Enjoy the banana chocolate smoothly. BUT the staff could care less to be there no smiles, not even a hello. Robots would be more interactive Stars are for the smoothie. Deduction for your could care less staff.

Not always a bunch of options when you’re in the airport, but we settled on B Smooth, which surprisingly is not the name of the latest Hip Hop artist, but instead is a smoothie bar — and surprise again, but we did not get a smoothie. Instead, we settled into the place next door which had salads and such where you could assemble your own to some degree. Now it’s not like Subway or anything, but you are able to choose your toppings from the ones they have, and as such it at least makes for something better than fast food, and the flavors were decent. The price wasn’t horrible either. All in all a nice choice.

Fruit smoothie was all ice and no fruit. No flavor. The staff was helpful but the drink was the worst fruit smoothie I have ever had.

On Tuesday Evening I had a large size banana smoothie at B Smooth. It was made with frozen yogurt and just bananas. It was one of the best smoothies I have ever had. I have had smoothies here dozens of times over the years and they are consistently exceptional. Note the smoothie was quite thick and did require a spoon. It was more like a sundae — which made it even better for me. The guy behind the counter was polite. For 9PM at O’Hare it was clearly a 5 star experience for me. Will I return? Obviously!

Chicken in the salad dry and grilled burnt. Some lettuce old and brown. Choose another place.

Terrible service. Stood at the counter and waited for 5 minutes while the two employees cleaned and socialized. Another woman came up and was greeted. Asked how big the salads were and the employee(hispanic, glasses, did not know name) sighed hard and showed me a bag of chicken in a tiny bag and got mad when I was confused. She made false accusations about what I said, saying I asked about chicken portions? Just admit you heard me wrong. Gave me a foul attitude. Took my money and time elsewhere even though the place did look nice. Disgusting attitudes.

Got a peachy keen for my girlfriend without banana. They put banana in and didn’t blend it so you couldn’t drink it through the strawberries. Went back to ask for a remade one and the staff was rude and complained to each other about it right in front of me. She then left the banana correctly out, but no peach in the peachy keen. Poor option for a smoothie.

The guys are very friendly here. Reggie was inter active and asked if I wanted to try/sample things. I had a tummy ache so I wanted probiotic. I got the probiotic fat-free yogurt, banana and strawberry smoothie. It is very sweet(because of the natural strawberries) yet delicious! They do sell the probiotic non fat yogurt by itself, if solely interested in that. Hopefully this is enough to heal my gut. It is a very small place so everyone is personable, or kind of have to be. I will definitely return. I have yet to try their salads but I heard they are also delicious. They also have diary free options. Burrito Beach and B smooth are my two favorite vegetarian, diary free, and quick spots here in ORD.

If there is an option for zero star for this place… The people here don’t even want any customers come in…

Why am I reviewing another O’Hare restaurant, you ask? Well, I’ve been here nearly 10 hours and am pretty bored. Plus, I hope my feedback will help another weary traveler. This place rocks! Best food I’ve had all day from a place that’s about 10 square feet. The salads are reasonably priced($ 7.19 without meat), and the toppings are sublime. Garbanzo beans, edamame, kale, beets, eggs, spinach, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, olives… and the list goes on. Organic quinoa can be added for a nominal charge. A fresh, healthy meal in an airport full of fried foods and pizza was exactly what I needed to power through my international flight that will hopefully finally leave in the next hour.

The service here was so disappointing. The man making my salad acted like I was completely inconveniencing him by bringing him by business. I almost walked away half way through him making my salad. It doesn’t take much effort to smile and simply be kind to your customers. Really put a damper on the experience, it is enough to make me never come back to get food/smoothies there.

