Really excellent. The food, the service. Plus there’s the Fitz’s ginger ale root beer which is off-the-charts and is only available at Pi.

I’ve been a few more times and my most recent visit was great. 1. Order was correct. I placed the order by phone. While I prefer online, it’s not very friendly and non standard requests are not addressed. The staff was very friendly. Order was ready when arrived. 2. The berkeley thin was delicious. Lots of fresh tasty ingredients. Well balanced flavor. 3. The BLT salads were delicious. Plenty of dressing, plenty of bacon. Everything fresh. The only negative was there seemed to be water settling at the bottom of the container but at least I knew it was clean. I will frequent this convenient location more often again!!! I only wish they had more dessert options like Manchester! I also wished they changed the wing recipe back. It used to be my fav from any local restaurant. Now I just don’t get them…

I’ve ordered carry-out Pi from this location numerous times as wife and I love their deep dish. I have zero complaints regarding the food. I even like their thin crust quite a bit when I’ve ordered one for the kids. Crunchy crust and cooked just the way I like it, medium-well. The only thing keeping me from a full 5 star review and I almost slid this down to a 3, is the fact they have messed up my order more often than not. Mess-ups range from not removing ingredients that were requested to be removed, to forgetting a portion of the order, to excessive wait times due to kitchen recognizing error before pizza was presented to me to take home. Each time an order was not accurately presented, the staff was extremely apologetic and offered me a variety of options to make up for it ranging from free pizza or appetizer to a complementary glass of wine while I waited for mistakes to be corrected. This helps negate bad feelings for these screw ups but at some point, I start to make assumptions that my order will not be correct when I arrive. Incompetent is not how a restaurant wants to be thought of. Maybe the online ordering system, which is how I make 90% of my orders, is somehow flawed. Maybe it’s just me and my orders are too complicated to expect to be accurate 100% of the time. I guess if I keep getting free stuff, they can continue to make mistakes!

This was the perfect solution to our mid-week pizza craving. Everyone was helpful and friendly, and our pizza was delicious! Definitely will come back again.

Very disappointed. I know that Pi day will be there busiest day of the year. But, when I place an online order for a specific time it should be ready at that time. I placed the online order for pickup at 6:45p. I arrived early and knew I would need to wait a few minutes. Well, after other online people picked their orders up at the time they requested, I decided to ask about mine at 7:05 — 20 minutes late. They said«there a couple in front of you 10 minutes more». I waited 20 minutes more and still no pizza, but other online orders were picked up at there specific time.(I know these other online orders were on time because each person told the cashier their time) I told the guy I wanted my money back and cancel my order. A few more minutes went by while he got my refund and then gave me my money and said sorry. I won’t go to this location again, very disappointed.

Deep dish yummy corn meal coated deliciousness is what you will find here, to go. We order a pizza from here for pick-up about once a week. The Kirkwood is our go to pizza and its consistently good. This pizza is full of tomato, red peppers and meat balls. This pizza is our favorite local deep dish. The service here is spot on and the pizza is always ready on time and piping hot. I know there are a lot of different options for their pizza in terms of topping which at some point we will try. I know for some with celiacs or gluten intolerance the fact t hat they have gluten free crust is a huge deal as gluten free options around town are limited.

I wouldn’t have tried this pizza again on my own EVER! but a friend talked me into it saying if I had more toppings i’d have liked it. well the 2nd time was even worse. 1st of all there just isn’t any taste… it’s so bland there’s no BANG, that’s good… it’s just flavorless spongy dough with cheese that had no taste and bland sauce… lots and lots of sauce… putting more bland lame sauce on a pizza doesn’t make it any better the toppings were good, it didn’t seem like the cheap meat that some places use so i’ll give some credit there but yeah it’s nothing special and there’s no way i’ll be back… just a giant box of bland pizza, no thanks

My mom and I took my kids here on March 14 for Pi day since it was my daughter’s 14th birthday. I had called ahead and placed an order for her free pizza. They said it would take an hour since they were crazy busy. When we got there it still wasn’t ready so we waited another 30 minutes. They then realized that they had lost our order. The guy working was over the top apologetic and threw in another pizza, drinks, 4 Pi pint glasses and a salad! Everything was delicious and the customer service was great. My daughter had a wonderful birthday and she’ll always remember that day.

