she wanted us to be happy, while at the same time insisting there wasn’t really an issue. the second steak they brought out was between blue and rare and he didn’t finish it, but didn’t want to go through another weird confrontation about it. it was really a shame – I had a great time and would want to come back, but missing medium rare TWICE on a $ 30 steak while management was being super weird about it is not worth a return trip.

Been here several times and the food, drinks, and service have always been excellent. Try the premium red wine flight at the bar(great price and great pours for some top notch wines). They also have a great wine club. Been a member for several months and have used the membership to reserve tables, drink great wine, and get good discounts. I’ll keep coming back!

The ambience here is a real winner; nice & cozy yet enough breathing room to break out in a line dance routine if the fever hits you. The food was mediocre and so was the service. I ordered the Roasted Garlic Mussels(modified to 86 the bacon) along with the Arugula & Spinach Salmon salad(also modified to 86 the bacon). For some odd reason I noticed that 80% of their menu items included bacon; which turned me off. I have no problem asking for accommodations but it annoyed me to see bacon added to dishes like Salmon, Mussels & Tuna. Chef pick one or the other but don’t force feed carnivore on the pescetarian… geesh! My dining partner chose the New Orleans Cajun Shrimp which were pretty tasty but lacked the spice associated with its name. The shrimp were plump, juicy, prawn sized swimming in a delicious mild cream sauce. Followed by the Chardonnay Chicken; also well prepared and satisfying. Overall, Edgewild was a good experience and I’d definitely return. ~Christy

Great food, a little pricey for what you get but I knew that going into it. I love the atmosphere there.

Let me start off by saying this is my 4th vsit to the restaurant. So obviously I was expecting a good experience. Visited Edgewild this evening for a celebration with out of town guests. Our reservation was at 5:30 and it wasn’t very busy. We were seated within a reasonable amount of time. We ordered a bottle of wine and received it promptly. 2 of us ordered cocktails and waited 10 – 15 minutes for them to be delivered. Upon ordering we learned they were sold out of the ribeye steak entre. Kwep in mind it was approximately pm on a Sunday. Considering there are only 3 steak entre’s on the menu we were kind of upset. 3 of us wanted the ribeye so 2 of us went with the bison meatloaf and the other went with the sirloin. Salad and appetizers arrived just about the time I thought«where the heck is our food». One of us ordered the mussels which he enjoyed… once he got a spoon after waiting 5 – 10 minutes. Everyone else enjoyed their salads and soup. Dinner came in a reasonable amount of time. 1 flatbread, 2 meatloafs, 1 sirloin, 1 pork tacos, 1 steak trio. Took about 10 minures for the 2 steak eatets to get steak knives so they had to use butter knives for a bit. Overall the entre’s were good. Desserts were good too. Overall, really slow /bad service, decent food. No apologies for any of the issues. Was slightly embarrassed we brought out of towners here. Should have gone to Annie Gunn’s given the close proximity.

Well, for two years now my wife and I have gone for the Thanksgiving buffet. As empty nesters it does not make sense to cook so much we can’t eat it. We cannot express how nice the buffet selection is. Surprisingly from bagels and lox to made to order omelettes and traditional Thanksgiving fare. The staff is more than friendly(remember they are working on a holiday). The service is above reproach. The food is delicious and savory. We are members of the wine club, so our wine purchases were already paid for. We have been other times of the year and never had an unsatisfying visit. This year our daughter and granddaughter joined us and enjoyed it as much as we did. I recommend this to anyone looking for a home cooked meal plus, without the need to clean up. We have already set a reminder to call for reservations for next year

WOW. We not only had a GREAT server in Shane, the food was wonderful. Fresh and seasoned just right. Started with tuna poke, I had the Thai steak salad, just wonderful. Hubby had the 16 oz ribeye, and a p’butter choc ale beer. We had a great window seat which was nice and quiet. Do yourself a favor. Visit here and ask for Shane!

Have had two very good experiences here. The menu is innovative enough to make it interesting. The only thing that has ever been an issue was a filet that was tough. One of the times we went it was with a large group. The service was excellent and the overall food quality was very good. The wait staff has been very attentive on both visits. It was a very nice gesture on our most recent visit for the waiter to get a sample of a wine we hadn’t tried before so we could try it before ordering. Thought that was a really nice touch. The smoked corn chowder is really good. Both visits they’ve had some very good specials.

EdgeWild is a beautiful place. I was happy to have a chance to give it a try at lunch with some co-workers. The whole experience was excellent, and I loved the smoked chicken tacos!

