This is the worst Chinese-inspired takeout I have ever had. If I could have given it 0 stars I would have! I have eaten American-Chinese, Canadian-Chinese, Polynesian-Chinese, and authentic Chinese(from all the different provinces) ever since I can remember and I’m 75 years old. When we try a new Chinese-inspired takeout or restaurant for the first time we always order the same thing so we can test the waters and have a basis for comparison with the places we do like. If the simple dishes we order aren’t acceptable then that’s the end of that place. I order egg foo young and fried rice, my husband orders shrimp with lobster sauce, and we share. 1) Egg foo young(ordered the combination with pork, chicken, and shrimp): egg had an off-taste; I think there were some bean sprouts but we can’t be sure; there were onions but they were cut so unevenly that some were diced small, some in strips, and some diced large, but at least they gave the patty a bit of flavor when we bit into the onion; the patties were oil-soaked and burnt at the edges; they contained ¼ to ½ inch squares of hard, dried-out, inedible, tasteless pork and chicken; the shrimp were actually pretty good, so we picked them out to eat but there were only three shrimp in the entire order of four patties; thank goodness the gravy that they served with it was on the side because it was a light brown glop that tasted like raw flour(I have never had this kind of gravy served with egg foo young; if it had been cooked thoroughly it might have been barely acceptable with roast turkey) — it was nothing like the light sauce that is usually poured over or served with egg foo young. Between the two of us we weren’t able to eat even one entire patty they were so bad. 2) Pork fried rice: oily and tasteless, and the onions were cut like the ones in the egg foo young but there wasn’t enough onion to give it any semblance of taste; it contained ¼ to ½ inch squares of hard, dried-out, inedible, tasteless pork; there were large clumps of scrambled egg(I’ve never before had large clumps of the egg noticeable in fried rice); the peas were edible although pre-frozen, but the pre-frozen carrot bits were rubbery. Between the two of us we managed to eat about a fourth of the entire large order it was so bad. 3) Shrimp in lobster sauce: someone should tell these people that there is no lobster in lobster sauce — it is a sauce that was invented to be served over stir-fried lobster in American/Canadian/Polynesian-Chinese food and is nonexistent in China, but there were pieces of lobster in this lobster sauce and, to make matters worse, they were fishy and spongey; the shrimp were large and well cooked, so we picked those out to eat as they were the only things edible — there were five of them in the small order; the watery sauce had all the flavor that none of the other dishes had — all soy sauce! We ate the shrimp and discarded the rest. Oh, yes — the white rice. That was no different than it is anyplace else so I saved it because I use it for many things, from making my own fried rice to chicken and rice, gumbo, or wherever I want to use rice. I ended up making bacon and eggs for dinner tonight.

Worst chinese food ever… 1st of all tried to order something which was mentioned in Unilocal menu. they could not even identify that. Secondly after paying a $ 4 delivery charge the delivery person expected me to give him another $ 4 as tips… lastly when it comes to the quality of food it was awfull, bland and hopeless. would never order again from here. if possible wud have given 0 star..

I picked up a couple Szechuan Wonton orders, Mongolian Beef party tray, and chicken Chow Mein Fun tray for a 7 people dinner party. Everything was great. Everybody loved the food, and there was more than enough food for everybody.

If I’m in the mood for Chinese food I always go here. For the last 5 years I’ve lived around here their food has always had good quality and good taste consistency. They advertise that they don’t cook with MSG’s and I believe it because I DON’T feel crappy and dehydrated like after eating Chinese food elsewhere. It’s a quaint family run business with a friendly staff. They have seats to eat-in but it’s better for take-out. I love the General Tso Chicken and Szechuan Won Tons. I’m very surprised of some of the comments with one stars because I’ve always had a good experience.

Really good hearty food. Excellent comfort food. Pork egg foo young and the chicken pan fried noodles is packed with flavor. To go place if you crave Chinese

I love their food! The Kung Pao Chicken is to die for! I have certain allergies and they are always wonderful about not putting those things inside! It is always so full and you certainly get your money worth! Honestly Kung Pao Chicken is my favorite thing to order from here! It is spicy just like i like it! I have had it from many different places and this is the only place I like it from! It’s rich in flavor and juicy! Normally i get it without Zucchini, without peppers and without peanuts and they still fill it up completely! I have gotten food from other places and when you tell them not to put something in you get less. Not here! Here they still load up your plate! They love their customers! I love all the food from here! I will be ordering again very soon! I order off grubhub all the time and off their actual site! I used to live a block away and went three times a week before we moved now its not as often but I love the food!

Chopstick express and jin’s china are the two worst chinese places i’ve eaten at. I ordered 2 entrees of orange chicken and had two bites before deciding to toss all the food. It was nasty meat with a ton of mushy breading. It was also overly sweet. I hope they can step their game up because there are so many better options around. Travel a few more blocks to Jess Café. Best. Food. Ever.