I have to hand it to this place, they make a good pie. It isn’t as thick as Giordano’s in Chicago, but that also makes it easier to eat since you don’t need a fork and a knife to eat Pi’s. We will come back for sure.

My favorite place to get pizza! Love that they have a gluten free option, and I love the deep dish cornmeal style. Ordered online and for some reason it didn’t go through, when I went to pick it up it had to wait for them to make it and they didn’t charge me!

Although we typically enjoy deep dish pizzas, we decided to give Pi 2 Go’s thin crust a try. While waiting on the order, we purchased a bottle of wine and each enjoyed a small glass in the waiting area. Nice touch! One half of the pizza was Lincoln Park(mozzarella, garlic olive oil, zucchini, fresh tomatoes, feta and fresh basil) and the other half was Maplewood(mozzarella, house-made spicy italian sausage, cherry peppers, fontina, fresh basil). Both were good, although I preferred the Lincoln Park. We’ll be back to Pi 2 Go, simply because of the convenience(and the tasty food, of course).

I really love getting deep dish pizza from Pi. I think Pi makes better deep dish then what I have tried in Chicago. I have ordered from here often and the food and customer service are great each time. It’s more convenient then driving to Kirkwood or the CWE, and the food is just as good. I love having a «slice» of the City in my backyard.

Not a fan. I know Pi gets a lot of hype but not from me. If you want deep dish, try Blackthorn in Tower Grove.

I’m really conflicted over my rating for Pi Pizzeria. I have gotten a pizza from their truck downtown before, and it was okay — but that was all. It was a sausage pizza(the truck has limited choices), which was only warm not hot, and wasn’t especially flavorful. So this time we ordered from Pi’s carryout shop at Clayton and Baxter. We got the south side classico — mozzarella, sausage, mushrooms, green bell peppers and onions — sounded pretty good to me. It was ready for pickup as indicated, ½ hour after I ordered. We only live two miles away, so it should have still been hot when we started eating it at home five minutes later. However, as before, it was only warm. It probably is difficult to make such a deep dish pizza good an hot all the way through without burning some, but still… I want my pizza hot Man, they put a lot of tomato toppings on. It looked pretty good, and there was good cooked tomato flavor, but after the first piece it just overpowered the rest of the toppings underneath it. The crust was good. It is certainly different than other pizzas, but that is tasty cornmeal. Now I know that mozzarella is a traditional pizza cheese. However, especially when you have such strong tomato flavor, the flavor gets lost. Add in some cheddar or something. You don’t meed to make it a provel, processed cheese. Just up the flavor some. Ah well. I guess it wasn’t too bad overall, and in fact I’d say it was good if that’s what you like. But I just prefer other. This includes what I’d say is real Chicago deep dish. Pi knows what they are making, which is their own particular take on deep dish.

I love Pi pizza and eat at the Kirkwood location often. Today I decided to pick one up from this location. I called and ordered and was told about 15 minutes. It took over 35 minutes for the Pizza to be ready, and this was after I complained. They said that their oven wasn’t hot yet(I ordered 40 minutes after their opening time). It was painfully obvious that the oven wasn’t ready because what I got was a soggy undercooked dough/crust(and this was a thin crust pizza, not a deep dish) that was literally swimming in a pool of grease in the bottom of the box. Go to the restaurant to get your Pi, this place is awful!

Love their pizza The cornmeal crust on the deep dish is fantastic. They have unique combinations for those like us that are searching for something beyond the usual fare, and yet has all the standard ingredients. We are working our way through the menu and haven’t found one yet that we don’t like. Our last venture was the Berkley ands the South Classico. Yummy!

Not sure what all the hype was about. To call this deep dish pizza is an insult to Chicago style deep dish. Decent flavor… but fairly disappointing.

2nd time there, first time at the Chesterfield location. Had deep dish first time, thin this last time. Love the cracker style crust. Phoned in order, ready in less time than told. However some complaints: cheese was rubbery(we had it home in less than 30 minutes from order time), overpriced and wouldn’t make a «made to order» pizza made to order(apparently customer service no longer means giving the customer what they want.) All we wanted was a kid pizza so our 8 year old wouldn’t take away half of our specialty pizza in just cheese. How about ¾ specialty, ¼ cheese? No can do. Too difficult for a mathematically named company? Did send note to company. Their response will determine if they want our business. Glad Dewey’s is out here.

One less reason for the West County crowd to venture East of 270.
