Walmart Supercenter

Stopped in to this Walmart this afternoon. It is not my regular Walmart; just stopped in as I was in the area. I was in search of Christmas candy, and while Christmas is only five days away, I expected more in the way of a selection. I would have asked an associate, but Walmart associates, as a whole (unfortunately) aren’t exactly all that knowledgeable. I’ve been in this store a few times in the past, and I don’t remember it being as dimly-​lit as it was today… not an environment I would expect in Chesterfield.
I was able to (quickly) find the candy I wanted at Walgreens.

I just left everything I was about to purchase at the back of the checkout line. Only two lanes open, both with long lines while three other lanes were closed as the cashiers rang out their final sale. Im not waiting in line for 25 minutes. Ill give my money to a business that wants it.

They still suck! The worst part is that they really don’t care. C’mon Amazon Pantry… get rolling and develop enough that I will never have to go back to this or any other Walmart.

This pharmacy should be shut down. They claim that they dispensed medication to me that I never received, and I was unable to fill my prescription properly. How does this happen! On top of this, the people working here are extremely rude. I will never go to this pharmacy or shop at Walmart again because of my recent experiences with this pharmacy.

What more need be said? It’s Walmart. Long, slow check-​out lines and typical of Walmart, poor customer service. Like most people I know, I dread having to shop at Walmart because I know what’s coming. So I try to shop at the Target store just up the street. They have a cleaner store, fast check out, and much better customer service. Walmart as a whole, really needs to get its act together. It isn’t only this store that has a problem, it is most Walmart stores I have been to.
But what can we expect? It’s Walmart.

I hate Walmart. I hate that I have to go here sometimes to get something I need that is not available elsewhere in the Valley. I especially hate their pharmacy and actually filed a complaint to the board of pharmacy about one of the pharmacists that lied to me and as a result caused my daughter to go unmedicated for almost a month!
I can’t tell the pharmacy story because I have too much to do today to let myself get that angry, so I will share the story of what happened this morning:
I stopped in this morning to pick up some donuts for the guys who are remodeling our house. (WHY OH WHY is there not a donut shop in the Valley!!!) PIcked up 13 donuts –12 in the box, 1 in my stomach. Also two packages of Fudge sticks and three frozen meals since I am working at home during the remodeling. $ 5 for 13 donuts, $ 5 for two packs of cookies, $ 3 or $ 4 bucks apiece for my Amy’s frozen meals. Around $ 20 bucks worth of stuff.
Well, I got into the fast line (misnomer) and waited my turn. I made the same joke above about the donuts and the checker showed no expression at all. She just scanned my stuff and didn’t really look up. Here’s the rest of the converstaion:
Her: «Your total is $ 75.81.» (said with a completely straight face and no expression)
Me: «Umm…no.»
Her: (Quizzical expression, like she doesn’t even know what to say to a crazy person who refuses to pay) «What’s wrong?»
Me: «That is way too much for a dozen donuts and a few other things. My total should be somewhere around 15 or 20 bucks.»
Her: (Fumbled around with the register while the people in the growing line behind me shuffled their feet impatiently) «That will be $ 21.52.»
Me: «That sounds much more reasonable.»
Her: «Sorry» (Shoves all of my stuff into one bag and puts my donuts in the child seat area of the cart so they are tilted sideways)
I get it that part of how they can afford to offer low prices is that they hire a bunch of low wage part time employees who don’t give a shit, but damn!

This is a Walmart, so obviously not a luxury store, but compared to the one in Bridgeton by me this is tops! It’s amazing what a difference it can be between locations! This one is bigger, nicer, cleaner, way nicer staff and customers!

It’s a Walmart. Nothing special here. Store seems relatively organized and usually well staffed. I do have an issue with the 11pm closing time… aren’t most Supercenters open 24hrs?

I’ve been here so very many times. I don’t usually buy a lot at a time. .. but every time I’ve been here, the associates are helpful.
The prices are good. .. and I’m just buying food, not clothing or ammo.
One nice item I’ve noticed is that they carry Greek yogurt. I usually mix half Greek yogurt and half plain yogurt with frozen fruit (cherries or blueberries) for a wonderful evening sweet snack.

Walmart is so affordable and Its a one stop shop I can get groceries clothing and houseware items from there its a huge store I love the supercenters. you can find everything you want and need there at great prices
