Very unclear on where to order and where to pick up. Apparently our food was ready for pick up but we didn’t know until 10 minutes after it was the counter because our number wasn’t called at all or loud enough to hear from 10 feet away. Panera has great bagels but besides that it is a place that really doesn’t have much to offer in a competitive industry.

Disappointed that the majority of the time that I come to this location, I am given dirty spoons on my tray. Many times the spoons have clumps of food on them that apparently did not get cleaned off in the dishwasher. Unfortunately, I have also seen roaches on the wall while dining in the booth area during my lunch hour. I would expect more from a Panera located in Chevy Chase.

Panera is great because it just has a wonderful home-made feel(or flavor anyhow). The food is fresh and healthy.(Unless you’re getting dessert.) I like the«pick two» option where you can get two half dishes since I prefer a variety of flavors instead of a big dish of one thing. This time I chose their seasonal squash soup and the turkey and cheddar sandwich. I loved both, but I will say that they are both fairly sweet. The dish comes with a side of a small apple or chips. They bring your food to your table. You help yourself to water. If you need to use the restroom you have to use the store code(see top of your receipt) to get in the bathroom. Kind staff. Clean environment.

Rapid pickup at this location is a joke. Every single time it’s either not ready or missing an item. I get attitude every time I go to the register and point out a mistake. Employees need an attitude adjustment.

I would give 5 stars for the people at the register. I was traveling from out of town and they knew all the regulars by name and I was impressed they knew everyone and their order. Their level of customer service was great.(They could have offered me info on the Panera Card, but a forgivable offense!) Unfortunately this is where my pleasant experience ends. When I picked up my breakfast sandwich I noticed there were tomatoes on it. Unfortunately raw tomatoes and me do not agree so I expressed my disappointment they were on there when the menu did not mention them. The woman behind the counter said«well there are tomatoes and next time tell them no tomatoes». I explained that it isn’t mentioned on the menu and she said«well they are supposed to be there». Ok how about you offer to make me a new one? She just turned her head and went on making other items. I asked for an other plate where I rearranged my sandwich and left the tomatoes on the plate. The whole time she was speaking to other employees about the situation and laughing as I walked away. Didn’t make me feel good at all, bad enough in fact to make met write this.

I know I shouldn’t take it personally, but I do. I take it very personally when I frequent the place for over a year and they can predict what I want for lunch. I never order the same thing, but there are some things I would hyperventilate over, like having onions in my sandwich(yes, really). So after I come in hangry, confused, and take over ten minutes to decide, they still meet me with a smiling face and a discount. Hot mess, meet quality service.

I do have a true love for Panera. The food and pastries are simply the best. But, i come to this specific Panera for the service. Moriah makes my entire day when I come to this café. She always has a smile on and wishes me a good day. She is the happiest person and even just talking to her for a minute lightens my day. I would give more stars just to her disposition if I could. Great Panera!

This Panera is very inconsistent. My group ordered 2 Cobb salads and one was missing blue cheese crumbles and the other was missing an egg. I also asked for chips and got an apple. The food is always delicious but just wish I knew what I was going to be expecting.

First let me just say that I love Panera bread food! I gave the location in Chevy Chase 3 stars because of the customer service that I receive every time that I go there in the afternoon on my break. This girl Monea is terrible, I have been trying to avoid going to her but she’s usually the only one up front. One time I waited in line for almost 10 mins because they had a new person working just so that I could avoid dealing with her. She’s rude, never smiles and never say thank you after she’s done ringing up my order. I feel like I’m bothering her whenever I go there. I’ve watched her on her phone texting one time while a customer is standing right in front of her. Smh

I don’t think this location has Wi-Fi… #bewildered I had to wipe off my own table when I got here. They labeled the coffee for 10:25am, when I glanced at my receipt it was actually 10:22am… Not a huge discrepancy if, and only if, it hadn’t been there over ten minutes. I’m not complaining, just some observations primarily because Unilocal reviews have to be kind of long. I just came in for coffee.

