Penzeys Spices

A group of strong, powerful women once said to the people of the world, «spice up your life!» Those women were the Spice Girls, and although I cannot say with absolute certainty they were instructing us to shop at Penzeys Spices, this place definitely would be an excellent starting pointing in following their advice.
I spend very little time in the kitchen, so you’ll want to take what I say with a grain of salt. However, I think Penzeys sells just about every seasoning you could want. It really is its own little spice world. Take a look at their website to get an idea of what you might find in the store. In addition to spices for cooking, baking, and grilling, you will find soup bases, mixes for making your own dips, hot chocolate, and a selection of their own custom blends and salt-​free seasonings. Really, I think the only thing you won’t find here is a zigazig-​ha.
[TIP: If the seasoning of interest to you comes in more than one size, be sure to do the math to ensure you get the best deal. The bags can be a better deal than the jars.]

This is the only place I buy my spices anymore. The first time I went in a Penzey’s was in Houston Texas. This new location is on my route to my daughter’s, perfect. I love going in this store and I buy a lot. My only question is when my daughter recently visited this store with me, she wasn’t prepared and didn’t bring a coupon from her magazine with her. She was told even if she made a purchase she could not receive a free sample spice without the coupon. That didn’t make sense since she was making a purchase and her info from a previous purchase should be in the system and she does receive the magazine but she was told no. She is new to Penzey’s, I introduced her to it since the grand opening. This didn’t leave a good taste in her mouth, no pun intended.

Penzeys Spices has opened in Chesterfield Valley! The new store is open M-​Sa 10:00 am 6:00 pm and Su 11:00 am– 5:00 pm. This is the second Penzeys location in Missouri.
Penzeys makes gift giving easy. Beautiful boxed sets are ready to run in and pick up. You may also create your own boxed gifts — kits are about half way back inside the store.
While you are in the store be sure to sign up for the mailing list. Coupons come with the catalog and idea book. The catalog is full of recipes and stories using Penzeys Spices. Coupons range from a free mug, free spice, or dollar amount off of purchase.
