So there website says they open at 9am. I got there and patiently waited as I had class at 9:30 and really needed a book for class. 9:05 comes and goes, 9:10 comes and goes, finally at 9:15 a lady shows up with a kid in tow and says it will just be a few minutes. As 9:25 approached they were still not open and I had to head to class without my book. But, I could see through the windows that the lady had taken the time to plunk the kid down and turn on the tv for it to watch. I do not know how NEIU can allow this to happen. Students depend on this as the only place to purchase our course books. Is it a daycare or a college book store for NEIU students? Was this lady the only person who could open the store? I think at the very least, they could open on time to overcharge us for the books and supplies.

Ripped Off. My son(a freshman at Northeastern) returned his 2 rental books. The staff member couldn’t find my son’s name on the computer in the front of the store, but was able to «find» him on another computer. The«staff» member then took the return, and said all was good. The«staff» member didn’t offer a receipt so my son left without one. A few weeks later without warning we get a $ 185.50 charge put on my son’s credit card for these same books. Made calls to inquire, but of course with no receipt we can’t get a refund. Apparently they have not way to account for this transaction. They apparently don’t have any ability to check on their inventory of what goes in and what out of the store. After calling, we were informed that only one guy is in charge of the returned books — and has no recollection of these events. This same guy offered no receipt for the transaction, has no way to account for inventory and has a faulty computer. The only thing apparent here is that all of these factors cast a bad shadow on the«staff» of this place. WORDOFWARNING, MAKETHEMALWAYSPRODUCE A RECEIPTFORANYTRANSACTION or you may be funding somebody else’s endeavors.

Its your normal university bookstore. Its not very big but it serves its purpose. It is full of really expensive books, notebooks, pencils, pens, bottles with the neiu logo, cranky student employees, among other things. It also has those awful hoodies so you can show your school pride. You pay an arm an a leg but at least you are proud. The school needs somebody to design some better ones. I have nothing more to add. Sigh!

It’s your standard university book shop. Its cool that you can purchase all the books online and pick them up when you go to school. A good large used inventory helps keep the cost to a minimum and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

I like that they have a wide selection of healthy snacks, on top of all of the crummy junky ones. I hate that they are closed on weekends.

Absolutely everything is overpriced, and the staff has the fucking nerve to be rude while ripping you off.

I wish there were more independantly owned bookstores that could make money from textbook sales. Ah well. I guess the underfunded University needs it as well.

Its located inside Northeastern… Its not really big, The staff are students and are usually nice if they’re not busy having their own private conversations… The books are overpriced and when they buy back your books they’re total rip offs. You get about 20% of what you originally bought the book for. JERKS.

This store is located inside Northeastern Ill. Univ. So they obviously have alot of textbooks. Being that I have already graduated I will usually stop here when visiting the campus to pick up art supplies from this store. They also have a OK selection of books other than textbooks. I can also buy a t-shirt that says Northeastern on the front if I am so inclined, I have yet to be inclined.
