The café is just okay for me. I had chicken salad in a wheat wrap and bow-tie pasta salad. Some of the other offerings are pizza, baked potatoes with various toppings, salad bar by the pound, made to order deli sandwiches, and a grill that offers hot dogs and burgers. Considering it’s location, it’s reasonably priced. Hot dogs are two bucks and some change as are the burgers. I’m still trying to figure out why a patty melt is $ 4.79 without fries but okay. I might be a bit on the cheap side. There’s really no need to be in a huge rush to go here. It’s just one more place to try in the loop.

Yes this place truly deserves 5 stars based on my sole experience. My friend suggested we try this restaurant as Clark and Jackson isn’t exactly restaurant engulfed. Fortunately there happened to be a chef cooking jambalaya made to order with the option of shrimp, chicken and sausage(any of those or combination thereof). I managed to devour the entire portion which was quite large but oh so delicious. I have had jambalaya several times before and had been disappointed just as many times. This stuff was phenomenal here. The shrimp were fresh, the sauce was spicy and it was not greasy at all. With tax it was about $ 7.50 and I was so stuffed I took a pass on dinner. I don’t know much else about Bank of America except what the WSJ tells me, but at least their employees are well nourished.

I visited here recently and was shocked to see that so many options had been eliminated. It was definitely a sign that these are tough times. I’m a big fan of their salad bar. They have lots of options and charge by the weight. There are other options as well such as burgers, sandwiches, and pizza, but its just not the same as before! I was a little disappointed. It was so quiet in the seating area I felt like I was in a library. I hope the economy picks up soon because this place needs a little more cheer! By the way, the café sells desserts such as parfaits and pies and cookies. Yum! I’m so glad thats still around!

I like this place a lot. I love the salads and the Mediterranean options. Best part — they have Coke AND Pepsi fountain pops, so whichever is your preference :-)

The place is not bad. It’s just average at best. It’s definitely not some place I need to dine at again.

Well I would give the salad bar 5stars, and most of the other stations 2 or 3 Since the salad bar is only like of 7 stations, based on my shaky math skills, a 3.5 is appropriate. So I rounded up. First the salad bar: Love it! They have iceberg lettuce, mixed greens and spinach. A wide array of chopped and sliced veggies, good selection of protein, a lot of choices for cheese make this a premium salad bar. My two favorite items are the garbanzo beans and the dried cranberries. So yummy! As for the other stations, they are really hit or miss. Sometimes okay, sometimes awful. There are some exceptional specials, like nut crusted tilapia. Generally, there are other food courts that outshine this spot. One great thing is the abundance of seating. I don’t know if the cafeteria used to be really happening, but there is always plenty of seating. Final comment, don’t get here past 1.45 or you will be SOL. Most stations are getting wrapped up for the day.

Fresh, tasty, very reasonably priced Bank of America cafeteria with many options: salad, grill, mexican, entrees, deli, stir-fry.

This place is pretty great. I owkr nearby and they always have something good for lunch. Wednesday is the Jambalaya party w/Gustavo. Also, the salad bar is one of the best I’ve had in town. They have these sweet punchcards that take like, $ 4.00 off after 10 punches.

Set up in the basement of the Chase tower — it does open up to a nice outside opening with tables and open space. It’s set up like a cafeteria style with different booths(almost like dorm cafeteria) of different types of food — they have this salad bar, soup. sandwich stand, along with Mexican food or Asian food. Definately a lot of options and all at a decent price, too. They also have daily specials that you can check out, as well.

It was fun to go to an actual cafeteria for lunch and get a very decent hand-made corn beef sandwich. The Café 231 is in the basement of the Bank of America Building. They offer a full service lunch menu ranging from salad bar to roasted chicken stuffed with artichokes, which my wife really enjoyed. A nice change-up from a food court. Lots of different, well prepared options.
