Barry Coin Laundry

We recently moved to the area and found this place 3 blocks from our house. On top of being reasonably priced and clean, it’s the perfect distance for walking or riding your bike to do laundry if you live close by.

Again, minus the other persons review about kids and family, there is Urban Belly Next door you can get a bite or drink. And they have wifi. As long as you buy something, you get the code, you can use it next door. Or there is a mexican restaurant down the street to sit at, or Pork Shoppe, or Burger King. I never wait for my clothes. I live in the hood so I just go back and forth between loads. They are clean! They have nice plants! They always fix their machines. They are attentive! It’s a great little laundromat. Varies from $ 2.50-$ 4.00 a load and $.25 = 10 mins of drying.

Bring some headphones, your patience or find somewhere to meander to while waiting. While convenient to my apartment, I dread going here. It is always jammed with kids running around and screaming while parents forget they brought them along. The laundry carts are not meant to be raced down the aisles that 2 carts already don’t fit down!
Maybe it is the charm of the handmade-by-the-owner’s kid signs decorating the place that lures the kids in to only use the dryer if they are a customer or to only fill the detergent cap to the line!
There are about 8 chairs in the whole place, 4 of which are unfortunately right next to the door that people are badly navigating the carts, smacking into you as they try to aim through the heavy door.
Pros: I haven’t had to wait for a machine or run across a broken one on the couple trips there, and they always seem to be cleaning.
Going here reminds me why I am saving to have my own place with an in-​unit washer & dryer!