Okay, so I’m only writing this review in the hopes that the manager will see it. But if he(or she) is anything like his employees, he won’t care anyways. I chose to eat here only because I’m on the Paleo diet and it offered the best options tailored to my diet. Once I got here, though, the customer service made me lose my appetite. I seriously would have rather eaten a large Chicago style pizza than go back. The employees were hateful and rude for no reason. I ordered a salad and paid, but then had to wait 10 minutes before anyone bothered make the salad. The employees were too busy socializing(right in front of their customers) to actually do any work. Don’t get me wrong, I get that this is in an airport and its«grab-and-go» style doesn’t really depend on customer service. However, the employees should, at a minimum, do their job when a customer approaches to place an order instead of ignoring them and making them wait for no reason other than to carry on their own gossip.

Probably the healthiest option in the airport. Great for cleansing out the system after your Chicago binge-fest of deep dish, Italian beef, hot dogs, and gallons of beer. Skip the chicken in your salad, though. Tough and not great.

My review is solely based on the salad side of the business. I do understand this is airport food and part of a food court. The salad was ok. The lettuce was cool and the veggies were suitable, but not great. However, when I order a chicken salad it’s a turnoff when they take the chicken out of a plastic bag an dump it on the salad. The chicken tasted like the kind that you buy in a grocery store — that’s been sitting in a Ziploc bag, precooked months ago.

The pros: a pretty decent salad bar at a reasonable price. Fresh lettuce, good topping options, most everything crisp and tasty. The cons: the service was the epitome of disengagement. Now, I’m realistic, I don’t expect amazing service or anything, but this was pretty awful. They blatantly criticized the customer ahead of me for being a cheap skate, the anger that I would not know that I should pay before they made my salad was palpable, and I second guessed my decision to eat here after I saw how awful the attitudes were and how little I trusted that there was concern for my safety, let alone enjoyment. The glare I got when I asked for a fork was freezing! Someone needs to give these guys a raise or some encouragement or a boost of engagement somehow. Better than decent food, but scared to return lest I make the counter workers days even worse for being there.

If you are looking for a smoothie cure that has a solid taste and uses actual fruit, B Smooth is really surprisingly solid. Located in the Terminal 3 Food Court in a small stand scrunched in between several larger food locales, B Smooth offers a ‘create your own’ salad for around $ 7 I believe and several smoothie options including milk/soy options, protein/additional toppings and a variety of pre-set and customizable smoothie options. I had the Peach Strawberry Banana Smoothie option which was just the fruit and apple juice mixed together. Yes, it’s simple but again, with actual fruit ingredients and a good balance of each fruit, the smoothie came out surprisingly good! Note, it has the usual ‘airport surcharge’ so do expect to pay for a little extra(about $ 5 for a 16 oz. smoothie and a $ 1 addition for each addition) but: a) I didn’t see any better options around & b) More importantly, it tasted good and I was properly smoothied-up before my flight. It’s not mind-blowing but very solid and something I’d be happy to come back to whenever I’m in Terminal 3.

I recently flew out of O’Hare and needed some food. I am recently gluten free and have been finding out the hard way that airports do not have g-free freindly food. I found my self at b-smooth for a smoothie and freshly made salad. I was pleasantly surprised buy the quality and taste. I saw them put real fresh fruit into the blender. This is something that is hard to find at regular smoothie places! Next time I go through or go to Chicago, I will definitely stop in to get a smoothie!

Need to get your five fruits and vegees today? This place has fantastic smoothies, and you can get them dairy free(my preference, though I love my dairy products). I prefer them to Jamba Juice(though B-Smooth doesn’t have mangos…). My favorite is the B-Free: strawberries, blueberries and bananas(I can’t remember what the juice base is – I think pineapple. I stop by here before a flight, and I often grab one for the cab ride home, even if I have to schlep to the H & K gates from the G gates.(I’m not good at getting my five – I’m trying hard, though, Mom!) The staff is usually unfriendly, and they often finish their conversations with each other before acknowledging you, but they make the smoothies quickly. The smoothies are good enough(and rare enough in airports) not to dock a star. I can’t that believe that no one has reviewed this place before.
