Best food in Lincoln park. Great service clean place and very friendly. And the bathrooms are awesome. Definitely my new lunch spot.

Quite frankly, before going there and checking all the reviews, I was freaked out… I am quite picky and do not understand the negative reviews at all. I was invited there for a party on a Sat night where they have Latin dancing after 10 pm with a free lesson and freestyle dancing after. Our party was quite big, we ate and drank and danced. The server was young and probably not too experienced judging by the way she was handling the menu, but nothing too crazy at all. The woman at the front door checking the names on the guest list could be friendlier(that is the older one), and the guy with the pony tail and the belly too. They look a bit intimidating as they walk around the restaurant and do not have a friendly vibe. There is room for improvement for sure, but nothing crazy. The restroom was clean and the place is spacey.

There was live music when we went(No Alternative) which was a great addition. The atmosphere was very bright and open(windows surrounding the entire restaurant). Food was typical of what you would get at a tex/mex place… good amount and a little pricy. Overall, I would come again :-)

Wow is the only word to say. Amazing food & the service was awesome. Not only will we be back, I will be recommending to everyone I know. Awesome music & the drinks were 1 of a kind. 7 layer dip was perfect. Signature fajitas was tremendous. Waitresses always checking on us was very professional. A must come 2 restaurant & environment.

i had a good time here. Good margarita pitcher deals, cheap menu, good tequila selection. Went with a Casa Noble Reposado Margarita. Food came out really fast. Got the Blackened Shrimp tacos and they were yummy. $ 4 Corona beers on a Friday. Pretty great option for a casual Friday night and upbeat playlists.

This place is so nice, it’s located in such a great area and the service was amazing I ordered a pama margarita on the rocks and it was amazing !! I also had the pork tacos on corn tortilla with rice and refried beans and they were actually more than good which I was surprised to find out because some of these reviews of this place are kind of crappy which I think is wrong maybe those people need to go try it out for a second time because I had a blast with me and my 2 friend!

I have a Unilocal account just to read reviews and interact with reviews, but I have finally come across a restaurant that has compelled me to write a review… THISPLACEISHORRIBLE! It is worse than the hairy arm pit of the lunch lady from Billy Madison. After reading the reviews just for the month of May, it is OBVIOUS they are incentivizing people to write reviews. So obvious that I checked out all these«so called 4&5 star reviews» and these people all write like 1 sentence, they are all from MAY!, have terrible english, live in the suburbs or out of state, this is their only review and all write about the same topics with no personality(like it was copy written for them). Worse yet, is the college girl from Ohio who loves AD’s because it «reminds her of Ohio.» Awww isn’t that sweet… pretty sure we all moved to Chicago to get away from anything that reminds us of a suburb!!! My experience: There is literally no booze in the marg and it is pee(–iss) yellow. My guess is that it’s a mix of chemicals and low shelf Skol brand tequila. The food is literally frozen meat that probably has a ton of preservatives in it that they thaw for your order. And if you want to customize your order – don’t. They are just going to serve you what’s on the menu regardless of what you change, because that’s how the servers roll. I had the fajitas, the most expensive thing on the menu, and my meat was rubber aka thawed fake stuff. The Whole Foods taco bar is much more delicious than AD’s and it’s a grocery store! The guac is that kind you get out of a bag. I know because my former room mate used to buy that crap and it tastes nasty, just like Adobe Gila’s. And NOFREECHIPS. Who are these losers, writing fake reviews, that can come during the day(before 7PM) and get free chips. No free chips on the weekends and no free chips at dinner. I suppose if you’re in the North and Clybourn area at 4:12PM on a Tuesday you’ll get free chips and salsa. GOODFORYOU! Don’t get roped into going here only because it’s next to Arclight Cinema… Yardhouse, Earl’s, Lyfe Kitchen, Nando’s and hell even Mariano’s has food that is more edible and higher quality. This is honestly the worst restaurant in Chicago and I’ve lived here 10 years. I’d honestly rather see a CVS or a Verizon store go in this location. Olé!

As you walk up to the door, there’s a sign that says«Welcome to the beach» and that ain’t no lie. They crank up the heat to the point where I have to take off the extra shirt. Happy hour are awesome: FREE salsa, tacos, & chicken wings Monday-Friday 4−7pm. The food is average though, I guess you get what you pay for. The drinks are pretty good. It’s not too crowded either, and the waitstaff is plentiful, although not always observant and helpful.