Food is average, service today was awful. I asked for extra sweet n sour sauce, the answer I got was«do you know how much I put in the bag?»(I thought, they must have giving me a lot), so he threw one more in there. Total little sweet n sour packets …3, what a joke! If this is family running the front, based on what I saw today, they should hire a polite person with some sense of customer service. I also noticed he got bothered when a father asked for a to-go container for his kid… Not the only place in town, not coming back. Very disappointed!

Absolutely worst Chinese Food you’ll ever eat. We are visiting close by so we figured we’d give it a go! Never again. This food was the absolute worse. The beef & broccoli has zero flavor. The meat was fatty and broccoli was mush. We ordered a lemon chicken and the sauce tasted like water with lemon. The won ton soup was decent but by not good enough to make me wanna return. The fried wontons were like rubber! I really wish I could get my $ 27.00 back! Save yourself the let down ! Food sucks ! P.s wish you could give zero stars !!!

I’m sorry to post this review because it seems like a nice family owns the place with two young kids, BUT… the food was just horrible and tasteless. I wish I could get my $ 18 back. We ordered two pork egg rolls, two vegetarian egg rolls, chicken fried rice, and a cashew chicken lunch special. This was our first time — and last time — coming here for takeout. My son is an avid Chinese eater(mostly egg rolls and chicken fried rice) and he actually cried when he tasted his fried rice. I don’t blame him — the chicken was white and didn’t taste like anything, and the fried rice needed more flavoring and soy sauce. The cashew chicken didn’t have a nice thick sauce or enough cashews — and it had squash in it? The squash didn’t work. I’ve honestly made better Chinese at home! Just not enough flavor either — I had to add soy sauce when I got home. We didn’t get sick off of it, but it didn’t settle well so we ended up throwing the rest of it out. The other thing — you cannot use your restaurant as a play area for kids. It really ruins the vibe. There’s maybe 4 – 5 tables in there, but there’s kid toys and their children eating and playing. As cute as their kids are(really, they’re nice kids), it feels like you’re walking in on their personal time, and not like you’re at a restaurant. It was strange. But back to the point — the food was just blahh. Please go elsewhere for Chinese!

Ordered Orange Chicken, the tiny pieces were mostly breading. I posted a photo, when I called to complain they said I didn’t order Orange Chicken… I ordered some other chicken dish. Rice was like glue. Returned for a refund. 2 because at least it was hot.

May be the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life… I wish I could give it zero stars Bland…poorly made and flavored… low quality ingredients… had the orange chicken, Hunan beef, and shredded pork with string beans… chicken fried rice and crab Rangoon… certainly my go to food for the non dim sum choices but they were horrible

I wish I can go 3 ½ stars. Delivery was fast and hot. Again this is basic Chinese food fit for American pallet. Even when the menu claims the food is spicy, you need to ask to make it extra spicy to get a kick. The food is very generous and comes in a resealable microwavable plastic container so your left overs(and you will have them) They now offer free delivery on orders over $ 10 and other coupons on the menu.

I ordered some food through them for delivery. First the guy is late and calls me and says he is downstairs come outside. I informed him that my apartment number was 2A and would like it delivered to my door. He refuses and says no come downstairs! I was like WTF? I just paid them for DELIVERY because I didn’t want to leave my place. So I go downstairs and he says signature please. I signed the receipt and then he immediately shoves the food at me almost dropping the 2 bags and turns around and walks away! The food itself was disgusting! How are there Unilocalers in here saying the food is great??? I don’t get it!!! The worst experience I’ve ever had with a Delivery ever! 50THUMBSDOWN!

Large quantities of good food. I ordered their veggie spring rolls, veggie fried rice and veggie lo mein. All very good. The people that work their are friendly and I was a little skeptical to order online since I don’t want egg in my food but they did a great job! Has become my usual Chinese place!

If Express is taken literally, Chopstick Express could not use the word. Chopstick Express should be named Slow Boat From China. We ordered tonight, it’s Sunday, at 6pm. At 7:30pm the food has not arrived yet. At the 1 hour mark I called and spoke to a girl at the restaurant that sounded like a teenager. She said the food would arrive in 3 minutes. I asked her if she knew where I lived, because I had not identified myself by name or address, then she admitted she did not. Seafood Delight and egg rolls cannot be any good or even safe to eat if they can’t be delivered in 1.5 hours and counting. Save yourself the aggravation and potential starvation. Avoid Chopstick Express. You could go to China faster then they can deliver $ 28 worth of food.

The only neighborhood Chinese place I can stand. Quick delivery. I enjoy their fried potstickers, orange chicken. Their fried rice is usually quite good as well.

Decent enough place… I think the family sits here during the day sometimes as I see children about. Food was ok… parking was good and the place seemed alittle busy. I had my food to go so I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.
