if i would be able to give them 0 stars i will do it!!! i went there with my broken window and the manager charged me $ 78 for replacing the glass! He totally messed up my window!!! He bent the aluminum part and glue the two windows with silicone like my 3 years old son will do it and when i told him that i don’t like the job he said” Well… if you would want it done professional will cost you 2,3 times more!!! Seriously? A new whole window is @$ 130. I felt so bad that i did’t leave the glass on the other place on Milwawkee and Montrose. So now i paid $ 78 +129 for a new window. The manager /owner is just a greedy person ! Please don’t go to this place !!! People don’t care here!!!

Ace is the Place with the HELPFULHARDWAREMAN. A number of years ago, I bought my first 2 flat. It needed floors walls & ceilings in every room,& I didn’t know what drywall was. HENRY owns this Ace Hardware, & rescued me many times from certain catastrophy(& potential electrocution). I’d run into his store, with miscellaneous parts in my hand(s) wondering H T F(how) I would ever make it through the catastrophe of the week. He’d calmly collect the stuff I needed to put my _______(sink, lights, floor, etc.) back together, along with a drawing or some explanation of how it will all work. I learned a lot from Henry, & now I stop to buy parts from him whenever I get a call from a a customer in his neighborhood. With what I’ve learned from my brother, the old guy @ Handy Andy with a large roadmap nose Henry the HELPFULHARDWAREMAN, and trial & error, I’ve learned enough to have a successful Handyman Business.(PortageParkHandyman.Com). Much of what I’ve picked up, came from Henry. Thank You Henry. To the rest of you new homeowners, don’t be afraid to try to fix your broken ____. If it’s broken, you’ve got nothing to loose by taking it apart(turn off the power first).
