Nice family-run place. It was fairly quiet at lunch on a weekday, with about half to-go orders and half eating in. There are a dozen or so tables, and it feels cozy. My mixed vegetables were good, and service was very fast. I would return if I lived or worked nearby.

Disclaimer: Vegan This is my goto place for thai food now. especially for the takeouts… I always ask them to put in extra veggies and sprouts in most of the stuff and they do wonders… Yellow curry and Pad Khe mao remain my favorites along with Tom Kha — Tom Yum soup. I wouldn’t bother having desserts /bubble tea thou.

So that’s $ 12 I’ll never get back. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for a while and have been hesitant to go here based on other Unilocal,so I should’ve stuck with my gut and gone somewhere else, but I was desperate for lunch since it was 1:40pm. I got an avocado bubble tea that tasted absolutely disgusting. The lady(possibly owner) made me the green tea instead after I complained which ended up being a tiny bit better than other one, but the bubbles were still gross. They are either old or cheap or both. I did the lunch special and picked pad thai. Also very disappointed. It’s edible, but if a Thai restaurant can’t even do pad thai right… that just makes me cry inside. So don’t be like me and go into this place out of desperation. Walk/Ride a bike/Über/Cab it to a better Thai place, so you don’t waste your time, money and disappoint your taste buds ;o(

Can’t speak to the authenticity but I am always impressed by the consistently good service and tasty food.

Our go-to Thai place. It is tiny, charming, and we prefer the curry dishes to the other Thai options in the neighborhood. We are loyalists, you should give the place a try.

I was in the area for an appointment and was super hungry. I randomly walked across the street and saw the entrance. This is a good hole-in-wall discover! It’s very small but I was the only person here at the time. The food is cooked to order and very delicious. Bonus points for the smoothies with tapioca bubbles! Small friendly staff and good casual atmosphere for a midafternoon snack/late lunch. Wide selection of food with pictures!

My family loves this place. I can’t believe I didn’t write a review sooner. So far everything I’ve tried is delicious(mostly the veg options). The atmosphere is comfortable and the service is great. Real nice mom and pop place.

Ordered their lunch special. got a chicken pad Thai and crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon tastes good with its sauce but the pad Thai tasted horrible. I’ve eaten a lot of pad Thais before as its my comfort food but this one has like a «fake» sauce. The staff was really nice though.

We ordered takeout which was delicious. I’m glad to finally have a VERY good local Thai restaurant. We ordered 2 different curries and the mango sticky rice.

Very unsuspecting. Looking at the outside you wouldn’t really think to go in. I ordered on grubhub after just moving into the neighborhood and having no groceries. Food was ready on time. The friend appetizers were good as well as the pad see ew.

What drew me to this place was their bubble tea. I was craving for one and they had pretty good reviews here. I decided to put faith in my fellow Unilocalers and give this place a try. What a disappointment. The tapioca was soft, not the chewy softness that accompanies good tapioca, but the soft gelatinous bite that is a result of old tapioca that’s been in water for too long. This place was somewhat redeemed by its food. Downside is that our order did not arrive with the rice that came with the entrée. Since we had this delivered, we just made our own rice rather than call and complain. Their tom yum fish was good but it wasn’t quite what I expected, although I probably should have realized from the description«in broth» that the dish was going to be fish in soup rather than fish with a thickened tom yum sauce. The bf loved their laksa noodle. The noodles were thin egg noodles rather than fried rice noodles. I actual prefer it this way so I’m happy we ordered right especially since they do have the fried noodle version as well. I would probably eat here again. Food was decent but can’t say it’s on my top ten Thai places in Chicago.

This place is all frozen. Waitingfor our appetizers, we heard the microwave door slam and a beep. Tofu satay was over fried. Veggie egg rolls was ok. Currie and Rice was ok. Tasted weird … My wife had a pad thai and it was disgusting. Tofu tom yum was good. Everything was good until the lady asked if we would like dessert. We look at the menu and nothing looks good after what we ate. We declined and then she asked us if we would like a SAMPLE of some taro cake. I said no but, my wife wanted to try it. When bill came out, we were charged for the sample. Want some real quality Thai Food … Head over to Thai Pastry by Lawrence and Broadway.

YUMMY! Plus the owners are so attentive and friendly! My boyfriend and I were strolling the neighborhood on our way to get tacos, but his feet and nose led him inside this dive-esque Thai(I mean Asian Mix) joint. I was apprehensive 1. Because my stomach was ready for some fish tacos at my usual spot and 2. I’d passed by this place a million times and just never seemed interested in popping in… and I LOVE Thai food. Boy, was I wrong! I simply loved everything about it. Having traveled to Thailand last year, I can truly say this place is pretty darn good. I will definitely be back! This bf of mine sure knows how to pick ‘em!

A little non-descript place just south of Irving Park on Broadway. It’s pretty small inside, but the staff is friendly and they make the food fresh. I had low expectations but was pretty pleased when I gave it a try since it’s right around the corner from me. Unlike a lot of quick Thai places, they never overcook the meat and dry it out. Everything is flavorful and in a fairly sizable amount. Nothing in particular stands out as absolutely amazing, but they do all the staples really well. No off-nights, about as consistent as you’ll find.

Rice from microwave Vegetables from frozen bag Only soup is good Yes, this place isn’t Japanese, per se, so a haiku may not be entirely appropriate. But hey, it’s a mix. I wanted to like it so badly! I still feel bad trashing it. But… the main dishes are just not that good.

Super friendly and attentive staff and owners. They knew me and greeted me as a Regular after just a couple visits. It’s always nice to be recognized, you can really tell these guys want you to enjoy yourself here. Food is consistently very good and a great value.

Asian Mix took me on a roller coaster of emotions. At first I was going to love this place from the reviews I read on the Unilocal. Then when I walked in I swore I was going to hate it, very kitschy décor and I was the only one there. But I saw their lunch specials for $ 6.50 which include soup or salad plus a mini appetizer portion and we are back at love. Then they brought out my soup, appetizer and entrée all together, back at dislike. However, after taking a bite of their pad thai – slap me and call me Sally, we are back at love. Then I saw there is a minimum $ 10 purchase when using a card. Thumbs down. So I ordered their strawberry bubble tea smoothie to bring it up to over $ 10 and when I took a sip of it, slurped it down without a brain freeze, I made it to the final decision. Love.