As an Ohio State graduate, I never thought I’d find the likes of Ugly Tuna, let alone Adobe Gila’s, again! Great spot to pop in for an inexpensive margarita and fajita before or after a movie at Arc Light. New City feels like home(Ohio) in my other home(Chicago). As long as you come with that mindset, you’ll love it!

Came in for a quick lunch and left happy. Great service, including a recommendation for the seasonal items menu — where I found my choice. Great space, including the large open garage doors with a view overlooking New City. More chips and salsa than I could handle(which is not a compliant but a compliment).

Go for the prices and taste and not location. Its a bit hard to get to between the parking and the walking. For that reason I had to take a star off. The staff was friendly and their selection is good. I wish they had better music there but that’s another story.

I went here for an event and the service was great! The taco’s and cocktails however were really plain to me. Borderline boring. I think it’s because I’m used to going to all these«fancy» creative taco places. Being given a soft shell taco with meat and lettuce isn’t what I’m used to anymore. LOL. The vibe was fun, but I found it a little to touristy feeling(meaning a bunch of people from the burbs will probably all go here). This place isn’t terrible, but just not for me.

Since I live in the ‘hood, figured I’d try this place one more time! Going to keep this short and sweet. — Servers are nice and polite still — Still no complementary chips and salsa(apparently complementary on weekdays only… ok) — Ordered spicy beef adobe wet burrito. Received a grilled chicken adobe wet burrito. it tasted ok, but still, not what I ordered. — Margaritas still not that great I’d still rather pay for the overpriced(but good quality) Uncle Julio’s than get a «deal» here.

This space is great and cant wait to see in the summer. Service was great, the steak fajita was really good and the margarita pitcher was a great deal. We came on a rainy Monday and felt like we were on vacation at Adobe Gilas!

I see why this place has a 2 star average… Margaritas were extremely weak and tasted like artificial flavoring — disgusting I got the Adobe fries, waffle fries with carnitas, queso, guacamole and other stuff… didn’t care for the taste of the pork so I trashed that one. The buffalo wings were the most edible thing we got. The service was non existent… every time we had a question, the waitress disappeared and took forever to come back. In retrospect, it was probably because she didn’t know what half of the requests meant… after someone in my party ordered a MGD, we saw her by the bar asking everyone what a MGD was. If u didn’t know you should have just asked the customer what it was. Don’t pretend that you know and then take 30 minutes to bring it out. The facility is new and clean, so ill give them credit for that. Won’t be back.

I came here with my boyfriend for a drink after we saw a movie. We were carded and served a fish bowl full of sugary booze and we also got some chips and dips. The women at the bar were wonderful. We took our time reading the menu but they were patient and really helpful. I was ready to like this place. Then after we finished our 84 oz fishbowl of alcohol, someone other than the two bartenders wanted to see our IDs. I have never been carded after being served a drink but I’m not an asshole so we complied without question. Then we were told that my boyfriend’s valid but out of state ID wasn’t good enough and either he needed a different ID or we needed to stop drinking. What? It’s several years old but doesn’t expire for over another year. And he told us that the hologram wasn’t there which was just plain not true. Anyone can look and see that! I don’t know why we were targeted or what the problem was, but my boyfriend and I were incredibly offended at having to be carded a second time over 30 minutes after being carded and served. We weren’t unruly or loud or bothering anyone. If anything maybe we sat too long at the bar(maybe an hour?) but there were plenty of seats. Needless to say, I have no reason to come back, clearly I’m not welcome.

Great service and awful food. Sadly, I use Unilocal to check in to places, but didn’t think to read the reviews until I left disappointedly I believe this is supposed to be Tex-Mexican, the food was just terrible. The chicken was moist but nasty, the seasoning was awful for a fajita style chicken. The guacamole was icky, better guac at whole food! The place was such a waste. The fried ice cream is rolled in corn flakes): The bartender was very nice so I added a star, but the food was really awful. I wanted to be adventurous today but will stick with la hacienda and taco joint when I want Mexican and don’t feel like traveling out of the neighborhood.
