So we stopped at a new-​to-​us pizza place in Chesterton (AJ’s Pizza) for dinner tonight. I must say they had some of the most interesting pizza on the menu. Some I have never seen before. Since I am a real sucker for Reuben sandwiches I had to get the Reuben pizza. Delicious but it is only a short-​time special. We also tried the Italian Beef pizza which didn’t work as well. If you’re out near Chesterton off Hwy 41 give them a try.
The noise level was quite loud with the restaurant only half-​full. I am sure it gets rowdy over the weekend nights. Service was more than acceptable with an informative and helpful staff.

Hands down the best pizza in chesterton. Try the stuffed it’s fantastic! And don’t forget the bread twists.

This is a good local pizza joint. Some of the best pizza around. Dine in, there delivery service really needs some work. They always poorly estimate delivery times and the drivers I’ve dealt with aren’t very polite. Dine in experience is always wonderful. Food is great.

The pizza is delicious and the staff is very friendly. This place was across the street so I gave it a try when I was traveling on business from Rhode Island. The pizza here rivals the pizza places from back home. There is nothing negative to say about this place!

We ordered because we were staying across the street at Hilton Garden Inn. It was done when they said it would be and it was hot. Good taste, lots of toppings. Better than Papa Johns.

The pizza is cheesey. Thats about all it has going for it. There is not much flavor to the pizza. Someone mentioned that the sauce was sweet, I don’t even taste that. I also ordered the fried pickles and it was like a sodium explosion. I know pickles are salty but the batter HAD to be salted on top of that. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Visited on Thursday night agree very clean and friendly staff, a little loud for us due to the metal roof bouncing sound back from the bar area, pizza ok, lacks flavor, crust ok.

Really good pie. They have a nice selection of craft brews. Servers are really nice. I don’t think it’s as good as gelsosomos but it’s really close. No deep dish at this restaurant. They have lots of sandwiches and apps too. It’s a hip place.

I have nothing but things to say about this plae. The new building is beautiful and I love that they added a full bar. Updated menu with a lot more options when they moved to the new location. The garlic bread twists are to die for. If you go to AJs and dont order the twists you majorly messed up. My favorite pizza place in Chesterton for sure!

Maybe it was the prior reviews that did it, but I can tell you service was outstanding. Our server, Alex was like a ninja, a ninja server. She was all over the table grabbing empty glasses and checking in, 6, maybe 7 times or more, I’m not certain because I lost count. Pizza was piping hot, lots of cheese and no, not too thin for my taste, but I do prefer thin crust. Definitely give AJs a try.

Restaurant is clean. Didn’t use bathroom so can’t rate that. Alex our waitress was GREAT! Very attentive and friendly. Pizza was good… really loaded with toppings! LOTS of tv’s to catch the game! Lots of space.

Hubby and I tried AJ’s on a Wednesday. Restaurant is clean, servers are friendly and attentive. The pizza, however, lacked flavor. The sauce is sweet, with no oregano or seasonings. The crust in the middle of the pizza was so thin, you couldn’t pick up a slice to eat it. We were hoping for a new favorite place in town. Sadly, we won’t be back.
