3 JJJ’s Better Taste Jerk Restaurant

I tried a jerk chicken taco from the food truck by Forman Mills. It was 2.00 and didn’t have much taste and there wasn’t much meat. My fiancée didn’t like it either. If you are shopping at Forman Mills and you are hungry go across the street to the new Maxwell!

Ordered 1jerk taco off of there food truck it was lacking in flavor and tasted funny! The next day I was having sharp pains in my stomach that caused IBS and vomiting uncontrollably and it lasted for 24 hours I will never go there again

Anyone that says they like this place has never had real jerk from any island! This food what merely grilled spicy food. A waste of food.
My wife found his food truck on the westside of Chicago too bad I couldn’t take it back.

I used to work next to a Jamaican restaurant in another city and greatly missed authentic Jamaican. This place is amazing. I just finished up a plate of jerk chicken (dark meat) from the food truck that stops by the loop. Perfect amount of heat and huge portions. Loved it.

l had wanted to try this place for awhile. There was a jerk restaurant in that space prior that I wasn’t impressed with so I decided I would try them today. It’s a warm day, 84 degrees. When I stepped into the place, it felt warmer in there than it did outside. They had several ceiling fans but they weren’t on. :(I ordered the Oxtail dinner. The dinner comes with 2 sides so I decided since I love cabbage greens, I would get a double side of them. I asked the order taker how long it would take, he said 7 minutes. I ran an errand and came back after 7 minutes and still had to wait. It was more like 15 – 20 minutes I waited for my food, however, they told they me they gave me extra probably realizing how much longer it took. As you can see, it’s a ton of food so no worries there. The Oxtails were flavorful and tender so I enjoyed those. However, the cabbage greens I couldn’t eat at all. Too much seasoning on them especially black pepper which was a real disappointment because here I am with all these greens and can’t even eat them. The order taker told me he hoped I would come back. I told him I would call the restaurant and let him know what I thought of the food. You know what? When I called the number to the restaurant, a recording came on saying that the voicemail was full. Not a good way to handle your business.

We drove out of our comfort zone to an amazing find. The Salmon Dinner fed two people, and we were full. The resturant was different but cozy and welcoming. The food was «just what we needed, a flavorful dinner that reminds you of having meal prepared by Mom. We ordered Candied Yams and Rice for the sides. The Resturant also has a Food Truck that comes next to my building at work, downtown. I will look for it and patronize it going forward. There were other Menu items that I want to explore so I will be a eating there for a while and spreading the word to my co-​workers. :)

Met this flake infront of merch mart one day while going to get chipotle. He gave us a card and said call me anytime for food. So today I decided to call. Called at 9 oh yea 5 people 40 $. He said he would be there shortly after noon. 140 hits we call him he goes OH YEA. I am 10 minutes away. NO call NO show. So I went and had me a delicious billy goat burger and will never try this chicken again. If he can not deliver it right how can he make it right.

I absolutely love this place the food is great jerk chicken is so good juicy and tasty best jerk in Chicago better than joes and jerk villa. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great… I will be a regular at the place

I just left there got a whole and a half chicken and a large rib tip. The chicken was greasy but other wise ok., Now the tips the sauce was great but tips were so tough was like eating the bottom of my shoe with great sauce on it. Next time I will certainly ask to sample them. If it would had not been such a inconvenience to me I would have taken that shoe leather back and demanded my money back. Uggg!
