What a wonderful experience! Not only did my stylist do a beyond fabulous job on my hair,.i felt so welcomed and acknowledged by the other staff members as well :) I have extremely thick hair that was over-​processed to begin with,… my hilites came out a beautiful baby blonde, and the protein/​softening treatment that was suggested for after my color service made my hair feel silky smooth while adding strength and integrity to my strands. Great atmosphere and will definitely be back. Thank you Shapes Salon! You ROCK !!! :)

I live in Washington DC now, but I grew up in Sterling Heights. I like to get my hair cut when I come home so that I can see Jill, who has been styling my hair since I was in 6^th grade (no joke). She is absolutely amazing — I’ve never gotten a bad haircut, even on those times I’m not sure what to do with my hair so I just tell her to wing it.
Jill has worked at a few different salons over the years, and this is without a doubt the nicest place she has worked. All of the staff there are amazingly nice and easy to talk to. If you’re there waiting for someone else to get a haircut, it’s a nice place to sit and read a magazine, or just strike up a conversation with any of the staff. I’ve had my nails done there too, and Melissa is amazing — she even came in on her day off, even though it was a pain to line up day care, to do my nails for my wedding.
I can’t say enough great things about Shapes — it’s just an awesome salon and I wouldn’t go anywhere else in the Detroit area!