Panera, panera, why do I love you so? I just can’t say no to your delicious bakery items and the ability to pick two for lunch! Panera is always there for me when I need a bread bowl of soup, or when I need that afternoon pick me up cookie. Smoothies? They have those too. I just can’t say no to Panera and it even costs less than ordering a sandwich else where. My only complaint about this location is the pick up area is so cramped. There is no good place to stand to pick up your food without being completely in the way. Other than that they handle the lunch rush well!

They’ve gone downhill. Their food is unhealthy(look it up online) and not very tasty. They’ve removed what used to be their best items(e.g. their steak sandwich). The past two times I went I received the wrong sandwich. I specially asked if a new item on the menu was a steak sandwich or roast beef. The cashier either lied or was misinformed. I do not plan on returning.

The food is on par with all other Paneras so I won’t comment on that, but I must say that this one has THE friendliest cashiers/employees. It is so refreshing to be able to see smiling faces during my lunch break, even if our only interaction involves taking my lunch order. This is such a welcome contrast from the Panera near my home, where the staff are snobby and seem like they don’t want to be there. Great job to the managers and trainers at this location!

If you can avoid this one, go to the one in Tenleytown or in downtown Bethesda. Found a hair in my food multiple times over the past few years of eating here, and when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, one of our sandwiches had shrink-wrapped plastic still wrapped on the damn chicken. Needless to say that was the last time I ever actually ate a lunch or dinner item here. I’ll give it one extra star simply because they haven’t screwed up the pastries or drinks that I’ve gotten in the past, so the staff is at least minimally competent in that area.

Food is great but the service is not good compared to other locations. Inattentive servers, less than friendly service and mislabeled pastries on multiple items. This location needs to stay on top of the upkeep of this store.

My challenge of reviewing a chain is: how can I make this interesting? This is our last day in town. Until next time. We’re been using this P-Bread all week as our morning rally point before work, and someone in our group noticed a guy that we assume is a regular. We’ll call him The Leg Collector, or TLC for short. This particular individual apparently has a penchant of taking clandestine smartphone pictures of ladies’ legs and swiping though his trophy album of leggy photos. Creepstar fo sho. Fast forward. We’re wrapping up our conference, when someone mentions seeing Mr TLC elsewhere in this office. Uhhh. I feel kinda bad for the countless number of sneaky photos have been taken. I like this fancy Panera. Lots of seating and the employees we dealt with throughout the week have been friendly. I’m not a coffee connoisseur, but our guys prefer this brew over the Dunkin we picked up earlier. I thought the smoothies were ok, and the food was great. Gotta go. I have to switch the phone back to Airplane Mode.

Above average Panera. Lot of it had to do with the cashier, Moriah, according to my receipt who was the nicest person I’ve encountered at a Panera! It’s clean, pretty big location, just off busy Wisconsin Ave and food was good. Order was for here but they wrapped it up to go, no biggie though.

Ok, so this is the first time that I have been truly disappointed with Panera. First, I find out that they no longer make frozen fruit drinks or strawberry salad. I ordered a «large» penne bolognese(new item on the menu). Don’t bother. you’d get a larger portion out of a can of Chef Boyardee. the taste is about the same. Lastly, they messed up my order when they gave me chicken soup instead of tomato. I don’t eat yard bird… ever.

Panera makes good bagels. Who’d have thunk it? Just toast those suckers and cover them in Nam Prik Pao(Thai chili paste). Or even cream cheese, if you’re feeling adventurous. Thanks to my friends for buying!

One and a half stars. Hangover need of carbs and caffeine, check. Some light oven toasting of two plain, one sesame, one poppy, one French toast, and one blueberry bagel later, the six of us were a rejuvenated crowd patting bellies full of eggs, coffee, and bagels. The honey walnut spread won my favor again over the regular cream cheese, but that’s just my sweet tooth monster rolling in its grave. Don’t venture beyond the carbs. No pager system, just order numbers called out. Spacious amount of seating. White dinner roll was a little stale. Moroccan stew was light on spices, beef still slightly tough. Pesto sacchettini was a little watery. I don’t mind French onion soup without croutons despite menu photos, but without cheese? Lame. Bland soba bowls, baguettes torn to random sizes.
