The. Worst sub I’ve ever had. I had the American me. The meat was gross and it was drenched in balsamic vinegar, which I guess they call secret sauce.

Not impressed. We tried 3 sandwiches, just ok. Also my friend asked for a special order and they weren’t very good at following instructions(he warned them about his egg allergy and they put a thick layer of mayo on it).

Once you order a sub from HERE you’ll never go to jimmy Johns, subway or Quiznos AGAIN. I’ve tried their turkey club & americanne so far both were great! You can also have it delivered via the Amazon Prime Now app!

Today is $ 1 sandwich at Jimmy John’s, but I rather drive 10+ miles north to Capn Nemo’s. It’s that good. Whatever they put in that secret sauce got me coming here for the last 20 freakin years. One knock is they changed their bread the past year or so. Its definitely not as toasty or soak up all that sauce as well as before unfortunately. Time to bring back that bread from Turano’s!

One of the most intense veggie sandwiches in the city. No other adjective can describe it

This place is awesome. High Flyer is my go to. Top notch. Their veggie sandwich is also the best I’ve had pretty much anywhere. The prices are very reasonable, or low in my opinion, staff is super friendly. And they have terrific home made soup. Nemos Forever!

Great soup. Great sub. Spotlessly clean. The vegetarian pea soup is fabulous. This is an unpretentious local place. We will be back.

I normally Get the Northern Italian on wheat. It’s a nice change of pace from the normal sandwich options like Jimmy John’s, Subway or Potbelly’s. Plus they always give you a sample of soup as an appetizer. My second favorite sandwich they have there is called the«Mexican». They also put up funny messages on the sign in from of the parking lot that are sure to make you laugh.

I honestly don’t know why this place has a good rating. I’ve been here several times and was severely underwhelmed each time. People that think their subs are great must have never had a sub ever before. Best Italian in the city? Laughable. Subway’s is better.

One of my co-workers suggested I tried this place. I am so glad I did today! I must say the décor is funny! The chairs are painted with various characters from tv show, sports, etc. It felt retro! The nice guy behind the counter gave me a sample of their chili, it was good. However, I was interested in their split pea soup! *Sidenote: not a fan of peas but I really like them in split pea soup.* I felt adventurous and ordered the High Flyer. I learned that it had eggs, radishes and pickles in it. I was thrown off by the eggs at first but gave it a try. It was tasty along with the split pea soup! Awesome lunch/dinner!

I’ve been eating at Most for more than 25 years. They prepare their own meals using real food real ingredients. They have excellent vegetarian options as well as meat lover’s options. Their Soup and vegetarian chili are phenomenal. Not your typical hotdog stand or your typical Subway sandwich joint. They also have a location in South Winnetka on Green Bay Rd. You’ll often find the owner Steve working behind the counter truly worth the visit

I honestly don’t see what all the fuss is about. The sandwich was average, at best. It’s sort of in a weird location, which actually helps keep the crowds down. They have parking, which is a nice feature. The people are friendly, but if you haven’t been there before, they’ll rush you through the process before you even have time to look at the menu. There are far better sandwich joints in Chicago.

By far my favorite sub sandwich place in Chicago. So much more character than Jimmy John or Subway, local owner, good for the community. But what about the food? You should always start with a sample of soup or chili. Both the beef and turkey chili are available daily, and a cup makes a good complement to a half-sandwich. A half-sandwich by the way is enough if you order a slim JJ or six-inch Subway normally. The quality and variety of sandwiches is what really stands out though. «Spectacular» and«Conqueror» subs both come with liverwurst — these are worth a try. Even if you wouldn’t normally have it alone or on a cracker or bread, the combination as part of a complex sandwich is miles ahead of the competition. Captain’s secret sauce is a bonus. For the gluten-challenged, you can get the sandwich made up on a plate, still a tasty.

Stopped in here today specifically for some soup since I was feeling a little under the weather. A nice warm container of Barley soup made me feel much better. Of course, wasn’t too sick to add a half sandwich which was delish! Nice fresh ingredients on a fresh slightly crunchy roll. Hit the spot. Parking lot was full, but I didn’t have to wait at all. The spirited gentleman behind the counter, who I believe to be the owner, was accommodating and cheerful. I prefer to have someone greet me as soon as I walk into a place rather than have to find someone who could care less if I’m there or not. Have been going to this place for years and since they are consistently good, I’ll keep it up for a few more years!

Amazing soups the taste so fresh and home cooked. the special sauce is killer I’m sure it is just EVOO and paprika but killer. The Tuna is great as well. My husband goes multiple times a week

This is the best sandwich place I’ve had in Chicago. When you enter the restaurant they give you a sample of soup. Today was minestrone which is good but I love their beef barley. I got the roast beef and it is so good. They take cash and credit but if you pay cash you get a discount. This one is opened on Sunday but the Rogers Park location is closed on Sunday which is a big plus for this one.

Lived over on Roscoe for 4 years and this was my first visit to Nemos and boy did it not disappoint. I ordered two«halfs» expecting it to be about the amount of food as a larger sub and I was not able to finish all of the food. Portions are a huge factor for me when ordering a sandwich. Ordering a half here would probably leave me hungry, but two halves was too much. No idea if anyone else cares, but wanted to throw that out there. Turkey Club with their special sauce was very good and I can not wait to come back here next time I am working from home!

We moved to Lakeview about a year ago, and I regret not stopping in here sooner. I had the turkey chili and an Italian sausage sub, and oh my god let me tell you, I’m impressed. If I could go back in time and never go to Potbelly, and go here instead, I would. For about the same price as a Biggs sandwich, you get a delicious sub and a bowl of soup or chili and a drink. Check this place out the next time you’re hungry!
