The shrimp was amazing. I am looking forward to coming back to try the fish. The owner is really helpful and talks about his love for preparing seafood and you can tell when you take the first bite. The shrimp were fresh and tender.

WoW, what flavor. I had the ½lb jumbo shrimp with fries and it was absolutely delicious. Thier food is incredibly mouth watering. The fries are seasoned and compliment the food gorgeously. I had to have more so I also ordered thier lunch special Wichita is 5 pieces of shrimp fries a piece of fish. I had the perch which of course was was amazing. If your in the area a definite must have.

Halsted Shrimp has THE best fish! Their recipe is so unique and delicious that you can taste the fish and the light batter all at the same time. I have added Halsted Shrimp into my weekly routine because I have to have my Jumbo shrimp and fish. I love the service, I love the fries… I even love the location!

Shrimp Express MOVE OVER!!! There’s a new shrimp place in town. What sets them apart from Shrimp Express is the kick in their batter, and I. LOVE. IT. The shrimp are a really nice size, cooked just right, and are priced reasonably. They came with fries and cole slaw (which was also just right). If they keep this up, my gas tank will thank them (because I won’t have to drive out to Calumet City anymore), but my wallet and scale will curse them (because I might end up eating their shrimp once a week)… But I think I’m OK with that… Yep.
