Brandon is the best! He and Sheraz were very helpful with helping us pick the best jackets and sweaters. Both were knowledgable about products.

Local Barbour is the BEST. Great customer service by people that LOVE the brand. Parking is way easier than downtown. Dog friendly and they sell DOGCOATS.

Love this store! I stopped in looking for a spring jacket and their selection was amazing. I ended up leaving with a full outfit. Complete with adorable loafers and accessories! I had no idea they have dresses too!!!

Not a very extensive collection, smaller cramped store. I was excited to see a Barbour in Chicago and honestly, I love the style of barbour. Classic, feminine, edgy, stylish and quality. However the store clerks who work here are anything but those adjectives. Very stuck up and not helpful. We walked in, no one helped us until a while and then finally was approached by a clerk who was all full of the brand. They were selling the brand as a prestige symbol more so than the quality that embodies the barbour clothing line. Will rather purchase my barbour at nordstrom than here.

Horrible return policy, of course you probably don’t care if you are in yuppieville throwing money around on overpriced duds

I’m a huge fan of the Barbour brand, and have countless jackets, bags, sweaters, hats, and gloves between my wife and I. The downtown team is absolutely awesome; they act as genuine brand ambassadors and treat the customer well. The Lincoln Park team has been the opposite; they’ve been terrible to work with, made exchanges a nightmare(downtown does the opposite), and have ensure I won’t spend another penny in this store. The manager was rude and not helpful. The sales clerk, as I’m mid-checkout, decides to answer the phone and take a phone order for pickup! No thanks. At $ 300 for a sweater, the customer should be treated better than that. For anyone who reads this and has an interest in Barbour, go downtown to the one on Walton. The store is MUCH larger, has a hugely better selection, a significantly better staff, and they actually make exchanges and returns easy, ensuring you’re happy with the end product. Avoid the Lincoln Park location and save the headache.

This store is great. Everybody has a smile on their face, very helpful. Took care of me and waxed my jacket in two shakes of a lambs tail. Hassle free and very quick. Two thumbs up! Thanks again.

I came wandering in on an off day when I had some extra time to shop… and I can’t even tell you how surprised I was to find a brick & mortar Barbour shop in Chicago. I will probably wear my beloved Barbour Beadnell until it turns to rags, so I wasn’t on the market for anything new, but it was nice to look around and browse the store. It has a heavy, kind of moody feel to it and you definitely smell the sweet Barbour wax when you walk in. Is it weird to say I think it’s a sexy shop? Yes? Oh well. Also it’s nice to know that if I ever need any repairs or my jacket needs re-waxing, I can just walk a block over and ask them how to do it. I think I will pop back in when they have their next sale!

So glad that Barbour has penetrated the American market. This iconic British brand makes the best wax jackets which is perfect for outdoor wear with the rugged look but still with a great-looking fit. The waxed jackets were traditionally created for when the English went to the countryside and did outdoor hunting but I guess today even city dwellers have caught on to this. The waxed aspect of the jackets make it ideal for cold and damp weather too. These are one of those purchases that will last my husband and I for a very long time. One of the sales associates told us that it has been a tradition whereby fathers would hand down their Barbour coats to their daughters because they really last for a long time. The sales associates have been pretty helpful during the times we were there and gave recommendations on the type of fit that we prefer and what is more suited to our body frame. I tried on several styles and thought that they were too loose fitting for my petite frame and they were able to recommend me more slim-fitting waxed jackets for my frame. Barbour occasionally has a 60% end of season sale for selected items which we managed to score some good stuff. The classic styles never go on sale though but still a good investment IMO. The nice thing is that Barbour partners with other designers(e.g. To Ki To, Morris & Co) to produce some special collection waxed jackets. Btw, James Bond(Craig Daniel) wore a Barbour jacket in the outdoors in Scotland in the movie Skyfall!

I was able to pick up an 8oz To Ki To winter jacket after the holidays. Best winter jacket I’ve ever purchased. Glad there is finally a retail outlet here in Chicago!

What started out as a pop-up store for the holidayz is now a permanent fixture to the Halsted shopping block, woohoo! I recently checked out their 60% off sale and scored some great jackets. Their employees are pretty nice and helpful, willing to call other stores for items they didn’t have. I would have to say that the lighting in the store is kinda dim. It makes all the navy jackets look black. Also, dog friendly!