Great happy hour, unique local craft beers rotated regularly, goat cheese and pistachios… it’s a win anyway you look at it. Each time I find a new dish that’s as good or better than my last visit. The Cajun shrimp app is incredibly delicious, you’ll want to drink the broth. The Flatbread are great as well, you can’t go wrong.

This was a fantastic place for a nice dinner for two. I ordered the 5 onion soup to start. It had good flavor but it was too thick. For dinner I ordered the 6oz. Steak topped with mushrooms and a gravy with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled broccoli and cauliflower. Dinner was fantastic! The flavors were bright without being over powering. Although we do not normally order dessert, we did today. I had the half-baked chocolate chip cookie with salted caramel ice cream drizzled with a caramel sauce. It was fabulous! I highly recommend this place but leave the children at home.

Tried it on a whim at lunch and now it’s become one of my 5-star places! So glad I came here, telling others about it. Would recommend: Wine flights BLT&E sandwich Chicken tacos Fries Mushroom & Brie soup Can’t wait to have dinner here, even more spectacular if I get to sit in the fire pit gazebo room again! Nice ambiance and view.

Our experience here was lmited — just a mid-afternoon drink and snack — but we really enjoyed the place. Being near the mall, they are kind of used to people stopping in for a drink like we did on my wife’s birthday. We shared a flight of reds. You can pick your own. We selected a couple of the house wines and a Pinot Noir that bumped up the price a bit. The pours were about what you’d expect — not generous, but not skimpy either. Along with our wine, we got the steak bruschetta appetizer. This was described as a rosemary filet, bleu cheese, arugula, chianti braised shallots, grilled baguette, shaved parmesan and balsamic reduction. The wines were excellent, food was excellent, service was pretty good, too. I recommend EdgeWild tor a casual afternoon stop. We’d probably come back for dinner sometime, but Chesterfield for a date? nah. No offense, but I do think back to(STL Style?) t-shirt that said Welcome to Chesterfield and just had a big parking lot and a mall. That reminds me of a Seinfeld joke: I’m from Massapiqua, which is Indian for«By the Mall.» Never gets old.

Oh goodness. This actually makes me feel really bad. I figured my last experience with the brunch was a fluke and it was time to go back to Edgewild. I am upset to write this but I was served two undercooked meals tonight. First I ordered the smoked pork chop. I took a few bites and it was very chewy. So I cut along the bone and it was very obviously undercooked. I sent it back and the server came back to apologize. She said the kitchen checked it out and agreed it was undercooked. She offered me a different entrée. I chose chicken tacos. The chicken in the tacos was cold and undercooked. I know that dark meat chicken can be pink. I love dark meat chicken but this chicken was undercooked. Ugh it makes me so sad because once upon a time I loved this place but this is unacceptable.

Stopped by this place for lunch as we were on our way to buy some winter coats at the outlets. Immediately when we walked in, I knew I would love this place. Décor — 5⁄5 Really loved the exposed wooden beams. The restaurants was decorated very well, with a winery sort of feel all the way through. Service — 4⁄5 Service was good, nothing to brag about and nothing to complain about. Food — 5⁄5 The food was great, I really couldn’t find anything to complain about. The prices were fair for the quality of food we received. Here is what we ordered Truffle Fries — could definitely taste the all of the flavors, from the truffle to the parmesan, didn’t seem like they cut these fries in house though Chardonnay Seared Scallops — couldn’t find a single thing wrong with this dish, the butternut-maple purée was awesome! Forest Mushroom and Brie — great soup, loved the combination of the mushrooms and the French brie I wish this place was a little closer, actually probably a good thing it isn’t. I would definitely frequent this place. Definitely a must try if you are in the area.

Carry out was fast and easy. Just enter and go to the bar for pickup. Place was pretty empty on a Saturday afternoon. The pistachio encrusted goat cheese was excellent. A must get for anyone! Not a big cheese fan but really enjoyed. Highly recommend. Got the smoked wings. They were very smoky, good size, but overall just average flavor. Won’t get it again. Truffle fries very very tasty. Lots of truffle. Crispy. Tender. Would get it again for sure! The burger was good. Pretty standard with lettuce tomato and pickles. Good quality toppings and fresh. The actual burger was a little dry. But it wasn’t greasy so that was nice. The burger was fair but not the best I’ve had. Had the cole slaw with the burger and it was good. Not too vinegary. Not too watery. Bottom line. Restaurant seems nice and the pistachio encrusted goat cheese was so good I will return just for that!
