Tailor’s Final Touch

I have had several suit jackets and pants altered over the past two months. The alterations were done perfectly, quickly, and at reasonable cost.

I just took three pairs of jeans and some shirts to be tailored, they were ready to be picked up later that evening and they did an excellent job. They followed the design of the cut on the shirts. Highly recommend it.

I have had this tailor work on at least six different pairs of pants on at least 4 different visits, and have had fantastic results each time. Although he is relatively new, I totally trust him and his work. My pants have always been ready when promised and neatly bagged. The gentleman who runs this branch of Final Touch is a Palestinian and speaks English as a second language, but he is quite understandable and professional. I also think his prices are very reasonable – everyone charges at least 10 dollars to shorten pants. And he doesn’t just take your word for how much shorter they should be – he asks you to put them on and measures each leg carefully. I have no idea why Ms. Glynis W. had such a poor experience there. I say, take in one item and see if I’m not correct about this business.

PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!! Since I am a petite woman, I am constantly in need of a Tailor to shorten the slacks/​jeans/​pants that I buy. I discovered recently that the tailor that I had been patronizing for the past several years had suddenly gone out of business therefore, I was forced to seek someone else. Well, I decided to take seven (7) pair of pants that I desperately needed shortened to this particular business. BIG MISTAKE! I should have followed my first mind and should have only take two pair. However, I took all that I needed shortened. First of all a red flag should have arisen when I was quoted $ 10.00 per pair of pants to be hemmed (shortened) and $ 25.00 for a pair of pants to be shortened and taken in but, I decided to bite the bullet. Well, when I arrived to pick up my items, I noticed that the tailor brought them to me all balled up and in these random shopping bags. In the past when I’ve picked up my items that I had tailored, they would be returned to me under a cleaners bag and my items were pressed. Well, at that moment and since the mail was about to close and I wasn’t in the complaining mood, I again decided to suck it up! When I returned home, to my horror I discovered that every pair of pants were still too long and unevenly hemmed. I was mortified! And, outside of the pants not being placed under garment bags, each pair of pants were very dirty as if he had thrown them on the floor after he hemmed each pair! Now, I have to return to the store and ask him to re-​do all seven (7) pair of pants. I will have to report back with his response to my complaints. PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME! This place is located in the Chicago Ridge Mall (Westfield) next to Kohl’s.
