Nice friendly place. Quick lunch service with a smile. Clean. Good value on everything we saw!

Towns like this, you kind of have to do what you can to fend for yourselves on the food front and this was the sort of little place that seemed like what we were looking for, the sort of hidden gem of the area and looking at the reviews, it seemed like a sure thing… Inside, there are lots and lots of different treats and if you’re in the mood for something sweet, you definitely can find it, up to and including some store-made snack mix. Lots of delectables there and so far so good, but we were looking for some quick sandwiches and out… given the tiny size of this place, it seemed the best option, though there are outdoor tables. My wife went with turkey lurkey and I went with roast beef. I got mine on 9 grain and my wife went with marbled rye. Both of ours were slightly stale and dry, on the bread side and my wife must have gotten what was left of the sprouts and olives as there were none on my sandwich. Bread was sliced a bit thinner than I expected, but held up ok… taste was not what I was thinking and this is not one of the better 9 grains I’ve ever had… they did well on the portion size of the meats, though… Other than that, staff is friendly and this seems like a cool little locals hangout, but, real talk here, there is not overwhelming competition around, either, which is probably contributing a lot to the high regards there. Probably if you stick to sweeter stuff, results will be better as well, though their drink selection could use a bit of help. Still, tons of good options for lunch combinations and the salads looked quite excellent as well, so there is promise here… all in all, a solid offering, but nothing I’d clamor to go back for…

Great atmosphere here, and the food was tasty. I stumbled upon it while visiting from WA. The Staff was friendly and funny.

This bustling place has fantastic sandwiches, baked goods and service! Being from out of town, I come here for lunch when visiting Cheyenne– a good option instead of fast food. Service is friendly and fast. I had the turkey sandwich on Spelt bread with pasta salad and a green tea. With the meal combo, you get a free cookie– Snickerdoodle is the way to go!

The 5 stars absolutely reflects the bakery itself in that there is no better bakery in Cheyenne. The iced sugar cookies, cannoli, sticky buns, haystack cookies and all of the breads are absolutely TODIE for. They also have the largest selection of Baer Jelly in Cheyenne, and that jelly is simply the best. However, my one major disappointment was the way myself, another customer, and even a person on the phone were treated by Kathy. She was so unwelcoming and rude it was astonishing, no hello, what are you looking for, how can I help, just snappy answers and angry tone and rolling eyes when you took an extra ten seconds deciding what you wanted then after I signed my credit card receipt she literally walked away and didn’t utter another word to me. No thanks for coming in, hope you’ll be back, NOTHING… Not sure if maybe she was having an off day, but it was extremely off putting and certainly not the way I expect to be treated especially when shopping locally. Bad service or not, the food/baked items are too delicious to miss, so I guess I’ll take the good with the bad.

Loved the Bread Basket. A really great find in a residential area. It’s a wonderful bakery and a great spot for a yummy sandwich. They have a wide variety of fresh breads, homemade granola, rolls, cookies and desserts available. It’s a quaint little place with about 6 small tables. The ladies working there were very friendly. Definitely recommend.

GRANOLA! Who would’ve thought that homemade granola could make a person so happy. I make it my duty to stock their granola in our home regularly. So tasty and chewy and just delicious. I’ve tried their fudge bars — pretty good but a bit too sweet for me, I wish other flavors of the bars came out and not just overly sweet. Cinnamon swirl bread — really yummy, toast it and put a little butter on it, YUM. Cinnamon rolls — wasn’t a fan at all. Not nearly enough doughy chewy goodness. White chili — really good! Chicken salad sandwich — tasty and fresh but nothing overly exciting about it. A couple downfalls to this place is it isn’t really conducive to meeting a friend for lunch. I think that it appears they would welcome guests to dine in but it’s just odd being at a dingy table surrounded by product. I feel like if they could jazz up their dining room they would really up lunch food sales. I know I would frequent it much more often.

While the product is consistently good, so to is the lousy Customer service. Rudeness doesn’t inspire a desire to continue to spend money at this place.

I had the white chicken chili soup it was so good and hit the spot on a rainy dreary day. There was a long line at 12:20 p.m. and they were about to run out of soup I also had half a sandwich roast beef and it was delicious. And a snickerdoodle cookie.

The Bread Basket is a wonderful«mom n pop» bakery and sandwich shop. The bread is always very fresh and delicious. They have the best chicken salad I have ever had(green onions in there is a nice touch). I highly recommend any of their baked goods because I’ve never had one that wasn’t amazing. The staff is friendly as well, no matter how busy they are. If you need a quick bite or something to snack on stop by the Bread Basket.

Seeking a fresh, locally owned stop for lunch while passing through on a road trip. The chicken salad, potato salad, bow tie pasta salad and cookies are all fabulous! Would be great for veg or vegans and gf folks too as they make everything to order and cater to dietary restrictions.

The customer service is great along with their biscuits and gravy. I would say the best I have ever had and their pastries are cheap and super good also.

I get pies from this place in a regular basis. They have lunch items such as sandwiches, etc, but I have not experienced them. However, I can say that the pies are very good. I’ve had their Lemon Meringue, Peanut Butter Cream, Apple, Cherry, and Peach pies. They are all delicious. They do not accept Amex cards, so be prepared with another form of payment.

I got a lunch special with half egg salad on Jalepeno cheddar bread, potato salad, and a cookie. What a deal! The bread was soft and delicious. I had to save some of the potato salad for later as it was a very generous serving.

Delicious bread and wonderfully seasoned sandwiches. If you like cabbage, try their delicious cabbage burger. Their cookies are yummy too. They also sell local honey and jam. Such a treat to have such FRESH bread!

Went here for lunch todat. The construction made it a little difficult to find. The ham and potato soyp in a bread bowl was very good and the tuna salad on marblr rye was outstanding. All their bakery items looked excellent.

We came in in the middle of the afternoon and I was offered a 2 for 1 deal on the breakfast burrito. Yay! Noooo! It was a soggy, fatty mess. The thing had been sitting in a bucket all day and the tortilla had melted with the wrapping had melded with the fillings, so the whole thing was just gummy and homogenous with only some limp, bologna-tasting bacon(or sausage, I literally couldn’t tell) studding the soup. I leave the extra star for the baked goods, which smelled great and I had a bite of a cookie that was clearly made by skilled hands.
